75, Malibu, CAI am a lawyer, hiker and photographer who is looking for one lovely, very special woman with whom to spend the rest of my life & have fun. How about you? I would like to find my "someone special" and marry her. I believe she is somewhere in this world, but seemingly difficult to find. For fun: I love to hike, I spent time studying photography with Ansel Adams before he died, I have owned 3 fishing boats and a small sailboat and fished for years, I play golf and tennis, swim and love to dance (if I can find someone who likes it too). My job: I am my own boss and my time is my own, except for deadlines that are present at times. I am a lawyer and have been one for years. I am a nationally-recognized expert in a sector of banking law. I write political articles for fun too. My ethnicity: I was born & raised in West Los Angeles (Westwood, Brentwood). My father was of German ancestry who came to the U.S. in 1849. My maternal grandfather was a Scot & my maternal grandmother was Irish. My ancestors first came to America from Bristol, England around 1760. My education: A.B., UCLA, economics; two law degrees, one from Berkeley and another from Georgetown. Favorite hot spots: I have traveled extensively in the U.S., Europe, Ireland, England, Scotland, Canada, the Caribbean, the Bahamas and the Hawaiian Islands, and love them as well as the people. I have covered Europe from one end to the other (e.g., 15,000 miles in three months), the Hawaii islands (most of the islands), the Bahamas (e.g., fishing tournaments), the Caribbean (e.g., the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands), Canada, part of Mexico and I have made 12 trips to Ireland, spending 2-3 weeks at a time there. Favorite things: I worked in national politics for many years, and still follow it closely, for fun & work. I read books about politics, Alexander the Great (who probably influenced world history more than anyone except Jesus), watch TV & listen to Bach, country music, and lots of other music. Last read: "The American Presidency" by Forrest McDonald & "Alexander of Macedon" by Peter Green. Both were excellent books written by true scholars. Also, several times every day I read the London Times, WSJ, USA Today, Washington Post, LA Times, etc., etc., online.
60, Lakewood, CAI am 5' 11" at 171 lbs. I have brown eyes, dark brown hair, and my physique is regular to slim.. I am at an ideal weight basically. People have exclaimed to me that they thought I was much younger than my actual age.Whew! I thank God for these genes! I am low key, at first shy, but can warm up quickly with the right person. People have described me as sincere, considerate, respectful, friendly, loyal, a man of his word. In private, I would add that I have a big heart. I am compassionate. I sacrifice myself for the sake of others. I also happen to be very passionate in whatever I apply myself to. I fiercely believe in love that is patient and kind and always forgiving... For love is not a feeling. Love is a choice! I like to laugh at funny scenarios and absurdities in life but never at the expense of hurting the feelings of others. I believe in chivalry and romance. I believe in opening doors, etc. I hope to find someone who I mutually trust and admire. Honesty of oneself is critical to understanding and loving one another. When one is honest with oneself, then one can be honest with the other. Honesty begins with self. This is Really BIG for me! I pray to do the right thing in the present(God's Will). I am not judgemental about others' past, for we are always God's people in progress. By working on ourselves who has time to be judging others? In a word, I guess what I am saying is... that I am looking for someone who is sincerely working on themselves daily. Faith and commitment to follow Christ through the Catholic Church's teachings and practices is a requirement for me. I will explain more in private how I make this happen. If you already know it's grand importance and have this in place in your life, then I would love to hear from you!!! Now for interests, activities and hobbies...I am very flexible in doing whatever my special someone would like to do or does already. I like to do all activities where our senses meet the wonders and the natural beauty of the world around us. So, use your imagination! Insofar as type of food... I love Thai and Chinese. I am open to all other types of food as long as it's not squiggly or looks at me while I am eating it!!! (LOL) In summary, I am looking for a long term friendship with someone who has been looking for a guy whose heart and soul is in the right place, where God is placed first in the relationship, where our love and faith is spiritually nurtured.

74, Indio, CAI am Passionate about my faith and my family. When my wife passed I returned to the Catholic faith with gusto. I know how important it is to have Jesus Christ in my life. I believe in eating healthy and exercising for good health as well. I am retired form Industrial product sales and now work part time as a handyman. Though I don't currently have a pet of my ownI, I enjoy being around my friends pets. I am a volunteer with the, Read With Me program, The Senior Visitation Ministry and belong to Catholic Men's Fellowship. I am not a "Serial Dater", though I feel meeting numerous people is necessary when one is looking for a life partner. I'm a loving, caring guy who is looking for a good woman to spend the rest of his life with. After experiencing the joy of a happy marriage, I am looking to remarry and experience that joy again. I know that with GOD's blessing, that will happen. In regards to Church Teachings: #2 - Because of societies rampant STD problem, even among people my age, I feel that contraception may be appropriate for those beyond child bearing age. #5 - A tough issue for those of us seniors, who desire to find a compatible marriage partner. It must be when and only when a mutual love and respect is present.

61, Los Angeles, CAHello and thank you for viewing my profile! I am very happily committed to sharing Christ's love and friendship with someone and am open and feel blessed to welcome a marital calling and, perhaps, even giving life to and, or, raising children for God's family. I am most joyful volunteering in ministering to 'at risk' incarcerated young ladies with the Jesuit Restorative Justice Initiative with Fr. Mike Kennedy )at JRJI.org), treating my dental patients, running my car on the track, quiet time and praying the Liturgy of the Hours, camping, music, visiting with my brother or sister, cousin or friends, playing piano and surfing. I believe what is portrayed in the book of Genesis regarding women being God's greatest gift to man. And I hope, with God's Grace, to live a life born anew and restored to the original state where the love that I and a woman share reflects Christ's love for his Church.
