I am a cradle Catholic who has come a long way in my Faith. I am now a Traditional Catholic, meaning I attend exclusively the Traditional Latin Mass. I love the Catholic Faith and love learning more about its rich history, traditions, the great men and women it has produced. I am the oldest of nine so I have a deep love of family and especially children. I have changed allot of diapers in my time. I am bright, a good onversationalist, fun to be with, involved with a variety of activities. I am moving to the countryside to live a life closer to the land, grow most of my own food, live close to and work, pray and be neighborly with fellow Catholics.

I like being of help to people who are less fortunate. I believe that we are all here for the purpose of doing God's will with the talents that God has given each of us. I believe that family is very important even though I don't have any close family members who are alive. Faith guides my life although it can be very difficult sometimes.

I am an urbane, active, athletic man. I'm an avid reader and writer (have had a novel published). I enjoy good conversation. My early career was in newspaper work where I was an editor and reporter in three states and DC. I later became a public relations executive. My main recreation is golf and I usually plan travel around that sport. As a University of Notre Dame graduate, I enjoy college football and am partial to that school.

Well, hello there. My name is Rick, and I'm new to our Church, having come into it just this past Easter. It was one of the very best things I ever did - after attending Mass regularly for many years without becoming "official." I have been in DC for almost 30 years - yikes - and for most of that time I have been a lobbyist in the energy and nuclear power fields. Originally from New England, I grew up in Connecticut and Maine, and went to college in Massachusetts. Later in life, with too much weekend time on my hands, I trained as an actor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. It was mostly just a hobby. I have been single for a long time (itself a long story), and spend a lot of time with my 23-hr-old son. He lobbies me a lot to have someone in my life, perhaps because I crimp his style and social schedule.

The most thing is trust, understanding and being able to meet 1/2 way in every thing done between two people. My father and brothers along with church. I love fishing going different places interacting with good people with no drama at all peace loving folks.

I'm a New England native who's been in DC for over 20 years. I'm smitten with DC, love the longer Spring and Fall, even more so the shorter winters that I've left behind in Ct. The energy, multicultural events, the simple farmers' and flea markets that I make a point to stop at most weekends make up my weekends. I enjoy the theater, most particularly the ballet. I'm truly a coastal guy, grew up in Southeastern Ct. Having said that, I'm not adverse to a last minute "sneak away" to the beach for a weekend. I'm also a workout guy, eat well and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I'm an extrovert, an animated conversationalist, yet articulate, easily moved to laughter, but have been described as cerebral.............masculine, a manly man, and many times I've been told I'm a kind and noble man........... ....but truly the "proof is in the pudding" so to speak....best to have 15 min of face time over coffee, and know if an attraction exists...........don't you think?

I am at a very happy stage of my life, enjoying family time, world travel, volunteer work, and some long neglected hobbies. After a long career in the corporate world, I now have my own consulting business, which gives me great flexibility. I am a bit quiet by nature, but friends say that I have a good sense of humor and a quick wit. My faith is important to me, and I'm most grateful for my Catholic education and the life lessons that I learned from my faith.
