Me, for instance... I love to play golf, I love to cook, I love to travel, I am thankful for the friends and family that I have close to me and miss the ones that I don't get to see very often because of time or distance. I am a die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and Notre Dame football. I am a great listener, easy to talk to, and an all-around pretty good guy. I like to laugh and have fun. I am kind of quiet, not shy really, just quiet. I have no problem saying what I think. I don't care for the games associated with relationships...if you have something to say, just say it. If I managed to upset you or make you mad, however unintentionally, and you don't think that I know it, I probably don't, so tell me, yell if you feel like it, but just tell me. It's called communication and, from what I hear, its pretty important.

So I'm annulled. What's that mean? Well for one -- I come already house-trained! :D More seriously, it means that I have experience in being married. I have a better idea of what to expect, how to communicate, and strategies for avoiding common pitfalls. It means that I'm committed to making marriage work, no matter the sacrifice. What am I most-passionate about? It definitely includes my Faith as a Catholic, learning, discussing, teaching, and loving Jesus. Quality time with family and friends is also in the mix. I love the feeling of contentedness with them, particularly with my dad. But, what truly excites me is creatively solving problems: using the law to help the disabled at work, stimulating discussions, programming, science, philosophy, theology, rhetoric, leading and compromising. I'm a nerd, and proud!

I'm an easy going, caring, well educated professional who enjoys nature and the outdoors such as hiking, kayaking, biking or just lazing around with friends at the beach, barbeque etc . I was for many years overly involved with work at the expense of my personal life but my new job has enabled a balance. I am looking for an honest, loving woman with Christian values to share that with. I am fortunate to have a close knit family that is also relatively strong in the Catholic faith.

I am a normal person looking for a good friend. Possibly this friendship can grow into something very special. I would like to share my life with that special person and hopefully this sharing will increase as our friendship increases. I would like to meet someone who is nice, kind and honest.

I believe each day is a Gift from God. The true joy of life is the trip. We need to relish the moment. Life is so very precious People get caught up in the burdens of the day and regrets over yesterday. This is the day which the Lord Hath made We will Rejoice and be glad in it.
  • Matthew, 33 from Springfield, IL

    33, Springfield, IL
Hello my name is Matt. I recently became a Licensed Architect. First & foremost, I currently only have free version. Any messages sent to me are unable to be seen for over a week. (partial reasoning for the frugality and not subscribing, I haven't fully convinced myself that this is the route I'd like to take to meet a potential match. I'd consider myself to be easy going. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family. It takes me a little while for me to warm up when around new people, but once I am comfortable around others then I can dish out witty banter. I am a movie buff and like going to and watching movies. I have an eclectic taste in music, and Classic Rock and anything from the 80's would be among my favorites. I am an aficionado of hockey, and my favorite professional team is the Pittsburgh Penguins. I like playing Ultimate (frisbee) and recently picked up frisbee golf (frolfing) as a new sport. I do like to play sand volleyball (I have a bit of a height advantage) though it's been a while since I've played. I also like playing bocce (part of my Italian heritage). I like to design and build furniture, in my spare time. Watching a movie or two. I enjoy going to hockey games (minor league games too) though I'd go to any sporting event. I enjoy traveling.

I strive to do the Lord's will in every aspect of my life and am so thankful for the gift of faith! I love hearing other peoples' stories! What's yours?

I grew up in a small town right next to Springfield. After finishing grad school, I took a job working for the state. I am the youngest of three children. I do enjoy spending time with my family and friends. When I am with my friends, we would have the occasional game night, go out to eat, or play trivia, but I do enjoy the occasional quite night at home.

I'm a single, practicing Catholic, praying that someday I can sacrifice my free time and energy for a woman that I care about and who cares just as much for me. I have an enthusiasm and passion for living a healthy and saintly lifestyle. I attend mass often and find opportunities to indulge myself in my faith. I enjoy long walks, the sunrise, traveling, cooking, nature, and learning about the world. I'm an actuary, athlete, bibliophile, highbrow, and proud Catholic. In my free time, I'm an avid runner. I am also an active member of Toastmasters International. Anything else, I will save for you later. Send me a message if you have any questions, comments, or complaints. I look forward to hearing from you!

I have not always been a believer in Christ and God, but I have always been a Catholic. This past year I have found faith in the trinity. So now that's out there, my answers to the Catholic questions are not kosher but today I see my faith to be a huge part of my life. I really enjoy working out, and eating healthy. I also enjoy my work even at a computer! I spend the occasional day inside watching netflix but most of the time I am doing something not sitting in front of the computer. Currently it is learning to repair/rebuild a car I just bought.

I work as a Ground Operations Agent at the airport and am going to school for Philosophy. I read alot: Dante, Charles Dickens, G.K. Chesterton, Venerable Fulton Sheen. My exercise consists of hard work and the prostrations that I do when I pray which I learned from the Greek Orthodox Church. I was baptized Catholic but my parents started attending the Lutheran church (which is what mom was) when I was 2. I was a serious Lutheran until 18 after which time I became an atheist, well pagan then atheist, then just a seeker. I have studied all the religions and experienced them but am glad to be home since October of 2016 thanks in large part to the Rosary and Introduction to Christianity by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, this conversion started in August and followed five years of membership in the Greek Orthodox Church during which time I explored a vocation to monasticism. Growing up I was scared to death of girls and am just now learning to approach them, but I know that I want to give my heart to someone and have her to love and to hold.
