60, San Diego, CAEver since my spiritual pilgrimmage to Medjugorje, surrendering to God's will has been an ongoing process for me. Sanctification is a tough but necessary road. And I know that once you start on that journey, there is no turning back. A U. S. Naval Officer until I attended Engineering graduate school, my livelihood is layout design for semiconductor companies in Califormia. But I have two passions --- spirituality and music. I have led bible studies & prayer meetings and enjoy giving spiritual & emotional support to people in need. I'm constantly mindful of the 3 virtues of "faith, hope and love" through the intercession of the Blessed Mother; to be kind, patient, honest, doing unto others as I'd like for them to do unto me, and practicing fortitude --- doing what is right even if it is inconvenient or unpopular. Praying the rosary has been a source of strength in all these aspects of my spiritual walk, and the Blessed Mother knows we need it when she says, "Pray, pray, pray ...". As for music, I enjoy playing guitar at parties and getting people to sing along, but I also can appreciate the value of playing classical piano in solitude. For recreation, I enjoy getting together with relatives & friends; physical training; ballroom dancing (I love dancing "the swing"); going to the movies after dinner; and attending sporting events & air shows.
39, Fremont, CAHello, my name is Richard. Writing about myself has always been difficult, but I will give it a go. I am a person who tries to do things "the right way", even when doing so isn't easy or convenient. I attempt to live out my faith at all times, not just when I'm at church. My friends would describe me as kind, loving, dependable and dedicated. When first getting to know someone, I tend to be quiet and shy, but will definitely open up once trust and rapport is established. I have lived in the Bay Area my whole life. I am the 3rd of 4 children, and also the middle brother. I hadn't realized it while we were growing up, but now I see that my family is actually fairly close. I would like to find that special someone with whom I can create a new, close, loving family. While I am a cradle Catholic who has always been faithful, I have become much more interested into learning more about the church. As a result, my faith has become stronger, and my knowledge of, and fidelity to, the teachings of the Church has increased. I have begun making regular trips to adoration, praying the rosary, and have been trying to get to daily Mass more often. I have been a volunteer in Youth Ministry since I was in high school myself. I find much joy and purpose by helping teens grow closer to God and educate them in the ways of our faith. This includes high school and junior high ministry, as well as preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. I also assist at Mass as a sacristan, lector, usher, and extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. I am a software engineer, and can be quite the computer geek. I enjoy watching and playing sports, and have been a ballroom dancer (socially, not competitive) for about 4 years now. I am an occasional hiker, having done several trails around California.
61, Whittier, CABecause of a life circumstance (taking care of my folks for the interim, at least) I hope to find a friend whom I can share some of what Cali can offer. I enjoy a variety of activities, and prefer not to limit myself to specifics, but I do have favorites. I enjoy a challenge, so I like to be active, physically, intellectually, and spiritually, and seek them out. I've found that compatibility has to be more than a shared faith, though foundational, it's always nice to have common interests. Even though I grew up in a large city near LA in Cali, I prefer spending time outdoors (hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, etc) and would eventually like to live in a rural setting (with my own pond/lake) or near the beaches. What truly would be nice is to meet a friend/wife to travel with (hopefully to areas with good fishing). I'm also somewhat of a quasi political advocate (at least currently), not because of any great love for politics, because I truly believe we must stand for the tenets of our Faith, and other values we hold dear, both for ourselves and our children. I'm also very grateful to have lived very near to Franciscan University of Steubenville, because of the spiritual opportunities that the University offers. The conferences throughout the year are outstanding, and the Catholic community here is solidly rooted in fidelity to the Magisterium. I'm also continuing a last-chance-at-getting-in-real-shape-before-I-get-too-old exercise program, P90X. It's been good even though I am currently recovering from a boating accident through PT. My bucket list would include traveling to Rome, Catholic sites in Europe, Japan, Hawaii, upper Canada/Alaska, and sky diving....
58, West Hills, CAHello, I am a single catholic seeking friendship / partner with whom to share lifes adventures with. I have been single and dated for awhile now, however I have come to feel as though a common faith will allow for a deeper more meaningful relationship, so that is why I decided to try Catholic Match. I enjoy the outdoors / nature and activities such as cycling, skiing, camping, but with a balance between family, home and work. Socializing with friends and family with lots of laughter. I have two awesome kids (young adults), living on their own. As far as empIoyment, I have been self employed most of my adult life. Being in business for myself is an experience in itself; keeping pace with new challenges / changes, new opportunities and working with a diverse group of people.

40, Los Angeles, CAThe greatest in my life is Jesus because with him love and mercy I have know his power. Is the best guide of the life of the people and that each one must take to live according to its teachings.
44, Oak View, CAHERE'S MY NOVEL;-) I know it's a lot... Sorry. My goal is to give you as much of an understanding of the kind of person I am, and some of my interests, not just my faith as a Catholic , but other aspects as well... Im a good man, hoping to find a good woman, someone to share life with, that may have some similar intersts, as well as our Catholic faith which is very important to me. I have a very positive outlook on life and the future, in large part because of my faith. I have 3 daughters who I cherish very much! They truly are the joy of my life and my main focus. I'm very involved with them. I prefer spending our free time together and would rather not pay someone else money, to take that free time. They, and my extended family (theres a lot of us) are a big part of my life... I'm the kind of guy who tries to find the good in situations. I give most people the benefit of the doubt and would hope you would too. I prefer to not analyze people or situations too much and would rather not discuss peoples short comings. I tend to mind my own business, let conflicts go pretty quickly, and have short term memory loss by the next day:) I believe forgiveness is a vital part of life and is one of the necessary keys to living a truly peaceful, happy one. This of course is at the very heart of what it means to Christian. I'm a simple uncomplicated kind of a guy. Im not a saint but certainly hope to be. Definitely a work in progress. There's not a lot that I need, except for the basic essentials of life. I consider owning "5 acres of independence" (at least 5) essential. My dream has ALWAYS been to have a farm/ranch. I'm still working on that, and I'll eventually get there! Ive had a few adventures and I look forward to the new ones ahead. I'm a bit of a risk taker, but very safety oriented. I have many interests, the hard thing is of course finding the time. I enjoy running, mountain biking, camping, backpacking, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, rock climbing:), snow boarding, and even ice climbing, though thats been awhile. I don't understand how anyone has time for, TV?? Except for maybe an occasional movie in the evening after the suns gone down. I consider myself to be well balanced, with my boots planted on the ground. Faith and family are my 1st priority. Health and Health and exercise are very important as well, but in a balanced way. (I couldn't fit my novel in side this one box! The next 2 titles "Ideal Match" and "About Faith" don't correspond sorry!)
55, Sacramento, CAI am a divorced father of three incredible kids, and I am passionate about being an active part of their lives. I love to travel (see below). I also enjoy being in nature - say on a quiet beach or near a high mountain stream, where all I hear is the nature I'm in and the person I am with. I enjoy amateur photography, and have since I was in high school, and hope to find a companion who would enjoy sharing my passions for photography, travel and nature - and join me on a photo expedition or two. I am an avid reader, and always have a book with me to read should I have a few minutes of down-time. I have an off-beat sense of humor (think Monty Python), sometimes sarcastic, sometimes wry - sometimes downright corny and pun-laden, and hope to find a life mate who can appreciate and share it.
