66, Naperville, ILAt this point in my life I keep my eye on the big picture. I enjoy the simple things in life...nature's beauty as well as historical venues, culture, books, music, and a special interest in the automotive world and motorsport and design. Mixed in with all of this is a love of photography and digital imaging on my computer. Biking is something else I find fun and physically and mentally rewarding. A half hour fitness ride to an all day rail trail excursion. If you get to know me for any length of time you will also find that I am lighthearted or one to share wit or playfulness but that comes with knowing the other person. I also have reached a point in my life where the big picture also means considering everything in conjunction with God and a relationship with the Holy Spirit. When I reached my early 50s a family situation led me to this road of discovery and one that I hope to continue with God's grace and love. There is no other way. I remember watching Leo Buscaglia talking about love in the 80s. One of his many quotes... He must understand that if he is the world's finest plum and someone he loves does not like plums, he has the choice of becoming a banana. But he must be warned that if he chooses to become a banana, he will be a second rate banana. But he can always be the best plum.
47, Lisle, ILI had dated extensively (both within and outside my faith) but have learned that Faith and Moral Values is such an important cornerstone to any healthy and successful relationship. In speaking with my baby sister (of all people), she suggested that she had friends who have found matches through this website (she stood up at the wedding of one) and suggested that I give it a try. While I have never tried "on-line" dating, I felt this would be a nice alternative as it would place me in an opportunity to meet like minded people who hopefully share similar values. Being one of 11 children, I really have never been one to draw much attention to myself so I guess trying to put into words who I think I am will be sort of a challenge. I am a middle class professional who is single and has never been married. I was brought up in a large Irish Catholic family and my family is extremely important to me. Like many people, I have questioned my faith but, since then, I have seen and experienced things that made me realize nothing happens outside of Gods Plan. In 2004, I made a decision completely surrender myself to Gods will and it is the greatest decision I have ever made.
50, Romeoville, ILI'm a very fun person who likes to enjoy time with friends and family. I like to cook and spend time at home or wherever my friends & family want to go. I'm a very easy going person who is sincere, honest, caring and will be more than happy to help a friend or stranger in need. I have a good heart and I'm a very down to earth person. I have 2 wonderful kids who are in college and who are living with me. They are the most important people in my life and who keep me going and put a smile on my face. I enjoy working out, love to play hockey. Enjoy going out to eat, going to movies, having quiet evenings at times and just simply doing anything; as little as it may be. I'm very close to my family and like spending time with my parents and like to take care of them. I appreciate them for raising me to be the type of person I am. I'm a man with good morals, values & respectful of life & others.
45, Montgomery, ILI enjoy being outdoors as much as I can, especially fishing and camping. I also like to read, mostly biographies and classic works of fiction. My favorite Catholic traditions are praying the Rosary, lighting the Advent wreath, and the Stations of the Cross. I'm easy-going with a good sense of humor, and I'm looking to meet someone with whom I can create a good match and grow in the faith.
42, Naperville, ILFairly laid back, like to use sense of humor. Sometimes I say funny things or draw funny pictures. Have a professional and theological background. Like to chill or go out.
53, Joliet, ILI love God and my Catholic Faith and I look forward to one day being admitted into the Kingdom of Heaven. Until that day arrives I hope to find that special woman to share my life with. I was in the Navy for 24 years, retiring in 2006. My real passion is music, but since there aren't many paying gigs for trombonists, I earn a decent living as a Machinist which works out really well actually, because I have always loved working with my hands. I come from a strong male background and due to circumstances i.e. serving on destroyers with all-male crews didn't get much of a chance to interact with women as most men do in there early 20s. And since I didn't feel ready for marriage while being in the military as it places a lot of strain on a relationship, I chose to forgo that aspect of my life, Now I feel that the time is right. This is a real leap of faith for me as I tend to be a a very modest, private and shy person who only "opens up" with people once I feel that they have earned my trust. And frankly, I just don't like being self absorbed. I was also raised to be a gentleman and treat a woman like a lady I am also involved in getting myself back into shape. I could use everyone's prayers in that department!
34, Wheaton, ILGreetings in Christ! After five years in a men's religious community with an emphasis on restoring the sacred, pursuing the priesthood, I left with due permission due to very poor health. I am working very hard toward a full recovery, and now wish to pursue a vocation to the married life. I am very enthused about health, nutrition, and wellness, as these, along with my faith, have greatly helped me through my long illness. I love life, and I have a passionate desire to live my life as a Catholic to the fullest! I enjoy gardening, the outdoors, and spending time with Our Lord in Prayer. I love philosphy, logic, and intellectual conversations. I enjoy the art of debate. I love discussing and debating creation, intelligent design and evolution. I enjoy gardening, the outdoors, and anything good and true and beautiful. I have a great passion for all forms of beautiful sacred art, particularly sacred music, including polyphony and Gregorian Chant. (Sacred art was a part of my community's charism, and helped inspire me thus.) I attend the Latin Tridentine Mass every Sunday, where I conduct the chant for the schola. I also love the pro-life movement, and have a particular interest in the area of medical ethics, especially in the area of medical and health care for the sick. I would describe my personality as childlike, full of joy, outgoing, passionate. At the moment, I am struggling with some health issues, but with God's help, I hope to overcome them.
35, Yorkville, ILI am always willing to help people. I give time to all that need it. I enjoy working out and staying healthy to live a long life. My parents have a huge impact on my life. They are always there to assist when I have a question or need help. They push me to do everything I want to in life. On time off from work I enjoy relaxing at home and watching a good movie. I enjoy running when the weather is nice and just being outside in general. I like to ride bikes in the summer and snowboard in the winter. I enjoy doing all the different running events and triathlons in the area. I also like to teach on my time off in the many different areas that I am qualified to teach in.
43, Darien, ILIm looking for someone who thinks God to be the center of our life. Who respects my decision and respect her decision in life. I also want someone who will i treat to be my queen
21, Watseka, ILI'm a mechanic and also work in the auto parts industry. My acting dad has brought me back to finding my faith. In my leisure time I restore old cars or help with the local animal rescue.
45, Lombard, ILI like to be outdoors to enjoy the beauty of nature. I love a good hike and to seek out wildlife while I'm at it. Wild flowers and photos are what I take back with me. I go to church on Sunday - but I feel closer to God when I'm out in nature or spending time with family and friends. Nothing beats a good walk n talk with a loved one.
46, Lisle, ILWell for starters I don't always feel comfortable talking about myself but here goes. I am an avid Cubs fan and this has become the most exciting season of my life. I only hope and pray that they can go all the way. Aside from baseball, music is my way of getting away from it all. I write and play music to entertain myself, and sometimes I will play a gig for a group, strictly on a part time basis because I have a full time job working with schools on extra curricular activities. I am a good catholic attending weekly service. One of my favorite quotes is: "you don't know how important God is to you, until He becomes the only one you can turn to." So keep your faith no matter how difficult times may become.
