I am currently a 4th year student at the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. I love the career I've chosen and can't wait to graduate and start practicing. Only 1 month to go! After graduation I will be completing a residency at the VA in Wilmington, DE. My family, especially my brother, have been very influential in the formation of my faith and without them it would not be as strong as it is today. I love college football and have been a die-hard Florida Gators fan since I can remember. As far as playing sports, basketball is my passion. I've been playing since the 4th grade and try to play whenever I can when. I'm also a history buff and love reading about the history of the Church and military history. I could spend all day watching the History Channel if you let me. The rest of my free time is split up between hanging out with friends or studying, unfortunately (almost done though, only two tests left!). Whenever we have a break from school I always come home and spend time with friends and family. Family is very important to me and I hope one day to have a family of my own. My friends say I have my own brand of humor (and that I am a goofball) and once you get to know me you'll understand why.

Above all, a devotion to confession and the magisterium of the Holy Church..
  • Adam, 25 from Niceville, FL

I recently got out of the Army and returned home. I was too busy for college during my enlistment, so I'm a bit behind the power curve. I consider it a good trade off, however. I got to see the world and experience cultures that most people only dream of. I'll finish college in my late 20s for that.

  • Jacques, 23 from Ghent, BE
    23, Ghent, BE
I was born in the city of Ghent and was baptized into the Holy Catholic Church. My upbringing was secular and I was an atheist. When I went to university a moral crisis occurred and I gradually became aware for the need of faith in my life. I searched the Truth for a long time until I finally arrived back into the Apostolic Church in which I was baptized. I'm currently a student who has already a degree in history and will next year get a theology degree. I speak Dutch, English and French and a bit of german ( though only the very basics ). I'm a conservative/traditionalist in the Catholic church. It's a real pity that those labels should be used within Holy Mother Church. I'm socially, culturally and politically minded. I like to read and write about the 'heavy' subjects in life (but I enjoy the classic fiction as well). The true, the good and the beautiful are my fields of interest. I like to go to the fitness. I try and enjoy on working and improving my character. Hopefully there are some interesting Catholics here that I can get to know. I'm here to find new traditional catholic friends. Hopefully in the process I can find someone who want to share an authentic Catholic life of faith with me.

  • Kyle, 20 from Orlando, FL
    20, Orlando, FL
I'm a recent convert to the Roman Church from my previous (Reformed) Presbyterian church of 13 years. I'm still attending RCIA until Easter 2017 but still consider myself a practicing Catholic, I understand nearly all the basic doctrine since my father was raised as a Catholic (his parents are staunch Catholics). I grew up learning about the Church from a secular historical perspective I became fascinated with the Catholic faith as well as from my paternal grandmother who was overjoyed when she'd heard I was attending RCIA. l chose to convert after being kicked out of my former church by the pastor and elders for misinterpreting the doctrines of the Reformed faith. So after that, I prayed for guidance and God led me to where I am now growing deeper in faith. I struggle daily to explain my choice to my parents who claim I'm destined for Hell for turning my back on God by choosing Vatican propaganda and heresy. However, since I started my conversion journey I've felt closer to God than ever before. Some facts about me: I've been told I'm quite the romantic (on account of my heritage) I've never had a REAL relationship(I've been in several "fake" relationships most of which were a day long) [side note: I would impulsively lay out my charm faster than most girls could keep up with and it always ended badly (e.g. they'd fall in love with me before I could commit to anything serious). I'm still a virgin, and as far as sex is concerned I'm straight beyond any shadow of a doubt. I'm heavily into volunteering at homeless shelters, military veterans benefits, etc
  • Thomas, 35 from Fort Lauderdale, FL
    35, Fort Lauderdale, FL
I consider myself to be a simple man who knows exactly what he wants out of a relationship. I have learned through several failed dates that the common denominator has always been compatibility with my faith. I've decided to give Catholic Match a chance because my faith is something I simply cannot compromise. I strongly believe that if a woman shares the same commitment to their faith as me then the rest will fall into place. I find it rather odd that In today's society people have made it an unwritten rule that you should never talk about three things in public: religion, politics and money. On the contrary I believe these are precisely the three things that need to be discussed and shared more indepth to bring this world back to what matters most. And that is a relationship with God.
  • Jeremy, 39 from Port St. Lucie, FL
    39, Port St. Lucie, FL
Right now the most important person in my life is my son. Unfortunately I don't see him as often as I would like. Because I am an over the road commercial truck driver, I don't have a lot of quality time to spend with the little guy. I've logged almost 2 million driving miles traveling across the U.S and Canada. I like to go to movies, sporting events (NASCAR),comedy clubs, the beach, fishing, gun range, I'm not a big drinker but enjoy am evening at the sports bar with my friends. I have a very supportive extended family (Mom, Step-dad, 2 brothers and 1 sister). Although I don't see them regularly we have a good time with each other - lots of teasing and story telling.
