Well, about me: I am an avid learner and thinker. At least I think I am. There, I just did it, see? Anyway, I have a great love and appreciation of God and man. Every day, I try to learn more and more about them, in order to understand both better through the intersection of the two, Jesus Christ. We're one big family, after all. As hard as I try, I will not be able to experience all of what humanity already has done countless times over- but if I can learn as much as I can about what others have done, and what God has done, I will come closer to understanding both just a little bit better, and perhaps come closer to grasping the full meaning of life. More about me: I'd like to say that life is too short for fiction, yet every once in a while I write three pages of a book that go nowhere. I have had the good fortune to be well-traveled, but I always look forward to more. I am not a science fiction fan, but like to watch every movie about time travel I can find, even the terrible ones. I like the symphony but not the ballet. I like some opera but never the circus. I like Goya but not El Greco, whose paintings look like velvet Elvises. I don't follow sports generally, but I like the Olympics, World Cup, and any other tournament where nations compete. I like to classify things in my head, but am disorganized in my habits. I tend to be categorical, but my actual opinions are more nuanced than can be set forth in this short little piece. All of these things I said I don't like I would probably do with you, for instance. I'd do almost anything with you. Except the circus. I love languages, linguistics, words, and word origins. I love music most of all. It seems to come from outside of us, but it resonates within us. Very strange. Yet I dont love all music, or even all kinds of music. Hip hop is like nails on a chalkboard. Yes; yes it is. I'm looking to share all of these things, and I believe there is someone out there with whom I can share these things- a co-pilot, a navigator, with whom to journey through this peculiar gift of life we've been given. And maybe, just maybe, that someone is you!

Me: I am a mix of character. I am well-traveled and educated. I'm also easy-going and tolerant. While I may, from time to time, enjoy relaxing and watching a movie, I'm not the type of person who likes to be a couch potato on weekends and holidays. I enjoy going out and living life to its fullest...after all, we are only here for a short time. I am perfectly happy "doing" just about anything.

I am a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. In the army, I work as an all-source intelligence analyst although I have been trained in small unit tactics for combat. I graduated from George Mason University with a BA in history in 2010. The Catholic Campus Ministry was a big part of my life in college. Then I spent six months in Strasbourg studying French, while training in Germany. One of my favorite periods is Medieval Europe. I'm thinking about getting a masters in history or accounting since that's where the money is. I'm the oldest of five children, with a brother and three sisters. This makes me protective and it probably explains why I enjoy little kids. I'm close to my family. In fact, I live with them in Dupont Circle where my family owns two art galleries. By living at home, I can help with the gallery, be a good influence on the kids still in high school. I try to attend Mass daily. Most recently I'm attending the 9:30 pm Mass at Georgetown, which is a wonderful chapel. Although, nothing can match the beauty of my parish church, St Matthews Cathedral except for a couple of churches in France. I read a lot.

Hello. My name is Alexander. I am currently a graduate student of statistics at American University, having recently graduated from AU studying mathematics, economics, and statistics. For the most part I like to take things in my life slow. Rushing is needlessly stressful, and to be honest is something hurriedly done worth doing. My faith is very important to me, and I am grateful to the Lord and His Holy Church for imparting light, grace, happiness, and hope. Accordingly, I realize that virtue is a very important goal for all men and women to attain. I try to live virtuously, and prefer the company of those who help me be virtuous. My hope is to help others live virtuously as well. Outside of my faith, I love video games. I am a big Nintendo fan. I wouldn't call myself an expert gamer, but instead a specialist. I generally have a few games that I like but I really like to delve into them. My favorites include Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Castlevania. I also like to learn about the general industry; studying sales numbers, learning about the culture, and perusing news about the industry. Further, I also like to read. I don't particularly have a preference in books.

Hello! I'm an convert from Anglicanism and LOVE being a Catholic! A friend once asked what drew me to the Church; was it theology, beauty or guidance from God? For me, all three were profoundly influential. I'm a part of the new Anglican Ordinariate established by Pope Benedict XVI. His devotion to keeping the liturgy solemn and beautiful have also had a great impact upon my faith journey. I converted in 2011 before my senior year of college. I have the privilege to say that during the period when most young adults lose their faith, I was able to find mine. I spend my free time reading theology or lives of the saints, and I particularly love works by Pope Benedict and Ven. Fulton Sheen. I am cheerful and devout (they aren't inimical to each other!), and enjoy listening to music, watching sports and visiting museums. Thank you for visiting my page, and God Bless you!

Hello! I'm a young Catholic who has just moved to the DC area after spending my entire life in North Dakota. I haven't had much time to socialize, as school and work take up most of my time, but I'm hoping to meet someone who can show me the ropes of big city life! I'm a pretty quiet guy overall, but I also love to joke around! I love the outdoors, but I am also just as happy watching documentaries about the outdoors on Netflix. Hiking is my thing, so if you're a hiker, I am in desperate need of a hiking buddy! Given that we're on CatholicMatch, I think it goes without saying that my faith is very important to me. I was only received into the Church this past Easter, but that reception was the culmination of a very long spiritual journey that took me from Pentecostalism and through Atheism before I finally came home! I never miss Sunday mass, and I try to make it to daily mass at least once or twice a week. I also never leave the house without my rosary! For some educational background, I just received my BA in Theology, and am now working on my MA, with hopes of continuing on for my PhD. I also work in IT as a Systems Administrator (managing servers, databases, and other back-of-the-house stuff that most people never see), which has been my job for the past five years. My MA is what brings me to DC, and I'm super excited to not only take this major step in my academic life, but also to be migrating to the big city! I've never lived in a major city for more than a month or two before, so it's both terrifying and exhilarating!
