48, Manhattan Beach, CAI'm a good Catholic Guy who attends Church on Sundays and is an active member of my Parish. I've come to realize that my Faith is who I am. It is an Integral Part of My Life. It is how I live my life. And it has always been that way. I sing in the Church Choir at AMC. And am a member of several ministries. Really, I'm just a regular, pretty successful guy that breaks the mold and lives in the South Bay. First and foremost, I am a Gentleman that believes chivalry is not dead. I'm a Romantic. I like to volunteer my time and always help others. I am a very easy-going, laid-back, friendly, kind, and thoughtful person. I've been told that I am a genuine Beach Guy and I luv to do beach activities such as riding bikes on the Strand, playing beach volleyball, taking a stroll on the beach, and skateboarding on the Strand, bbq-ing and entertaining with friends, checking out the local farmers markets and fairs and v-ball tournaments. Luv sports and like to participate once in awhile and also like to watch our local sports teams play. Welcome back my LA Rams! I like to go hiking, play tennis, golfing, swimming, exploring and travel near and far when I can. I like to go out and have a good time with friends or that someone special...Dinner by sunset, a romantic stroll by the beach with the ebb and flow of the waves lapping at our feet, watching the beautiful sunset...but, I'd be just as happy staying at home and watching a movie on Blu-Ray on the home theatre. I come from a devout Roman Catholic Family all of whom I adore. I am the oldest of 2 siblings in my family. I am new to all this so I am looking to make some Catholic friends first, and we can see where we can go from there. "Treat others as You would like to be Treated" are the very words I live by.
42, Manhattan Beach, CAMoved to LA from DC to heal up mind, body, and spirit which went well. Had a medical retirement from career I loved so in addition to physical healing needed to focus on my relationship with God (never ending). Finished a second masters and most recently had a change in plans from getting a PhD/PsyD in counseling and instead do graduate school for Pastoral Theology (concentration in spiritual direction). I love sports ministry and also use other platforms in athletics, law enforcement, and military as "undercover ministry". One of my favorite quotes is St Francis "Preach the Gospel, only when necessary use words". I am game for someone of faith and adventure. After graduate school and a short stint in corporate America, I basically worked two full time jobs plus led athletic ministry. I was a cop, SWAT, crisis intervention, academy instructor, and a college strength coach. Loved it, both jobs had lots of excitement, but also were ministries in and of themselves. In addition I did athletic ministry (ecumenical/evangelical) at the schools I coached and it led to much spiritual growth. I barely slept, always was doing something, and if I wasnt working or working out, I was reading books or visiting old churches and monasteries, nagging Jesuits or other priests and pastors trying to learn more about Christianity and myself. I would love to meet someone who valued their faith, family, fitness, learning, and whatever career they were engaged in. Id love to be married and have kids, and a strong family life based on a firm faith. Im as far as youre gonna get from metrosexual, Im laid back about style or fashion, I drive a lifted Jeep, and Im old school/old soul values. Im no dummy as far as brains and having successful careers are concerned, but I do tend to be more down to earth "midwest" style. I could earn millions and Id still be the same dude. Love deep conversations, lifting weights, MMA, yoga, spirituality, psychology, exercise science, dark coffee, red meat, and long walks by the ocean or in the mountains.
56, Manhattan Beach, CAI am a Catholic man, the middle child in a family of seven children. My mom was a wonderful woman, born and raised in Mexico City, who came here for college. My dad is a wonderful guy, Irish and Dutch background, born in Idaho. They met at a Catholic exchange dance at UCLA shortly after WWII. My dad is a WWII combat infantryman vet. I'm writing about them because their positive influence, love and sacrifices define me and my siblings. They are my true heroes. Our faith, education, self-respect and loyalty were the paramount values that they gently but persistently urged on us. I thank God for that. I am a good man, or at least I try to be, who is blessed with an awesome 12 year old son. Sadly, the marriage to his mother didn't survive, but we'll all be fine. I love sports, reading, socializing with family and friends, the beach, music and exercise. I am an attorney by training and occupation (please don't hold that against me)...), but most days I feel like a rancher or a vet since I look after my son's three dogs, two cats, rabbit, iguanas and fish. On the bright side, I get to walk the dogs along the strand in Manhattan Beach which I enjoy as much as they do. Life throws us our share of challenges, but it's pretty awesome most of the time. All in all, I am a lucky man.
33, Manhattan Beach, CALiving in Manhattan Beach and working in the aerospace industry. It's a job. My last career was the military, it was amazing and it took me all around the world. I am very proud of my service to my country, so if you think that war is always evil and should never be fought, we won't get along. I am also a political junkie, so if conversations about political news and elections bores you, I just might be boring! I am close to my family, and they are an important part of my life. I am the youngest of four (three older sisters!), and love my family. We are all outgoing and very opinionated, so be warned that family arguments will not be for the weak of spirit or mind. I really want to meet you. Trust me!
