  • Scott, 56 from Evanston, IL

I have been told I am a generous, thoughtful, and ambitious person. I enjoy the outdoors (particularly the beach and water: swimming, snorkeling, scuba, etc.) and all types of activities and sports (my golf and tennis games need improvement). I am blessed with a good Catholic upbringing as well as the fine art of gentlemanly manners (never extend your hand to greet a lady, until she extends her hand first, never wear a baseball cap at the table, etc.). I would like to think I have a fairly widespread area of interests. I enjoy grabbing a burger as well as dining. I also enjoy going to ballgames and the myriad of festivals during our terrific Chicago summers. I appreciate going to a niece or nephew recital, U2 at Madison Square Garden, or Springsteen at Shea. I have an attraction to the arts whether it be on canvas at a museum or the symphony. I am a dog lover. I enjoy travel and hope to expand my destinations. My professional career was entirely in one industry, but I have now changed industries. The challenges are numerous, but I enjoy the new profession I have chosen. I am healthy, happy, and working on becoming wiser.

I am very outgoing and athletic. Having completed ten marathons, I enjoy the challenge and competition they provide. A graduate of The University of Iowa, I enjoy attending football and basketball games, wrestling, and especially women's field hockey! Being civic minded, I am involved in several charities, including Special Olympics in Illinois, and Inspiration Cafe for the homeless. I consider myself to be a good cook since I prepare breakfast for the Cafe on Sunday mornings. I am a thoughtful, caring, and loyal friend who enjoys the outdoors and all the beauty it provides for us in spring and fall. If you enjoy walking, good conversation, sharing fine wine and food, then lets get together.
  • Daniel, 29 from Evanston, IL
    29, Evanston, IL
Hi, my name is Dan and I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and have always lived here. I am a practicing Latin-Rite Catholic and someone who takes the Faith seriously. I tend to be quirky, weird, kind, gentle, romantic, and affectionate. I also like to joke around, but I know when to stop. I graduated in May 2010 from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in Business Administration and currently work for a bank. I like to read, I love art, and I enjoy the art of cinema, but my real, intense passion is for music and architecture; I am working on a solo electronic music project titled The Color Army and discerning attending graduate school to study architecture. I have also begun to dabble with DJing but I haven't started gigging yet, but hopefully in time I will. I also enjoy traditional choral music and Renaissance polyphony (I did choir all four years of high school), along with chant. I am also interested in sociological, political, and economic matters, and I take interest in social developments and movements. I currently live in Evanston, just north of Chicago. I'm also really into modern architecture...REALLY into it! If you're interested message me!
  • John, 46 from Evanston, IL
    46, Evanston, IL
I am passionate about family, especially being the best father that I can be to my daughter, staying loyal to and supporting friends however I can and (while it is straining at times) Notre Dame football. When I am home in Evanston, I am generally up for a bike ride or walk through the many lakefront parks and can often be found with my daughter on the beach in the summers or sledding hills in winter. I enjoy cooking and trying to grow my own vegetables on my patio, but generally those end up feeding the squirrels more than they do us. To relax, I spend quite of bit of time reading, honing my rapier like wit and trying to challenge and expand my learning - I probably have more math related t-shirts than any other type. If you are looking for something similar, I would be happy to hear from you.
  • David, 49 from Evanston, IL
    49, Evanston, IL
I am a clean-cut, traditional guy. I was born and raised in a small town in central Illinois. I have a bachelors degree in accounting from Notre Dame and MBA from Northwestern and have lived in either Chicago or Evanston since graduation. I currently work in consulting for a large accounting firm. I have traveled extensively for work and pleasure including London, Rome, Berlin, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and Sydney. I have spent the majority of my life focusing on my career--oftentimes to the detriment of my personal life. I am very close to my family and have spent countless weekends cheering on my nephews at their football or basketball games and look forward to having my own kids someday. My Catholic faith is extremely important to me, and I am actively involved in my local parish. I am looking for a long term relationship. I definitely want to get married and start a family and am looking for a like-minded, never-married SWF. If you are interested, I look forward to hearing from you.
  • Jeffrey, 57 from Evanston, IL
    57, Evanston, IL
I am passionate about my kids, my extended family, and America. My family has been the center of my life since they were born. Now that the last one has started college I'm looking to get out and do more things for me, although I still love to do things with them. I am retired from the Army. I am extremely patriotic and very conservative. I love everything American. I have a very eclectic set of interests. I like to hang out at home and watch TV, read, or work on collecting, but I also like to go out to dinner, shows or just with Friend. I also like to camp and hike and continue to work with the Boy Scouts (both of my sons are Eagle Scouts).
  • Richard, 54 from Evanston, IL
    54, Evanston, IL
I just joined on Good Friday and pray that I'm blessed with meeting a woman with strong morals and values. I look forward to living the rest of my life with a lady who's faith in God comes first and foremost. I enjoy very simple things in life. Love of God, compassion for others, humility family and friends are what's important. I have come back to my faith on and off for most of my life but after losing several family members and a job lose some 15 years ago I found my strength to move forward came from God. Now I pray and hope I will be blessed with the love of a good Catholic woman.
  • Ken, 28 from Evanston, IL
    28, Evanston, IL
Hi, I'm Ken! I grew up in the Southeast United States and recently moved to Chicago for a job. I work in academia, both researching and teaching. Right now, the plan is to stay on this track and become a professor at a research university in the United States. As with everyone else, work is only a part of my life. I'm thankful to have a parish on my way to work with morning Mass, which I'm able to attend more or less every day. There's a Catholic chapel across the street from my office that I can stop in to at the end of the work day. For me, being in touch with Our Lord regularly is an essential part of living out the faith, and these activities form the bedrock of my spirituality. Growing up, the two organizations that were most influential were the Catholic church and the Boy Scouts; with the help of some great mentors, I learned many practical life skills and values that have helped guide me. I won't claim to live up to these values perfectly, but having them as guideposts has been a wonderful blessing. In my leisure time, I enjoy running outdoors, especially outdoors on natural trails. I also enjoy social dancing -- especially waltz and west coast swing (I know -- they're very different!) As a result, I'm fairly open to different styles of music, so long as I can dance to it and the content is appropriate. Around the apartment, I like to cook -- especially tex-mex dishes -- and have recently begun woodworking.
  • Dave, 28 from Evanston, IL
    28, Evanston, IL
Hi, I'm Dave. I'm getting my Masters in Higher Education right now at Loyola University Chicago. I'm also working as a Graduate Assistant for the Alternative Break Immersion program. Basically, I plan 25 different service immersion experiences for undergraduate students every year and hopefully help them to spend more time with the marginalized in society. In my free time I really enjoy running by the lake, playing ultimate frisbee, watching a little too much Netflix, and exploring the city I'm in. I do really enjoy sports of all kind both watching and playing. I also like to think that I'm funny, even though this bio may not seem like it. Oh well.

My name is Benjamin and I am new to one of these sites. I come from a Catholic background and thought it might be nice to see what else is out there besides what is in my hometown.
