36, Jacksonville, FLI'm a closet introvert with a wry sense of humor and goofy grin (genetics, can't help it). I enjoy an active lifestyle to include running (just finished my first marathon), kayaking, and jiu-jitsu. Jesus Cristo is numero uno in my life and I have a slobbermonster dog.
40, Jacksonville Beach, FLHi, I am a life-long Catholic who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, then went to school and started my career in the Midwest. I recently moved to Florida. My interests include travelling, staying active, exercising, anything outdoors, reading, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family. I am employed as an Information Technology professional in the Financial Services industry.
60, Jacksonville, FLI'm looking for someone to spend time with and do things together. I like to camp, swim, have drinks by a fire pit in the backyard, go for walks or find a fun place to explore. Spend time with my daughters and grandson.
30, Jacksonville, FLHi I'm Dan! I've been in Jacksonville for a year, but I'm originally from Massachusetts. I went to school and lived for a few years in New Hampshire. I earned a BA in Theology from a small Catholic college, and then enlisted in the Navy. In 2014 I was commissioned and went to flight school. I've been in Florida since then, first in Pensacola and now here. I'm looking for someone who is up for adventures and ready to explore, but who also doesn't mind just relaxing some evenings after work. I'm at the point in my life where I'm ready to find a nice girl to settle down with and I would like to start a family in the next few years or so! I have my personal, professional, and financial life in order and I am really looking for someone to share life with!
57, Alachua, FLI am a geek. I like learning about lots of different things. I like watching documentaries just to see if there is something there that I did not know. I like dealing with technology and learning new things that way. I like working crossword puzzles (especially the NY Times Sunday Crossword). I am always learning things that way, and it is a good way to keep the mind sharp. I like reading real books, the kind you check out of the library and sit anywhere and just flip pages and read. I like the feel of something permanent in my hands. I like the outdoors a lot. It helps me to connect with God and to get away from it all. Once, we went on vacation and rented a cabin in the mountains that had no electricity or running water. Water was obtained from a hand pump outside. It had a gas powered refrigerator and a wood stove. It was cool to just chill out with no cell phone, computers, or TV. I think I read 3 books that week. I like to volunteer when I can. I am a scout leader for my kids, and I mentor the robotics team at the high school. I especially like working with kids and teaching them. I love to cook. I like eating meals from different places then trying to make them at home. I will usually take a dish and come up with my own recipe based on what I think is in it. Most of this experimentation works out well. I once experimented on making homemade granola. I was experimenting with it for several months, at first, not quite getting it the way I like it. Then I tried adding Brown Rice Syrup and it worked. It came out just the way I like it. Now I am making it for breakfast and snacks for me all the time. Recently I replaced the syrup with honey, and it is just as good. I am an introvert. I do not like large crowds, especially if I do not know anyone there. I like small intimate gatherings with people I know. I am not against meeting new people, I just prefer doing it in a casual quiet setting. I am 6 feet tall and love to laugh. I have a slightly warped sense of humor. I am a widower. My wife died suddenly over 6 years ago. We were together for about 13 years.
52, Fort White, FLI am American by birth and Irish by the Grace of God. I would only agree to the U.S. building a wall as long as there was a written guarantee that Donald Trump would stay on the other side. I love Ireland. I have a farm and love animals. I have outside farm cats (all with names), dogs and cows. I also have bees but they have not made a solid commitment to stay. I am awful with plants. I love the Gators. I love to read...mysteries, and really great books like The Giver.I am a media specialist at a public school in a rural area. I live about 30 miles from the University of Florida in northern Florida. It is more like Southern Georgia. It isn't what you think of when you think of Florida. There are springs and rivers instead of beaches and lots of Live Oaks. As for politics I am an Irish Democrat who believes that America has always been able to do great things when it has lived up to the promise of the poem on the Statue of Liberty. We were able to rebuild Europe and Japan. We were able to defeat the blockade of Berlin with the Berlin Airlift. Now, it seems our government can only accomplish things if corporations can profit from it. I love Bernie Sanders because he broke the mold and was able to inspire young people.
26, Jacksonville, FLHello! My name is Paul and I am a cradle Catholic from Jacksonville, FL. I'm a geek both for things sci-fi and things Catholic. Coincidentally, "A Canticle for Leibowitz" is one of my favorite books, since it incorporates them both! In my free time, I like watching TV shows and movies, and playing video games. Board game nights with friends are always fun! I enjoy hiking in the outdoors, when the Florida heat isn't unbearable! And working downtown has opened me up to heading to many events held there, like Art Walks, Food Truck Wars, and Farmers' Markets. I've become a bit of a foodie, and am always looking for cool spots to eat the best local food. Switching gears, the faith is very important to me. I had the good fortune of attending a Catholic high school after having attended public school in my elementary and middle school years. There, in my philosophy class, I encountered the Catholic faith in a manner much deeper than any time before. For the first time, I was cognizant of the true intellectual depth of Catholicism. I encountered Augustine and Aquinas, and together they led me deeper into the faith. I constantly seek to deepen my intellectual understanding of the faith, as well as growing my personal relationship with Christ through prayer and the Sacraments. I attend Mass every week, and go to confession monthly.
60, Gainesville, FLHi! And thank you for reading this! I don't want this to read like a LinkedIn resume. What you should know, is that I'm a sensitive guy who is seeking one last shot at happiness by finding a very wonderful gal who can tolerate all my imperfections - there are many! But, in my defense, I can say that I'm spiritual. I've seen the Lord at work in many incredible ways. I am an "unabashed striver" - I am the type of guy that just has to work hard at everything. I'm sensitive; and a good listener. I am not a chauvinist. I grew up in a household of two loving and very talented parents; and I saw how a partnership worked. I'm a giver and not a taker. I've outgrown my "Yuppie" stage; so time, not material things, means more to me now. I am romantic; and a dreamer. I'm passionate about injustice. I'm conservative and a bit of a traditionalist. I like to have fun - good old fashioned, age appropriate fun. As long as my insurance agent won't cringe, I'll try most things. But, I do like sailing, boating, travel, reading, railroading, antiques, architecture and a good restaurant. To be honest, sports, NASCAR, rough camping and ocean-going fishing, are not my best suit. I bike, walk and golf. I enjoy a glass of wine or an occasional beer. I'm not tattooed, I've never done drugs; and I'm not in need of a mommy; or a female ATM. I'm driven, and good at my work. I can easily relocate for the right person. My son is in his thirties; and I have four grandchildren who I adore. The worst part is they live up in Atlanta. My folks were a great influence on my life, Unfortunately, my father passed away in 1992; and my mother and little sister passed away in 2003. (That's why I put "Other" in the family ties section - I'm basically an orphan) We were a very close knit, Irish Catholic family. We didn't take faith all that seriously; but we felt it deep in our souls. My mom and dad put on some good shouting matches in the early stage of their marriage; but they had a love affair that lasted 42 years!

Water skiing is my passion, as is in my picture. been doing it since I was young. I enjoy any outdoor activities, I am not somebody that enjoys being home bound. When the day is done, I would love to reflect on what "WE" did today, to make a difference. It could be, " We enjoyed ourselves today, praise God".
