I am a hardworking and ambitious person with a strong desire to achieve my goals in life. I believe in seizing all opportunities. I enjoy working out, singing in my church choir, and spending time with my family and friends. Also, I possess a good sense of humor, and I like to dance. My faith is my foundation, and I pray that God will continue to guide me on my journey.

I was born and raised in Queens New York, and went to school in upstate New York before moving down to the DC metro area. I'm pretty close with my family (Mom, Dad, two sisters and relatives) who still live in New York. I am not a super religious person, but I do live by Christian virtues everyday. Hmm, about me.... I am an upbeat person, who loves to have a good time, learn new things and explore. I enjoy hanging out with friends, meeting people, going to various events in the city, watching movies, traveling, playing sports, working out, running, cycling and sitting at home listening to music (sometimes I can be a homebody). I'm currently learning classical guitar and I am heavy into photography. Things I would like to do in the near future: Find organizations around town to volunteer with, freshen up my language skills in French and Spanish... People tend to view me as: Easy going, nice, fun to be around, a loyal friend, honest, sweet, and funny...

Hello! I pray that you've had a blessed day so far. First, I have to say I'm not from the African continent (too many people have assumed this), but I have traveled to about 16 African countries in the last decade. I don't live the life of a rock-star or famous athlete; but I'm sure there are many who wish they had the laid-back and relaxed life I live. Occasionally, I get to rub shoulders with them, but that's because of work. I really dig my family, and am sad they don't live closer; I love playing/watching/talking about futbol (I'm suffering from World Cup withdrawals already), tennis, and rugby. I was born and raised in the South, and learned a lot from my wise Grandma (she gave this Earth 95 years before the Lord brought her home)...I am blessed to have spent 36 years knowing her and learning from her. I think my friends would say I'm pretty even keeled; I think most people say Type As or Apha Dogs, but I think those guys burn out fast, whereas a guy like me still burns. If you completely dig the late-bars and clubs then, perhaps Mr. Alpha is your best bet, because that's not really my scene -- but I do love to shake my booty on the dance floor! I'm now looking for a genuine relationship, but I'm not looking to jump into anything without getting to know someone first. Friends first, OK? I appreciate you taking the time out of your active life to read this message. And I hope to hear back from you :-) Cheers, R.

I am passionate about reading. I look forward to being surrounded by people with high integrity. I have been influenced by ordinary people who value excellent work, regardless of what they do. In leisure time, when I don't read, I will run or have a constructive discussion.

I was born and raised in Haiti, moved to Atlanta in 1999, few years later served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa, in 2013 moved to DC and work for the Government. I am looking for a good friend, a traveler, someone who knows how life looks like overseas specifically in the rural area.
