Orthodox, scholar, homebody. The main thing that I want from life is to work out my salvation, to which I think that married life can contribute. Next is to improve my intellect, to which I devote as much effort as I can, especially through reading. My intellectual activity includes my career: I am a teacher in a Catholic high school and an adjunct professor at NYU. My jobs, therefore, are not just for earning; they are a "life-work" (to borrow a phrase from Tolkien), as I go further along the path of intellectual achievement and take others with me. On a daily basis I get up and go to teach at the high school, where I often stay long after the end of the school-day because being a great teacher takes that extra effort; moreover, my commitment to doing my job well and improving every day, along with the personal satisfaction that comes from success, means that my work also takes on the nature of a very intense hobby. Accordingly the investment of time and effort that I put into my work, far beyond the minimum requirements, is similar to that which, for example, I observe my brother making on training for triathlons and marathons. On Tuesdays I go to New York and teach an evening class at NYU. On most evenings and weekends I seek the comfort of my home, especially settling myself in my library to read, or I enjoy the company of those people whom I have consciously chosen to include in my life. The number of such people is quite small--mostly family (including some cousins), a few long-time friends, and some of my colleagues--but I opt for quality over quantity in terms of my social circle. The activities that I enjoy with these people include watching movies, playing games, and simply having great conversations. I take seriously my citizenship in these United States, and with regard to politics I affirm the principles that Cardinal Ratzinger explained in 2004 in a letter on worthiness to receive Holy Communion. In terms of health my main goal is to stay trim. I value culture, by which I mean civilized culture, and so I try to avoid the more vulgar aspects of popular culture. I don't go clubbing, but I do like waltz and polka. I am not at all materialistic, and my aunt once called me "no-maintenance". Finally, if I may say so, I have a good sense of humor, which can vary from sarcastic to corny, and I can laugh at my idiosyncrasies.

  • Andrew, 33 from Guilford, CT

    33, Guilford, CT
It's been some time since I updated this, so here goes! My name is Andy and I moved to the Atlanta area January, 2013 and am looking to meet someone who is my "catholic- match" (corny, I know. But most women love a guy with humor ;)). I'm very interested in working with computer graphics in my spare time as well as an avid reader of theology and history. My passions lie in the arts and I enjoy getting involved with a creative project with like-minded folks who love what they do. While I'm not too big of a party-person, I do enjoy making friends and picking people's brains to see what they're about. Other interests include science-fiction, fantasy, anime, and many other aspects of geek culture. One thing I really enjoy are collecting art books that have character model sheets, concept artwork for movies and video games, etc. While I'm not heavily interested in sports, I don't mind the prospect of going to a Braves or Falcons game and enjoy playing soccer when it's not too hot out. I make it a point to get some exercise in during the week even if it's 20-30 minutes on the treadmill and typically avoid buying junk food. I wouldn't classify myself as a health nut per se, but the best way to avoid temptation is to eliminate it in the first place.

I am seeking a companion who would enjoy building a relationship around common interests and the desire to find support in the day to day pastimes with one another. I live in a mobile home by the sea and have had challenges with depression which is mostly under control. I am passionate about pro life interests, our faith, and writing. I enjoy yard work and going for walks. Pleasant moments include reading by the sea late in the afternoon. I enjoy gathering with groups and traveling to places like the Divine Mercy Center. You could also find me enjoying an occasional journey back to Boston, where I loved living for ten years or New York which is like no other place I've ever been. Did I say I like writing?? I did self publish a book of poetry. Participating in pro life work has been extensive in my life but these days, I tend to provide prayer support and behind the scenes support. Yes, watching and cheering for Boston sports teams is something I enjoy very much. I love the Traditional Latin Mass and find reverently praying the Mass reveals refreshing spiritual gems reverberating inside nearly every Sunday. I find, in following the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church, great solace in this day and age when our culture is aimlessly following the precepts of our fallen nature. Please respect this request. If you are divorced and your marriage has not been annulled, I hope, in charity, you will seek your annulment. We cannot seek a relationship if you do not have an annulment. God bless you and guide you and thank you for your interest in me.

I came from a close knit family. I am a fraternal twin and we are the youngest. I have 2 older brothers as well. All of them are married. I have 3 nephews and one niece. I am most passionate about my faith. I strive to live this out in my life constantly cause in the end that is all that matters. I look forward to hopefully meeting someone that I can share my life with in hopes of reaching this goal. I feel that I have much to learn from my future spouse to be and hope that she can learn from me too. I would like a curious, hysterical, and yet simple life. There have been many influences in my life starting with first and foremost my parents. Also, my brothers have played a significant role in my life. Priests have also played a significant influence in my life. Plus my friends as well. I love to listen to music and read as well. I also like to hang with friends for drinks and dinner. I also love to travel and take trips. I love retreats, doing stuff outdoors as well as just hanging low. I love to cook(I try), and actually bake.

Hello, my name is Denny and I'm hoping to use this site to meet other faithful Catholics. I'm 24 years old and I'm returning to school for a few semesters to study Medical Laboratory Science. I'm passionate about science because I believe the world, in all its strange beauty, is an amazing demonstration of the glory of God. I love long conversations about theology and philosophy, history, politics, and science. I also like jogging and playing board games such as chess. If you like interesting conversation, The Latin Mass, and chess, you should hit me up.
