62, Whittier, CAI am a divorced parent with grown children. I am now looking for someone to grow old with and enjoy what life has to offer. Looking for my best friend, lover and soul mate. I am very easy going, not into bars or clubs but i do like to go to concerts, plays and movies.
61, Whittier, CABecause of a life circumstance (taking care of my folks for the interim, at least) I hope to find a friend whom I can share some of what Cali can offer. I enjoy a variety of activities, and prefer not to limit myself to specifics, but I do have favorites. I enjoy a challenge, so I like to be active, physically, intellectually, and spiritually, and seek them out. I've found that compatibility has to be more than a shared faith, though foundational, it's always nice to have common interests. Even though I grew up in a large city near LA in Cali, I prefer spending time outdoors (hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, etc) and would eventually like to live in a rural setting (with my own pond/lake) or near the beaches. What truly would be nice is to meet a friend/wife to travel with (hopefully to areas with good fishing). I'm also somewhat of a quasi political advocate (at least currently), not because of any great love for politics, because I truly believe we must stand for the tenets of our Faith, and other values we hold dear, both for ourselves and our children. I'm also very grateful to have lived very near to Franciscan University of Steubenville, because of the spiritual opportunities that the University offers. The conferences throughout the year are outstanding, and the Catholic community here is solidly rooted in fidelity to the Magisterium. I'm also continuing a last-chance-at-getting-in-real-shape-before-I-get-too-old exercise program, P90X. It's been good even though I am currently recovering from a boating accident through PT. My bucket list would include traveling to Rome, Catholic sites in Europe, Japan, Hawaii, upper Canada/Alaska, and sky diving....
35, Whittier, CAWell...I guess a good place to start is how I got here. It took me a long time to succomb to the idea of online dating, mainly due to the stigma attached to it. I mean. I'm not a rapist or a stalker trolling the internet in search for its next victim. Nor, am I a forty-something year old dude who lives in his mothers basement whos' only chance at companionship is through a mail order bride service. I still feel weirded out by the idea of online dating even though I have been on this website for awhile and even though it is becoming more socially acceptable. There are times were I feel at any moment Detective Stabler from Law & Order SVU is gonna come kick down my door, throw me onto the floor, put me in hand cuffs and say "hey dirtbag, your coming with me." Well, like most everybody here, I joined because it became very difficult to find devout and practicing Catholics in my normal social settings.
45, Whittier, CAAre you energetic, sincere and balanced? If so then Great! I will admit, writing about myself is not the most comfortable thing for me. I say if you like what you see in my profile: then by all means say hello and let us strike up a conversation. If the chemistry flows between us then we are off to a good start. Pluses: Intelligence, creativeness, assertiveness and being open-minded. I tend to relate/think/ organize things in to bullet points. I am respectful of differences in all of us. If you care to read more .... I am: Energetic, funny at times, friendly, warm-hearted, romantic, witty, gentle, caring, loving, true, faithful, honest, hard-working, a good friend, confident, a good listener (usually), patient (most of the time) diplomatic, careful with peoples feelings and overall a good decent human being. I love the outdoors, the beach, fresh air, hiking, running and anything outdoors just about. Also, sporting events, theatre, musicals, ballet and museums I also enjoy very much. Are you looking for a person with a decent, kind and gentle heart who believes wholeheartedly that - "But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round -- apart from the veneration due to its sacred name and origin, if anything belonging to it can be apart from that -- as a good time: a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time: the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys" - Dickens. I love much about southern California. However, over the past thirty-plus years too many takers have populated the area while the givers have fled and for good reason. Unfortunately, the beauty that once was here in the Golden State has all but vanished. As much as it pains me to say it: my future is no longer here. My plan is to move north in the next 5 plus years. Hopefully find a place where I can see the stars in the evening and someplace where I can hear myself think. I would possibly commute to work in a small city and live in the country or mountains. Maybe I will even get small plot of land and grow a small amount of crops and even keep a greenhouse for more sensitive plants. Perhaps I will even be able to enjoy nature.
50, Whittier, CAFirst off, what I will say in one word will speak volumes. I'm a Baysider and have been one for 25+ years. And, I attend the anniversary vigil every year if possible. I attend daily Mass at my local parish. Whether it be Traditional or Novus Ordo. The rest of me has to be found out.
35, Whittier, CAI am a single catholic man residing in Los Angeles County. I work full time in the field of behavioral therapy ans I am also a single father. I attend mass every sunday and during the week when I am able. In my spare time I enjoy the gym, movies, sporting events, bbq for friends/fam, listening to live music, shooting pool, having coffee, or having a beer/drink. When my schedule permits I will assist at my church where ever help is needed. Im seeking someone that is of the Cathloic faith. Id like to meet someone that is positive, fun, likes to laugh, honest and has common interests similar to myself. I am the type that would like to meet a girl that enjoys spending time with each other going out but also is fine with relaxing at home or being in a relaxing place. I am looking to date and progress towards a relationship if there is a connection/potential. I would also like to attend mass with each other. Good luck to everyone and feel free to contact me if you're interested.
