I really enjoy meeting and talking to new people no matter where are you are from. I would really love to meet a special woman to be my wife someday. If you just want to be friends as having the same interests or are looking for something more, either way feel free to message me. I graduated college from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a bachelor's degree in Criminology, and a minor in Psychology. I am from the Pittsburgh area . I am a big fan of sports. I watch a lot of baseball and football games, and enjoy watching movies. I also like to lift weights and travel. I was very active in my church group on campus. I was a Eucharistic Minister, Bible Study leader, Altar Server, and Catholic Student Association Vice President. I went to World Youth Day to see Pope John Paul II, and on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje. It was amazing and I really enjoyed the experience there. Since then, I have been praying the Rosary a lot more. I also went on the Christian Appalachian Project (CAP), where I built houses for families in poverty, during my spring breaks at college, because I enjoy helping others and working with people. I also just went on a trip to Rome for Holy Week and I really enjoyed it. I got to see every Pope in my life, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis I. I also previously went on a trip to Lourdes/Fatima. I am very thankful I have had the opportunity to travel as much as I have, and see the various apparition sites I visited. I also have friends in Harrisburg, and Philadelphia I visit quite often, so I am willing to travel to those areas for meeting people.

*I recently changed my 'considering a religious vocation' answer to 'No.' I did this, not because anything changed on my part, but because I believe I was misinterpreting the meaning of the question. I am not at all actively seeking or considering a vocation, but am instead merely 'open' to it in the very minimal sense that any single Catholic man ought to be open to it. To be clear, I feel very strongly that I am called to marriage, not to the priesthood. I enjoy reading, reflecting, and working out. I'm half nerd, half meathead: I am getting close to bench pressing 400 lbs. (No, I do not use steroids!) I have a somewhat reserved demeanor, but around friends and family I tend to open up more. Assertive. Extremely competitive. I value my convictions, and I love my family. I played multiple sports growing up, and now I've gotten seriously into powerlifting and bodybuilding. Going to start competing in powerlifting next year. It's fun!

(Update: I recently had eye surgery similar to LASIK, so no glasses anymore) I have lived in the D.C. area more than 3 years now, but I'm still excited about exploring new places the city. While I've traveled lots of places, this is the first time I'm living outside the state of Texas. So far, I think I'm making a smooth transition to "East Coast" living. One of my friends once discribed me as someone constantly in pursuit of "wackiness for wackiness sake". I think nearly everyone I know would say this is pretty accurate. I tend to surround myself with people who have a good sense of humor, whether that humor's silly, witty, or just sarcastic. I was a Radio/TV-Film major in college, so I like television shows and movies. I also cultural events, museums, and usually anything involving our Catholic faith.

Hi there. I'm a so-called "boomerang" DC resident as I left town for three years of law school, but recently returned to the area and thought Catholic Match would be a good way to meet some new people. Born and raised just outside Boston and one of six kids, I'm a big fan of camping, board games, politics, travel, history, and everything Boston sports (go Pats!). After undergrad, I worked in DC for four years- two as a first grade teacher (through Teach for America) and two at a legal think tank. And this past Fall, I returned to DC and to start work at a law firm. A cradle Catholic, I've gone through a bit of a conversion over the past few years, deepening my Catholic faith and taking its tenets (and blessings) seriously. I've been fortunate enough to work in Rome for several months and to take a pilgrimage to the Holy Land itself. I believe that a shared faith is essential in a relationship, and I hope to share my faith with any future girlfriends and with my eventual spouse.

I have recently graduated from college and currently, I am planning on applying for graduate programs near DC and abroad. Despite the fact that I might seem a bit reserved, I have often been described as adventurous, always searching for new places and new things to try.

I'm an Australian who has recently moved to Washington D.C. I enjoy hanging out with friends and love my work in international development. I'm looking for what I suspect most people are looking for. I want to meet a woman who makes me laugh and a person who I look forward to seeing no matter what mood I'm in, because I know that within five minutes of being in their company I'll be feeling completely different. It's important to me that they are kind and generous and that they care about their friends and family. These are basic things, I know, but sometimes hard to find all in one person.

I love philosophy, the fine arts(especially literature, poetry, good film, symphony concerts, museums), nature, healthful living, Catholicism. I spend spare time reading, conversing with friends, exercising, appreciating nature. I try regularly to read The New Yorker and The NYRB. I am pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at CUA. My faith is at the center of my life, and my fundamental formative years in the faith occurred in St. John Fisher seminary in Stamford, CT.

I'm a theology teacher in DC, so I love my faith, great conversations, and reading! My favorite days are spent traveling, laughing, and talking with friends and cooking for them. I can be passionate and opinionated, but am a softy at heart. I'm pretty sarcastic though secretly a romantic.

Hello! I'm a young Catholic who has just moved to the DC area after spending my entire life in North Dakota. I haven't had much time to socialize, as school and work take up most of my time, but I'm hoping to meet someone who can show me the ropes of big city life! I'm a pretty quiet guy overall, but I also love to joke around! I love the outdoors, but I am also just as happy watching documentaries about the outdoors on Netflix. Hiking is my thing, so if you're a hiker, I am in desperate need of a hiking buddy! Given that we're on CatholicMatch, I think it goes without saying that my faith is very important to me. I was only received into the Church this past Easter, but that reception was the culmination of a very long spiritual journey that took me from Pentecostalism and through Atheism before I finally came home! I never miss Sunday mass, and I try to make it to daily mass at least once or twice a week. I also never leave the house without my rosary! For some educational background, I just received my BA in Theology, and am now working on my MA, with hopes of continuing on for my PhD. I also work in IT as a Systems Administrator (managing servers, databases, and other back-of-the-house stuff that most people never see), which has been my job for the past five years. My MA is what brings me to DC, and I'm super excited to not only take this major step in my academic life, but also to be migrating to the big city! I've never lived in a major city for more than a month or two before, so it's both terrifying and exhilarating!
