I am a 38-year-old man who lives and works in the Stamford area as a staff writer for one of the local newspapers. I love to play music and play the guitar and keyboard, and also enjoy reading in my spare time. I've been working towards the point to be ready to meet the right person, though I'm not quite sure how difficult that will be. I would like to have a nice romance and have things develop naturally.
  • Mark, 37 from Stamford, CT
    37, Stamford, CT
Hi! I'm Mark. First, let me say that being on an online dating site is very unlike me (yes, I know everyone says that, but it's true)! I'm hoping it will give me a means to connect with some people of good character who are proud of their Catholic faith. I feel I don't have enough people like this in my life. A few random factoids about me: I have always lived in Stamford, CT and still attend mass weekly at the same parish where I was baptized as a baby. My entire education from kindergarten through college has been at Catholic schools, for which I am most thankful. Cars are my passion, and I probably have a few too many "toys." I'm an animal lover. I've continued my family's male tradition of being vertically and follically-challenged (sigh). I wear my Mets cap even when they're underachieving, which sadly is most of the time! Family is very important to me and I think my parents are the best! I REALLY don't like to dance. I'm a bit of a workaholic. I'm good with kids, and would love to have my own some day. My taste in music is varied. I have a B.S. in Computer Science, but strongly object to being labeled a computer geek. I like to travel and have been very fortunate to have been able to do quite a bit already. I'm often accused of being too quiet and/or too serious. I'm more of a home-body, but I try to be sociable. To know me is to love me, so get to know me!
  • Frank, 55 from Darien, CT
    55, Darien, CT
I like like all kinds of fast transportation: cars, boats, trains, etc. I like all kinds of sports, except boxing. Truly, I have a passion for football. One of the things I like to do for recreation is go to Mohegan Sun--a casino in eastern Connecticut. Ronald Reagan, who I wrote a 55 page paper about in graduate school, has been an influential person in my life.
  • Chris, 46 from Stamford, CT
    46, Stamford, CT
I enjoy all types of people and activities. My faith is very important to me. I'm an intelligent, successful, hard working, down to earth man who is looking for a faith filled woman to marry and have a family with.

There was a great lesson that I learned almost 25 years ago that has molded my being in ways I couldn't possibly enumerate. It was taught to me, personally, by the Blessed Mother herself. She showed me, literally step by step how to live by it. I understood it fully, and implemented it immediately. It was so simple, yet so few even consider it possible, let alone begin to comprehend its ramifications. I've gone through life with most people thinking I'm out of my mind. She taught me absolute, unwavering trust in Divine Providence. That lesson created a man who's done almost nothing in life the "normal" way by American societal standards. Details are not forthcoming in the remainder of this profile, so we'll have to get to know each other if you're brave enough to find out just how abnormal I am. Other than that, I am a very easy-going, consistent, emotionally mature, honest, open, communicative, trustworthy, loyal to a fault guy. The Lord usually gives me a high degree of sensitivity to the thoughts, feelings and desires of those I love. He keeps me stable in even the most traumatic times. I am always true to myself, regardless of circumstance. I love the Chesterton quote, "He is a sane man who can have tragedy in his heart and comedy in his head.". This section asks me to talk about passions. Aside from my Catholic faith, my greatest passion is fatherhood. You only get one chance, and a few short years to form these little souls in love. That's more important than money, career, social acceptance, or anything else the world has to offer. Sometimes it gets tiring to hear "Dad, Dad, Dad" every 30 seconds. But one day those voices will be gone and I'll be left with either satisfaction or regret. I'll win or lose. I'm a sheep or a goat. As a father, in each case, I try to aim squarely for the former. With God's grace, I hope to hit the mark more often than not. Time will tell. I'm also quite passionate about good health, though I'm by no means a fanatic. I exercise nearly every day and I'm very big on supplements. I'm rather omnivorous, as I like pretty much any kind of food, (unless it's poorly prepared). I can be passionate about food too, and am a fairly good cook. I'm also very funny, but I'm won't attempt to be here. I will invariably end up saying something that makes me sound like a tool, and we can't have that. I love photography and videography. And I love to write, thus, I'm out of spac
  • Dennis, 67 from Shelton, CT
    67, Shelton, CT
Hi there! :) I routinely participate in patriotic events, one of my most favorite and rewarding is, during the week of Veterans Day, giving presentations in grammar and middle schools. The staff and students have been are wonderful!! In 2012 I had the honor to do five of them in Shelton, Newtown and Amity. I was a volunteer for "Swim across The Sound" for eight years, a Symphony on Ice volunteer for six years and have been a Special Olympics volunteer for thirty years. Do a litte volunteering for TEAM as well I am retired from the Navy as well as a position in engineering at Sikorsky Aircraft. I try to swim 13 laps each weekday energy is taken up in working on my house and yard which there never seems to be enough time for. I can fix most things.(getting to them might be the problem!) (Sorry if this sounds too much like a resume, but I believe it gives one a basic idea who I am.) Schools: City University, Bridgeport Engineering Institute, Many military technical, management and leadership schools. I enjoy spending time with people and am friendly, sensitive to others feelings, respectful, supportive of friends and family, witty, philosophical, humorous (puns are my forte) and down to earth. At this point in life I'm letting God drive (He always did anyway) and I'm taking my hands off the wheel (for the most part) :) There are a lot more things I would like to do but would enjoy the company of a nice lady in doing them... the restaurants, social events, days trips, site seeing, boat rides, wine by the fireplace and so forth. (I have the wine ,the fireplace and plenty of wood. :) I enjoy just about any wholesome activity. (Casinos and sports are not in my interest as well too much opulence- don't get me wrong, I like the Newport mansions.). I even enjoy shopping with a woman. (To me, that is part of having a lady in one's life!!) FYI, I have no immediate family but know many people who bring much joy into my life. I was brought up by wonderful, loving parents who I am eternally grateful for. My Dad treated my mother with respect, always opening the car door for her even when they just went shopping, and walking down the sidewalk on the outside . He was a good role model for me. I am traditional and believe in old time values. Currently reading "Rediscovering Catholicism". Thank you and wish you the very best! (PS: I return all respectful emails.)

I'm not particularly good at talking about myself. I guess I'm somewhat lonely and joined this thing to see what's available out there... if it isn't glaringly apparent, I'm a complete novice at this thing.

Life is better shared. First I am God loving and fearing. I have a big heart, honest, hard working, faithful, compassionate and fun loving. I have two beautiful kids that I love dearly. I have my own business that I started when I was 20 yrs. old. I enjoy traveling, concerts, taking walks, movies, sitting in front a fireplace, long weekend getaways, fixing dinner-together, dining out, BBQ with family and friends and supporting and helping people. I am hoping to meet someone to enjoy life with, someone I can treat like an angel, pray with, my best friend. Kind hearted, sweet, loving, Loves to laugh, and loves to hold hands and kiss. And most importantly walk with me in faith.
