49, Ontario, ORThought I would try this out and see what happens. Before I deployed to Iraq I tried this site out and met some really great people. So I thought I would give it one more try. After spending a year in Iraq I have a great apperication for this great country and can say that my faith helped me get through my deployment.
26, Hillsboro, ORI'm a Midwestern transplant now in the land of hipsters. Where I grew up, flannel goes with bird dogs and pickup trucks. The Portland area is a new adventure for me. I am a graduate of the University of Kansas, with a Masters in chemical engineering, now working as a managing engineer in Hillsboro. Family is a top priority in my life, along with keeping it all centered on God and the sacraments. In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors/sports oriented. I am an avid outdoorsman and try to keep an active lifestyle as much as possible. I really enjoy learning, so my hobbies almost always consist of things that have bottomless pits of information, because they never get old.
36, Sublimity, ORHello, My name is Chris.I am new to this online dating thing and a little skeptic about it, but I thought I would give it a try. Well, here it goes. I am a practicing Catholic and my faith and family are very important to me.I attend mass every week and every holy day.I try to help out in my parish when I can.I pray the rosary, chaplet of divine mercy, and chaplet of unity of Jesus king of all nations, along with some other prayers daily.I try to read the daily readings if I can as well. I would say I am on the shy side at first until I get to know you then I will open up,also am introverted and at times like alone time to recharge.I am honest, caring, and loyal.I like to make others laugh when I can and bring others up when they are feeling down and give them some words of encouragement. On the down side I can be stubborn at times.(We all have faults) I very rarely drink and never have more than one drink. It's just not my thing.I would rather have a soda pop, water, or ice tea anyday over a alcoholic drink. I am not into the bar scene at all and never have been and not much of a party animal neither.I pretty much lead a boring life when it comes to those things.I do not smoke, chew, or do drugs at all. It's not for me. I am the youngest of 4 children and was born and raised in Oregon. All of my siblings are within less than an hour drive away.I grew up on a family farm where I still currently work along with some of my family members.Farming is not a 8-5 job.It has some very long hours at certain times of the year, which has made it harder to meet someone.I would not trade growing up on a farm and living out in the country for anything. It has been a great blessing God has given me.I would love to find that special someone and be able to raise a family out in the country someday. The farming life is part of me and don't ever see myself not working in some part of agriculture.I also love to grow ornamental trees and shrubs as it is a deep interest of mine.I don't see myself living anywhere far away from my current area, but you never know God may have different plans.I like the outdoors and I like going up to the mountains, but haven't been able to go as much as I used to. Well, that's about all for right now Thanks for looking God bless
27, Lebanon, ORHi, just a little about myself, I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors, hiking, swimming, sitting around a camp fire, yard work, relaxing in a lawn chair, and a bunch of other stuff. growing in my faith is also important to me, it seems like there's always new stuff to learn or be reminded about.
39, Portland, ORI'm an engineer pursuing a PhD in Computer Engineering and wrapping up my dissertation; this year I got hired in the Hi-Tech industry as full-time employee and relocated to the Pacific Northwest. I love technology and advancing on my career in the industry, and consider Steve Jobs one of my inspirational figures. I also like politics and world discussion topics, languages and interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to West Coast Swing events, watching movies and listening rock/jazz.
57, Salem, ORI'm very passionate about musical arts in general. This summer in July, me and my son are attending the John Cougar Mellancamp and were both very excited for this event. My dad has played the biggest role model in my life to this day. His strong worth ethic and honesty has given me a great example to live my life by. I have a wide diversity in leisure time activities from working on cars to listening to music or to watch my sons basketball games. At the end of the day, I know god takes care of all of these activities for me.
52, Portland, ORI am a person that enjoys life! I am an active person who enjoys running, hiking and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy a relaxing evening out for dinner and a movie or the theater. I enjoy a trip to the beach or a spontaneous picnic in the park. The people that influence me most are my immediate family and most of all God who provides me with strength and direction in life.
27, Portland, ORMy name is Brian. The masks I wear include teacher, brother, son, friend, mentor, coach, student, Catholic, outdoor enthusiast, volunteer, future professional athlete (in my childhood dreams, before growing to be only 5'6" prevented a career in the NBA ;), destroyer of karaoke songs, international traveler, and dance instructor (ok, not really, I'm terrible at dancing, but I try!). I'm a pretty easy going guy and love to go adventures. I've traveled and lived on four continents, and am hoping to get to more before too long. Anyone with fun travel stories? I'd love to hear from you! I'm pretty traditional (who says chivalry is dead?!) and tend to get along with just about anyone. My family is incredibly important to me and will always be a main priority, along with my faith. Right now, I'm on here looking for a relationship. As for hobbies, I like to stay active as much as possible and really enjoy any kind of sports. I especially like to play (to various levels of success!) basketball and soccer.
19, Hillsboro, ORSpending time with family, becoming a better Catholic, and helping others. The people who have been the most influential in my life are my family and my priest. I enjoy hanging out with my family and learning about my Faith.
28, Beaverton, ORJust another Catholic guy trying to find his vocation in life! My Catholic faith has always been a part of who I am and what I do, and I try to surround myself with people who feel the same way and will help challenge and support me. I grew up going to Catholic schools, and had a great faith community in college through the Newman center, so since having graduated and moved to a new city a few years ago I'm gradually building up that Catholic base group again. In my free time I am an amateur landscape and wildlife photographer, and as such don't often find myself on the other side of the lens. I also enjoy snowboarding, hiking, and many of the other great opportunities that Pacific North West living provides. Fun fact: I've appeared as an extra on the NBC show "Grimm."
24, Hillsboro, ORI moved to the area this last summer for work. I like to go fishing and hiking. I have recently started drawing which has been a blast. I love being outside and active throughout the day. I like to see the good in people. I try to be the friend I would want to have. Its not always easy but then again thats probably part of the reason I try. I got most of my life together so far and would like to keep things moving forward.
32, Portland, ORI put a tremendous amount of effort into my friendships, and spend a lot of time with my family. I'm a hard worker. I am 100% Italian. I am very private (for better or for worse) about my faith and faith journey, and love my Church. Daily mass rejuvenates me, and I attend as much as I can when my schedule allows. I love live music, the outdoors and MUSICALS! I spend as much time as I can in Central Oregon fly fishing the Metolius and Deschuttes Rivers and exploring all the area has to offer. Although I am not able to do this as much as I would like, if I had my way, I would move to Sisters or Bend and fly fish the rest of my life! My friends are the world to me. Most of them I have known since high school or earlier, and most are married with children. I am known by some little ones as "uncle Mark" and "Godfather." This profile is a long time coming, but I am glad I was finally convinced to try online dating!
