58, Windsor Locks, CTHi, I'm Mike! I am a single, christian man, never married with no children. This wasn't a choice, just a matter of fate. I look at it like it wasn't my time to be married at an earlier age. That being said a little about me: I am 57 y.o., about 5'-8", medium build, I try to eat well, exercise and I am a non-drinker. I am a professional with a good full time job. I have many interests, I won't say I "like to have fun", but just say I like everything from local craft fairs to site seeing and learning new things, most important is I am interested in hearing what you are interested in. I like to listen and learn. You might be thinking "this guy must be real picky". Well truth is I am first and foremost looking for a honest, straightforward, woman with traditional moral christian values, that's it. But, with culture today the way it is I guess that would be considered being picky or even strange. Finding someone for a long term relationship, someone well grounded, someone with good values, someone that likes to laugh, someone with a variety of interests and someone who wants to walk the pathway of life together are reasons for me being here. I am a down to earth, a good listener and have a nice sense of humor. I love the outdoors, biking, long walks, nature, being active, antiques, fairs, day trips, site seeing and trying new things I'd like to hear about you. I'd like the chance to tell more about myself and I'd like be begin our journey together. Hope to hear from you soon! Mike

25, Morris, CTIf you're interested, you can read the brief write-up I have below. But I really prefer getting to know people face to face. Different aspects of people have influenced different aspects of my life. The epistles of St. Paul have given me encouragement and feelings of warmth in times of trouble: he often speaks of our union with Christ in both death and rebirth. These writings remind me to unite my suffering with that of Christ, always remembering the Life to come if I "finish the race" by the grace of God. St. Louis de Montfort, along with some other saints, present to me the idea of being a brilliant artist while being faithful to God; I have an admiration for writers and enjoy learning of their backgrounds, but often find disappointment in discovering their promiscuity and lack of Faith. St. Louis de Montfort was gifted with artistic talents (poetry, wood carving, and music) and used it for the sake of portraying the beauty of God and evangelization. Finally, I often derive inspirations of courage in fictional heroes. This may sound strange, but it is a valid point if you examine it: Spider-Man has always been a personal favorite of mine (definitely my man-crush if I had to choose one), for instance. The message of Spider-Man 2 (the film, of course) is: "Sometimes, in order to do what's right, we have to give up the thing we want the most." A very potent message to be sure, and undoubtedly relevant to a practicing Catholic in today's world. Consider another example in the character of Ebenezer Scrooge: here we find a character deeply rooted in sin and moroseness, seemingly without hope. But, by the grace of God, he repents of all his wrong-doings and focuses the rest of his life doing good. These characters, though fictional, iterate true ideals which have the potential to enlighten us in dark periods.
