51, San Diego, CAWell, what about me? I am the second youngest of ten children. I am originally from Detroit, Mich. I spent eight years in the Navy (85-93) and stayed here in the San Diego area when I got out of the Navy in 93. I am a revert to the faith, I came back into the Church in 92. An honest look at what the Church taught and why in addition to decisive life experiences convinced me of the truth of the Catholic faith. These reflections and rather extensive research on my part were the beginning of a spiritual and intellectual odyssey that continues until this day. I have become somewhat of an armchair theologian. (We Irish Catholics do tend to be know it alls. :)) I write, and give talks when I can, about specific matters of Catholic faith and its socio-economic and political implications on my blog. On the lighter side, I actually do have leisure interests such as sports, both as a spectatar and player, I enjoy music (I sing and play guitar). I am also open to different things as well.
44, San Diego, CAHere I am, typing something up for CatholicMatch.com. My interests in this online dating site are relatively simple: On the search for friendships and maybe companionship, depending on the situation. I have family in San Diego and the Washington, DC area whom I talk with on a weekly basis. I love living in San Diego because I can experience a small-town lifestyle in a big city setting, compared to just a big city place. Thanks for reading my profile, be sure to check out my Interview questions, take care and God bless !
55, San Diego, CAI am native Arizonan born and raised in the Phoenix area. I come from a large family of seven sibling. I have two adult sons. I reside in the San Diego area. I work in the aerospace field. I love live music, golf, sporting events and traveling. I am very active with the Cursillo movement in Phoenix, but hopefully I can join the San Diego group. Any Cursillistas out there?
57, San Diego, CAI love to be outdoors, smelling the fresh morning dew on an early sunrise horizon. Seeing the colors of the day as they greet me with ever increasing light and vision. The cool calming feel of the morning air invirogates and even encourages long sensual breaths. All of these sensations allow me to feel alive, to appreciate all that the day and life has to offer. Camping, hunting and fishing all allow me to use certain skill sets that make even sometimes daunting adventures to be smooth as silk. The way that nature is depicted on the Discovery Channel and even on the History Channel really express how I enjoy all that is outdoors and alive. Although shows like Outsourced, M*A*S*H, The Office all provide laughter and enjoyment as well
25, San Diego, CAHey! This isn't exactly my forte, so I'll keep it brief. My Catholic faith is important to me so hence, Catholic match. Hey, that's one thing we have in common, right? Outdoors stuff, cooking, going out, you name it. Hit me up!
52, San Diego, CAHi there. Falling in love with the right person is easy when the other person is in love with God and lives according to His Will. "Thy Will be Done, on Earth as it is in Heaven". I am a teacher with more than 25 years of experience. I am a hopeless romantic. I love to be near the beach and watch the sunsets in San Diego, especially in Sunset Cliffs. I'm outgoing, love to dance, go to the movies, eat out. I'm pretty easy going. I always pray that I meet someone who is not judgemental because I myself don't like to judge others. You are smart, outgoing, spontaneous, and spiritual.
50, San Diego, CAAbove all things in this world, I try to put Christ 1st. I try to instill Christ love in my daughters by example, prayer, kindness towards others, & living a healthy life. One of the things that I love about living in San Diego is the access to parishes, Catholic events, fellowship & the amount of things to do here. I enjoy the "great outdoors", and would love to spend time with someone who does the same. We are so blessed to be so close to so many outdoor activities. Hiking, skiing, running, rock climbing, & flying are just a few of the things that I enjoy, or have enjoyed in my life. With all of that, there is the part of me that likes to create, tinker, & try to figure out solutions to problems. I have a very curious nature about me, and enjoy asking questions. Something that I hold in high regard is our military. I am the son of a retired Navy Chief, & he helped instill in me love & respect for our country & it's service members. My Mother is a retired nurse, who helped instill a sense of service & healing, towards others. Life has had its challenges, however I do feel very blessed to have the life I have. I've had the opportunity to travel all over the world, & I would love to do more. I was raised in The South, but I have planted my flag in this great city, and I'm here for the long haul. Occasionally a "y'all" might slip out followed by "yes sir/no sir" or "yes mam/no mam" while eating a bowl of grits & drinking a sweet iced tea. With that, I love eating & cooking: Mexican, Italian, Sushi, or a burger chased by some of the good local beer that we have in San Diego. I look forward to spending time with someone who shares my values, & whose values I share. I enjoy watching my kids grow & seeing their progress, mentally, spiritually, & emotionally. I love a good book, movie, politics & odd ball comedies. My mind is still in the past as far as some of my music choices go. When I say past, I mean 1930's-40's style Swing Jazz, or some music from 1980's punk rock (mostly The Ramones). Though Tchaikovsky, Mozart, & Verdi have been known to creep their way into the rotation as well. I do love contemporary Christian music, and feel very fortunate that the parish that I go to has that as part of their ministry. This is who I am in a nutshell.
41, San Diego, CAI'm just a simple guy living life to the fullest, thriving to become the best person I could possibly be. I might not have the ideal job, but I can't complain since it pays my bills. If you're looking for a rich guy then that's definitely not me. I can only offer my loyalty and faithfulness. My mom is the most influential person in my life. She taught me how to treat a woman with honesty and respect, to keep following my dreams, and to simply follow God's plan. I do enjoy watching hockey and football especially since I introduced my nephew to play hockey. Most of my days are divided into hours of work, nephew's games and practices and church on Sundays. It might sound boring but that's how simple my life is. If you enjoy the excitement of hockey then it's a good start.
27, San Diego, CAI live, laugh, and love to express my life in what god has blessed me with. I'm family oriented and I cherish every moment I can with them.I'm a firm believer in what you get, you gave. I'm a passionate, loyal man. I was raised by my mother and father who have shown me nothing but love, faith, devotions, loyalty and what family means. I'm currently full Time in my profession and part time student. I've never done this type of network to find love. Having a "structure" going into this adventure Means I can find my significant other to join me while we share the same structure.
28, San Diego, CAI'm not Catholic... Yet. I was raised my entire life as a Nazarene. I always knew there were other faiths out there. I just assumed that we all had different ways of worshiping God. Recently, a good friend of mine asked me some questions that I didn't know the answers to. So, I started to look for answers. When I found answers to what Nazarenes and other denominations believe, I was a little shocked. I was even more shocked when I found answers to what Catholics believe. And then my head almost exploded when I found myself starting to think that Catholics might be doing things right. I know the class is coming up soon, and I will be attending it. I'm still a bit nervous though. My whole family is Nazarene. Should I come out of this a Catholic, I would essentially be saying to them that they are wrong. It's a little scary but I believe God will take care of me through this. As Padre Pio says; Pray, hope and don't worry. I intend to do just that.
29, San Diego, CAMy name is Hien , just call me Ryan. :). I love san diego. Working full time as a software engineer. A Catholic guy who is looking for a soulmate. I wanna know someone whom i can share life and story with, make a path and explore a new journey.
21, San Diego, CAHello I'm Walt. I am an information technology specialist for a major financial institution and now that my children are grown up, I have more time to dedicate to myself. I've thought about going back to school or dedicating my time to a worthy cause or maybe taking some Salsa lessons, but I need a partner. I love going to the movies, shows and attending live concerts. I'm a fan all music genres especially the 80's. Basically if it sounds good then I'm a fan and what night out would not be complete without dinner. I love Italian, Sushi and good old American home cooking. I also enjoy witty conversation. I have amazing bothers and sisters that have been influential in making me the man I am today. I love them dearly. I believe that you get what you give, so I would rather concentrate on the good than dwell on the bad. This makes for a happier life.
