I've lived in Denver for the past 10 years and enjoy all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. Hiking, boating, skiing are just a few of the things I like to do. I love to travel both near and far and have found I like areas with water access. SCUBA diving and snorkeling as well as sailing are at the top of the list on most vacations. Weekend get aways to the mountains any time of the year are always fun.

I am an honest, dedicated and hard working full time father of four wonderful children. Raising my children in the Catholic religion and teaching them good morals and values is of the utmost importance to me.

I'm a nice, easy going guy that wants a family of my own someday. I'm at a great point of my life right now & eventually would like to find that awesome someone to spend it with. I enjoy being outside but I'm also up for Netflix and just relaxing. I think communication is very important in a relationship, hence why I've never been married. I'm pretty easy to talk to and want someone who can at least try and share their feelings lol. Anyway I thought I'd give this a shot.

Hello! The first thing you need to know about me is that I am very passionate about my faith. There is nothing rigid about my faith though, it flows from this deep reservoir of joy and a living relationship with God. I am most passionate about getting outdoors, even at work I will sneak a hike in during the day! This past summer I used a book to seek out hiking trails and marked them off as I tackled them. I love to ski, bike, hike, water ski, swim etc. I also love to go out to restaurants and festivals to enjoy good food, entertainment and especially meaningful conversations with friends. I can also enjoy a quiet evening at home.watching a good movie, cooking a wonderful meal (yes I can cook and I love it!) or just sitting in the silence in front of a fireplace. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to treat you to a lovely meal! :)

I'm a dedicated professional living my life according to old fashioned morals. I'm an Eagle Scout so I love hiking, and camping and basically anything outdoors. I'm also a writer and I write poetry, along with some short stories. I'm physically active doing MMA workouts several times a week and going out swing dancing when time allows for it. I'm also a geek as I love Lord of the Rings (LOTR) and Star Wars, and Japanese animation (the clean stuff like Princess Mononoke). I enjoy getting together with friends and playing board games, or watching movies. I'm a fan of the Marvel Studios movies and collected comics when I was younger. Right now my main drive is to get into the best shape of my life so I can really hit the mountain trails around Denver and hike to my heart's content. I feel God's presence most keenly surrounded by the majesty of nature.

I knew a kid named Rodney while I was growing up who believed he could fly. He would build big ramps and jump his bike off of them, fly several large kites at once, and even broke his leg in several places jumping off a barn roof with his mother's curtains tied to his body like wings. These attempts were misguided, but he never stopped believing. Finally, when Rodney grew up, he went to flight school and now works as a pilot for Southwest. I never fly Southwest, because the off chance he could be flying my plane. He was always a little nuts. But that's beside the point. I've felt a lot like Rodney in attempting to find someone to share my life with. I've tried a lot of different ways to meet women, and have my fair share of scrapes and bruises to show for it. But I haven't stopped trying yet. I've tried internet dating before, with comically bad results. What can you learn about a person from a few questions and a couple paragraphs? I prefer more personal interaction, but work and other obligations have made that hard lately. My friends and co-workers have convinced me to give this another try, and what the heck - this could be the time I find my wings, right? I'm a lot more Humphrey Bogart than Cary Grant. And the fact that I use a reference that's almost three quarters of a century old probably says a lot about me. I'm old school, a bit rough around the edges, but I have a heart of gold and would do just about anything for my friends and family. My faith is evident in my actions, and not just the things I say. I travel a LOT, and enjoy exploring new things. I've been to over 20 countries from Asia and the Middle East to Europe to North America, but I always enjoy returning to the Mile High City. I'm creative, and enjoy the arts. Although I grew up in the foothills I really enjoy all that the city has to offer. I'm a sports nut, particularly a fan of football and soccer. I could give you a detailed list of likes and dislikes, personality traits and desires, but what fun would that be? Meeting someone new is always more enjoyable when it's an exchange. Reach out, and we can begin to get to know each other better. I promise - Being a Bogart is hardly ever boring.

My life has become more of an adventure than I ever dreamed. I expose hidden plots and travel to foreign lands. Seriously! I love to talk about good books and great thoughts. I like to tell a few jokes and quips, however bad, just to provoke an unexpected gut-busting laugh. I even indulge in learning (but not practicing!) the dark arts of modern politics. I seek to build and defend my community and my Church as best I can. Oh, and I really like being Irish-American. In my spare time I like to learn languages, to memorize Irish songs, and to go on hikes. I'm deeply attached to some friends who host a co-ed poker night at least monthly. I like to hang out at the Denver Press Club. I'm involved in a global affairs group called WorldDenver. I also like to teach people about the political process and help them become leaders in their community. Quirky thing though: despite all my socializing I'm actually an introvert! At some point I hope to return to the ski slopes and to the swing dance floor. Some long-time injuries have slowed me down. I was fully disabled for a few years, but I'm on the mend. This probably means no career for me in pro sports. But I'm deeply grateful the bad days are behind me.

Hey I'm Jake. I'm an athletic guy who loves playing and watching all sports. I'm passionate about fitness and staying active, especially outdoors which includes hiking, hunting, and fishing. I grew up with very loving and supportive parents who have influenced my life more than anyone, especially in the teaching of my faith. I am originally from a small town in Colorado. I love country music and recently decided to attempt learning different styles of country dancing, hopefully with only one left foot, let's call it a work in progress. I am interested in meeting someone who shares similar interests in all aspects of life.
