59, Modesto, CANot really used to talking about me, so I'll try a quick summary: Retired military (you'd never know it by the way I look now lol), faith shaken past years, only to learn to appreciate it even more after being outside the box. In biblical context, I believe Isaiah 5:13 would fit. Faith is reaffirmed-though I may disagree with doctrine, does not mean I'd disobey. When pushed, ferocious defender of the Faith, as well as the American way of life; jested that if there was a way to restart the military wing of Knights Hospitaller, we'd LEAD it. Then again, when my pastor jokingly tells me "when the Apocalypse starts, the safest place to be is behind YOU!", that says it all. lol I didn't think I was that bad, lol. I make NO apologies for who I am and what my beliefs are, and I stand on my own merits and standards. I lead from the front, not from behind (that's how I was forcibly retired, long story lol) and despite being slowed in some ways, my spirit is considered by most to be..."intense" (whatever that means). Nature's telling me to slow down...but I don't listen. lol Son's grown, 22, but in college and lives with me although he is busy with his own world, and I am busy developing new missions in life. We're very active in the regional Scottish Highland/Celtic Festivals, and we're pretty hard to miss. I'm the only guy who wears a woodland camouflage battle kilt with a full tactical combat vest (my REAL one), my little trademark. We don't play with the big dogs-we ARE the big dogs. Ya can't miss me! ;-) Finally getting ready to take the big plunge and quit smoking forever, already down 90% from military days.As for the 2 faith items in question, I answered no, not as a direct contrarian, but based on other factors. Contraception explained, was simply concern for ones mate later in life as far as health risk from birth, not as applied to healthy young couples in early adulthood. As for papal Infallibility, this one was even smaller difference, as it was only in relation to some teaching by "JP Magnus", he gave reference for us to remember that he is "still human". Though humans are not infallible, I would lay odds that his judgement given to him through his own Communion with the Most High is more reliable than my own pathetic level of judgement when put to a test of dilemma. Hope that helps shed some light, as I answered out of uncertainty, not of defiance. I hope that covers...errr, ok, so much for a short summary. This looks more like a novel, sheesh. lo
59, Modesto, CAI am a physically fit person who enjoys working out and staying fit.I place a high priority in this area, and feel a healthy body and healthy mind go hand in hand.I am not much of a traveler, and prefer the simple things in life.I really enjoy sports and athletics.
66, Modesto, CAHi translate my Spanish message on My Ideal Match & you will know how to reach me. I have been actively practicing my faith all my life and it is the foundation of who I am & philosophy of life. I attend St. Joseph's Church in Modesto regularily & usually at the 7:30am Mass. I would love to spend time with someone with whom I can attend church, share special times with family, friends & be there for each other during the highs n lows that life's experiences, we will encounter. I want to develop a friendship with a lady who is kind, has a sense of humor and who has done her own growing and knows who she is and what she wants. Honesty and integrity are paramount. I am often honest to a fault. I consider myself an active person. I love the outdoors, exploration, travel near and far, spontaneity and playfulness. My life is uncomplicated and filled with a passion for living, so no drama. Communication on all levels is important. I love feel good movies, theater, sports, concert & music events... almost anything that expands my experience . I am very social but also value a balance of quiet time and taking care of myself & I extend this to the person I am befriending. Good relations with family and friends is very important. I am loyal & trustworthy & expect the same in the friendship we develop. Financial sufficiency is important, financial dramas at this stage of life is not my cup of tea. My life has been filled with many diverse and unique experiences, just the way I like it. I want closeness, but I am not needy. We all have baggage at this stage of our lives. What occurred in the past, stays in the past. The here n now is paramount to building a new future. I want a partner/best friend who will support me emotionally, and vice-versa. I've read where everyone wants to meet a "normal person". Well, what the heck is that anymore? LOL :>) No way can one paragraph describe the depth of my being, so if you want to know more, just inquire with an Email. Friendship first, then who knows.

56, Modesto, CAHi there! Can't wait to meet you. Our first conversation will be fun because you will be fascinating. I am a passionate, intelligent, athletic type (6'3 190) seeking one devout Catholic girl for the rest of my life. If you walk with God daily, then you may be the princess I seek. Passport ready - I enjoy culture, music, food, architecture and especially travel! I'm a live music fan and comfortable in suits, jeans, and board shorts or black tie. 57, Modesto, CAI am a cabinetmaker by trade and Supervisor at a high end custom shop. I am old school Italian Catholic. I was married but divorced now. Would consider marriage again with another woman who was conservative like me. I am a very nice guy, hard working, make good money and responsible. I enjoy reading, traveling and going to the beach. I like fishing and sports. Would like to travel to Italy someday as I love Europe.
38, Modesto, CAI suppose I should I apologize for the lack of pictures...I just don't tend to get in front of the camera very often. I'm usually the one taking them. [?] But I digress...I am passionate about music, helping others, my family, and love of the right woman. I grew up in a small town, two doors down from two from the greatest grandparents and with a single father from the age of 8. Make no mistake, I love my mother very much despite her choice, but my parents divorce created difficulties. It was from my grandparents and father that I learned to be respectful, polite, caring, and was introduced to some of the greatest music. =) Truth be told, no man or woman makes themselves....We are all created by God and are influenced by the people around us and events we encounter in life. I feel it would be an injustice to only list a few people that have influenced my life. It's a bit of an ever changing list. My free time is usually spent with friends or family. I love them all dearly and would do anything for them. Though I also enjoy trap shooting on the occasional weekend, board games with friends is always a blast, and getting out to see a good movie....when there is one to be seen. =)
27, Modesto, CAI like traveling, going to baseball games and football games, hanging out with family and friends. Family is important to me, enjoy big family gatherings. I am an Airman USAF. I'm employed as a conductor for the railroad.
47, Modesto, CAI work toward building a Better Tomorrow, for myself and everyone I come in contact with. What does that mean? Professionally, it means I take unsuspecting people off the street and turn them into insurance agents, by showing how to do things right. It means getting to know the people I work with, and knowing their actual needs, and addressing those needs, as opposed to just going for a quick sale. I genuinely feel that I help people, and for that reason, I love my work. All this funds the life I want to live. I go to Mass every Sunday, and I am a member of my parish's Music Ministry, singing in the choir during Mass, and I am cantor once every month or so. I am a Third Order Knight of Columbus, though I don't have as much time to do that as I would like. This Easter marks my five-year anniversary of conversion, and it has made all the difference in my world. Before, I had been experiencing a spiritual call, and I had been delving into my family's Buddhism. It suffices to say that I was a terrible Buddhist, and at the urging of several friends, I tried out RCIA, and the rest is history. I suppose I am a huge nerd. I sing in one of the local symphony choruses in addition to my parish choir, and I play violin for another local symphony. I do love to go out every couple of weeks and do karaoke. In addition, I love sci-fi and action films, and stay current with several TV shows, e.g. Doctor Who, Flash, Supergirl, Game of Thrones, etc. To complete the trinity of nerdiness, I am also a gamer - board games, computer games, live action games, you name it, I'll try if I haven't already. When times are good, I love to travel - I've been to 46 of the 50 states, been to South America, Asia, Australia and Europe. I'm a fairly good cook, though I only go the extra mile when I'm cooking for other people, otherwise I might go out and get a burger, or fix myself something simple. Because of this, I am loathe to call myself a foodie, but I do know food. There is of course more to me, but these are some of the highlights. If you want to know more, drop me a line!
30, Modesto, CAHey, well u already know my name. So anything else I'd rather get to know each other and as questions as we go, also. I do have a really busy schedule.
