I am generally seen as laid back, intellectual, honest, patient, and cheerful -- if sometimes a bit shy at first. In pursuing my interests (law, history, government/public service, & music) I'm pretty driven, but most see me as easygoing. Like most people, I have an extroverted side and an introverted side. I love public speaking, as well as meeting new people in any setting, but also have spent a bit of time at the solitary pursuits of writing (historical & legal topics) and music composition. Once you get to know me, I have a relentlessly dry and often sarcastic or silly sense of humor and prefer spending time with people who can laugh. Although I have a secular calling, my faith is an essential part of my life. I have grown up Catholic and a weekly churchgoer and think it important to practice what's taught on Sunday all week.

Well, about me: I am an avid learner and thinker. At least I think I am. There, I just did it, see? Anyway, I have a great love and appreciation of God and man. Every day, I try to learn more and more about them, in order to understand both better through the intersection of the two, Jesus Christ. We're one big family, after all. As hard as I try, I will not be able to experience all of what humanity already has done countless times over- but if I can learn as much as I can about what others have done, and what God has done, I will come closer to understanding both just a little bit better, and perhaps come closer to grasping the full meaning of life. More about me: I'd like to say that life is too short for fiction, yet every once in a while I write three pages of a book that go nowhere. I have had the good fortune to be well-traveled, but I always look forward to more. I am not a science fiction fan, but like to watch every movie about time travel I can find, even the terrible ones. I like the symphony but not the ballet. I like some opera but never the circus. I like Goya but not El Greco, whose paintings look like velvet Elvises. I don't follow sports generally, but I like the Olympics, World Cup, and any other tournament where nations compete. I like to classify things in my head, but am disorganized in my habits. I tend to be categorical, but my actual opinions are more nuanced than can be set forth in this short little piece. All of these things I said I don't like I would probably do with you, for instance. I'd do almost anything with you. Except the circus. I love languages, linguistics, words, and word origins. I love music most of all. It seems to come from outside of us, but it resonates within us. Very strange. Yet I dont love all music, or even all kinds of music. Hip hop is like nails on a chalkboard. Yes; yes it is. I'm looking to share all of these things, and I believe there is someone out there with whom I can share these things- a co-pilot, a navigator, with whom to journey through this peculiar gift of life we've been given. And maybe, just maybe, that someone is you!

I'm a native New Englander but grew up here in Oklahoma. I work in Crisis Management and absolutely love what I get to do every day! I'm also a professional opera singer in addition to singing for multiple churches and community choruses! I love volunteering and am passionate about helping the next guy out. I would love to share my faith with someone who loves not just Christ, but helping others.

(Update: I recently had eye surgery similar to LASIK, so no glasses anymore) I have lived in the D.C. area more than 3 years now, but I'm still excited about exploring new places the city. While I've traveled lots of places, this is the first time I'm living outside the state of Texas. So far, I think I'm making a smooth transition to "East Coast" living. One of my friends once discribed me as someone constantly in pursuit of "wackiness for wackiness sake". I think nearly everyone I know would say this is pretty accurate. I tend to surround myself with people who have a good sense of humor, whether that humor's silly, witty, or just sarcastic. I was a Radio/TV-Film major in college, so I like television shows and movies. I also cultural events, museums, and usually anything involving our Catholic faith.

Hi there. I'm a so-called "boomerang" DC resident as I left town for three years of law school, but recently returned to the area and thought Catholic Match would be a good way to meet some new people. Born and raised just outside Boston and one of six kids, I'm a big fan of camping, board games, politics, travel, history, and everything Boston sports (go Pats!). After undergrad, I worked in DC for four years- two as a first grade teacher (through Teach for America) and two at a legal think tank. And this past Fall, I returned to DC and to start work at a law firm. A cradle Catholic, I've gone through a bit of a conversion over the past few years, deepening my Catholic faith and taking its tenets (and blessings) seriously. I've been fortunate enough to work in Rome for several months and to take a pilgrimage to the Holy Land itself. I believe that a shared faith is essential in a relationship, and I hope to share my faith with any future girlfriends and with my eventual spouse.

I'm an Australian who has recently moved to Washington D.C. I enjoy hanging out with friends and love my work in international development. I'm looking for what I suspect most people are looking for. I want to meet a woman who makes me laugh and a person who I look forward to seeing no matter what mood I'm in, because I know that within five minutes of being in their company I'll be feeling completely different. It's important to me that they are kind and generous and that they care about their friends and family. These are basic things, I know, but sometimes hard to find all in one person.

I was born in Italy, moved to the US six years ago. I lived in Boston, California, and recently moved to Washington DC. I enjoy walking or biking around the city, exploring all the free museums or just spending time outdoor. I am passionate about new technologies, science, theatre, food, traveling, airplanes, music.. I am extremely curious and interested in anything new to me. I like chilling out with friends, watching my favorite tv series, reading.

I had an awesome upbringing as one of seven in an Italian catholic household. We were raised to respect others, work hard, take responsibility and enjoy life! As a kid, I though it was cool to have a small glass of wine at the dinner table. Today, I still enjoy a nice glass of wine with good food and great company. It's not easy getting to know someone through an online profile, but it's a start. I'm straight-forward, down-to-earth, and if I say I'll be somewhere, I'll be there. If I say I'll do something, I'll do it. It's just who I am... I recently moved to DC and stay pretty busy with work and everyday life. Fitness has always been part of my life, so oddly enough I don't mind going to the gym, go figure? But If the weather is nice you might find me bicycling, golfing, or just going for a walk. I've traveled to many awesome places and love to visit new cities, whether it's a last minute getaway or a planned trip. At times I can be a bit silly, but love to laugh and smile - even if it's at myself occasionally. I'm interested in meeting others with similar qualities; genuine and extremely nice. Life is what you make it - so make it great!

Cradle Catholic. Looking for someone who can answer the questions I have about the faith. Every success I've ever had at my job or with the lady-folk has come from my ability to slowly and painfully wear someone down.

Hello catholic women. I feel blessed to have a loving family and nice life that is pretty normal. I enjoy my line of work and am still learning new things. I keep in touch with childhood friends and I also have many new friends. I am not big into nightlife but I do enjoy going out to dinner often. I play music less than I would like to but it is a priority to me. I also like shopping and watching NBA. I am looking forward to meeting women that share my catholic faith.
