Why am I here? Because i want to find that very special soul mate to share the rest of my life's journey with. And given my Faith is a critical part of that journey, I decided to give this a try. Who am I? I am a career professional who takes the enjoyment of life as serious as my job. I keep my friends for life, as it should be and my friends range in age from the 20's to the 80's. I love animals as much as I do people and sometimes more. I am a loving, caring, and compassionate individual. I am very honest and I expect the same from those I interact with. My favorite outfit is a pair of shorts, a loose shirt, and sandals. I dress up for work so the rest of my time I dress down to my comfort. I like to wear hats, it is a cultural nuance. I hug and kiss my friends, the same nuance. :) I also practice my faith. I go to mass every Sunday, I am a Lector and a Eucharistic minister. I love kids and since I was not blessed with any, I sponsor two girls in Costa Rica and I go visit with them frequently (see my profile pictures). For fun? I enjoy living life to the fullest. I love to laugh and make others laugh with me. Life can be a drag if you take it too seriously. I love to travel, the outdoors, playing music (percussionist), dancing (I can dance just about any beat), biking, snow skiing, racquetball, gardening, boating, fishing, golf, scuba, lending a hand, darts, table pool, handyman (there is very little I cannot fix), building stuff, cooking, etc... If it is physically active, I probably love it. I enjoy a very wide range of music including Jazz, Latin, Reggae, Soca, Blues, Cajun, Rock, Contemporary, Dixieland, Bluegrass, Americana, and African rhythms. A friend once wrote; "treat me like my dog treats me." I could not agree more. If we get together and there is no chemistry, the worse that could happen is that we become friends and... Friends are for Life! Enjoy your search and may you find what you are seeking. Please be courteous and respond if I write to you. If you are not interested, a courteous reply saying so is better than no reply at all. Thanks!

My passions include writing, reading, biking, conversation. Ohh, and coffee. My experience in the 82nd Airborne division certainly trained me for life. I've been fortunate to run the Boston Marathon with my two brothers. Retired now, loving Florida life. Writing second novel.

I am really into my faith and I love God and all of the things he has done for me, my family, and my friends. I am an EMHC at my church at home in PA as well as in the Diocese of Orlando! I absolutely love serving! I also love to laugh, I'm always happy, full of energy, and love the weather and all things space, but I always love a deep spiritual conversation as well! I have been in Florida since 2009, originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania! I am an ENFJ on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test. I just finished my last semester in school (dual major in Mechanical Engineering & Meteorology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University) in May 2016 and I had a co-op at NASA Kennedy Space Center from 2013-2015! I have a passion for weather, anything space, and having fun! I've always enjoyed watching the weather as a young kid (and still do). Below I say that I am considering religious vocations, but I just want to clarify that I have discerned that I am going to become a Deacon later on in life after I am married and have a family. I feel as God is calling me to that life. :) I am currently working with my father at his business in Northeast Pennsylvania, but I will be moving back to Florida at the end of April. :) With that said, I am currently in the process of possibly getting a position with the TSA in Orlando, but waiting patiently to see if/when that position is God's Will and Plan for me.

I'm honest, loyal and caring. I treasure a great relationship and I'm looking forward to meeting that special person. Love weekend excursions, whether to the mountains, ocean or just going somewhere you haven't been. Enjoy grilling and working around the house. To me love is passionate, it is honest, and it is selfless. Love is willing to completely give up your life for someone, to make sacrifices and put them first.

I honestly don't believe in online dating nor have I ever belonged to such, but I am a strong catholic and who knows maybe lighting could strike. I am a very down to earth, old fashioned kind of guy. Family is the most important thing in my life. Long story short I lived my teenage years in a small city called San Pedro Sula in Honduras. Had great years there, after graduating highschool I moved to Marbella, Spain to study abroad. After three years I moved to Barcelona for work. While I was there I travelled like crazy around europe with friends and made great memories. Then in 2013 I moved to Chicago, Illinois to continue my education and lived there for two years. I now reside in Miami, its a great city but I have to admit I miss the windy city and the cold. Nonetheless the beach here is amazing and there is so much to do too. I enjoy running and sightseeing, to gaze at architecture and think of nothing else just relax. I enjoy swimming when the weather is at its best. Things I would enjoy are drinking moderately, playing poker, board games or video games, watch movies and hang out with friends or family. I am first class foodie, I also like to cook on dates sometimes and enjoy paring wines or craft beers with. News media and technology, politics, different cultures are all interest topics.Growing up I used to be a good Catholic, I feel I have grown apart. But I try every to go to mass every Sunday. It be nice to get back to it with someone who is a good catholic.

Yes, I will be 70 on my next birthday, but please her me out. I've never smoked, no alcohol since 02/1986, no drugs, quit rec marijuana in 1988. An ongoing back issue requires some pain meds, but I'm my college weight. Semiretired MD. Zero xtra body fat. In other words, Everything works I want to be honest here - my wife died suddenly a year ago, leaving me with a huge emotional hole and a house to run, plus the castoff 3 cats and 2 dogs we raised from infancy. It's been an emotional, physical, and spiritual roller coaster for months and months I have absolute believe that God's plan for us is always better than our own, but He took her so suddenly that my Fears of the unknown twisted my soul into a stormy ocean for a long time. But instead of a nose dive into a convenient abyss of self pity, I've taken on the challenges facing any surviving spouse, and have begun a new and meaningful life for myself. I am proud of myself. God assigned me no simple task - a sudden life alone, but I have proven to me, at least, that I can take care of me, the house, the bills, my health, the finances, and the babies as if my real baby was still here. Took awhile, though - I just adored her. What do I want/expect here? Petra and I discussed more once what we expected of each other if one of us died. She was German and 13 years younger, fit fit, and gorgeous. She had such twinkling green eyes and a constant smile, and she loved people. She was always helping someone. By comparison, I was a grump when I didn't conform to her plans. I told her I absolutely expected her to thank God for the time we were together and then let love find her again, which it would. Me? She said, "Don't you dare miss a moment of life stewing over me, which you will - I love you but I know you. GET OUT OF BED AND GET OUT THERE! Meet someone - or I'll haunt you from the grave!" I just found this site in my church's weekly neewsletter; she's teliing me it's time to get out there in life again and she's urging me move on. "Even though it hurts like crazy Even though it hurts so bad I'm grateful for the time God gave us, Even if He couldn't make it last." "I'm learning how to live without you Even if I don't want to And if you send someone else to love It will be the perfect way to make you last. "Love Lives On."

My life has been full of fun and adventure - I played "red light, green light" with a bear who I bumped into while trying to eat a meal in Yosemite. I've SCUBA dived with sharks. I arrested three people I found driving my car the day after they stole it. I stood on the launch pad of the space shuttle. I was in love, twice. I had my "bell rung" in the boxing ring only once in about 100 fights. I got to be the first person ever in my family to graduate from college only to have my sister ruin it by getting an advance degree before me! On three different occasions, I thought, "No way, I survive this situation" (spoiler alert - I'm still here!) I ran track and field in college and I was the only pole vaulter ever to take out both stanchions and fall backwards into the infield in a single pole vault. (In my defense; I was only 18, never pole vaulted before, and was distracted by the female 400-meter crew running right by me before planting.) I thought about becoming a Catholic priest, twice (another spoiler alert, I didn't do it!) I travelled to 49 out of the 50 states (only Hawaii to knock off?). I have my faith in God, family, and friends. I've been truly blessed. My life now is love-filled managed chaos! Raising two daughters who live with me part-time and another grown young-man not living with me. Two dogs (or as I like to call them, "kids with fur) and occasional cat when grandparents are travelling. I live my life with honesty, integrity, and respect. My life is full of love and adventure (children bring that), respect (I teach that), imagination and humor (the youngest is a walking episode of "Modern Family"), compassion & caring (I'm blessed), and honesty (unless a child breaks something: then we get lies, denials, and counter-accusations - that a dog or cat did it). I love my mom, she's a blessing and I am not deserving of her. I try to live by a chivalrous code because It is the right thing to do and to model for my daughters. (They get upset when I hold open the car door open for them because "none of the other dad's do that." Whatever!! And I love the fact that it ticks them off and makes them feel special simultaneously!) I'm obviously sarcastic. I realized two things: 1) life isn't counting the number of breaths you take, but counting the number of moments that take your breath away; and 2) the key to intimacy is being completely vulnerable and being perfectly comfortable with that fact.
