Imagine you're walking through Barcelona's cathedral square on a warm August evening. You breathe in the warm sea air gently playing with your face. It's your last evening in this ancient city. Wandering by several Tapas bars, the smell of seafood and spicy red wine intoxicates you, yet all you can think about is how in the world will you spend the night all alone when your command of the native language is limited to: "cafe con leche, por favor?" Long story short, yes I made the evening one of the most memorable of my life by finding an Irish bar...and no, I didn't need to know a lick of Spanish. As you can guess by now, I love travel. I've been blessed with many opportunities to explore many interesting places at home and abroad. Rome by far is one of my favorite cities in the world. Seeing famous places like the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, and the ruins of the Forum were amazing. In 2013 I flew to Hong Kong and Singapore for a work assignment and didn't want to come back! I'm not sure if it's learning new things or the idea of coaching people to achieve professional success, but I think it is my passion for both that led me to become a corporate trainer and facilitator. I've had some missteps and job transitions at the start, but once you lean into your true passion and purpose, things just click. Before you know it, you are living life on your own terms and things just keep getting better and better. Not to say working a corporate job doesn't keep me on my toes, but I do make time for relaxing with friends and family. A few glasses of wine, lots of laughing, and a bit of really good jazz will loosen me up on the weekends. However, I do not need a lot of adult beverages to relax and recharge. Waking up early on a Saturday morning, getting in my car, attending Mass, and heading for the local Barnes and Noble to read a good book over a strong cup of coffee is probably my favorite way to reconnect with the finer things in life. I love to cook and watch culinary shows like Masterchef and Chopped. I will cook you an Italian dinner that will make you want to kiss me. The only problem? You will have such strong garlic breath that I might not want to kiss you!

I spend most of my free time working with several nonprofit organizations, or helping my parents or I am at the gym, biking, walking, doing yard work. Later at night, I'm typically reading or I'm studying/practicing Spanish. of course, during the day, I'm at the office. I do enjoy long walks, movies, books, and dancing.

One thing that I'm really passionate about is doing my absolute best to live a healthy lifestyle. One of the things I look forward to the most is a balance of relaxing over the weekend, as well as, spending time with friends and family. Experiences, such as giving back to the community, and my parents, have really been inflential in my life.

I'm a lifetime learner and like to search for new ideas to think about and that change the way I see the world. I enjoy my work and believe in the mission of my nonprofit and also volunteer for Catholic Charities and the boy scouts. I'm hoping to meet someone who has a good heart and is curious about the world.

Hi. I"m Eric. Here is a quick rundown of who I am. I'm 33 years old, I have two jobs that I really love, and I have a great family. Work keeps me pretty occupied sometimes, and I don't always get to socialize as much as i want to. I was raised Catholic, so I thought this site offered the best chance at meeting someone with a similar background and values. I enjoy meeting new people, and learning new things. If you'd like to know anything I didn't write here, please ask. :)

I am passionate about 1) Attending Mass each week and the ministries (Usher, Greeter and Eucharistic Minister) for which I volunteer. 2) My family: all 17 kids, 25 grandkids and 8 great grand kids. I enjoy being with them for all of the various family gatherings. 3) My vegetable garden and maintaining a nice yard for both the neighbors and myself. 4) The Knights of Columbus, I have been an officer since the day I joined 15 years ago. In 2016, I served on 40 Honor Guards. The most influential person in my life was my wife. We celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to her death in January 2011. I loved her a little more each day from the moment I first saw her. She was the joy of my life. She challenged me to be better and to do more. She supported me in all of our endeavors. We were there for each other in good times and those not so good. One desire of mine is to make other people smile, even strangers. I enjoy giving and receiving hugs. It is an important part of my social life. I am an excessive volunteer with an average of 30 hours per week. I want to remarry. But only the right woman.

Well... here goes! I've been divorced for a bit over three years (with annulment), and am in a really good place right now. A bit about me.... my top priority in life is my faith. It means everything to me. It's been a constant in my life, and I continue to pray that I reflect Christ more in my day to day life. No easy task! Next, my kids. I have two amazing girls (10 and 12), and time with them is so valuable to me. Finally, I value my friendships, and enjoy spending time getting together. So what am I like? I feel blessed - great family, good friends, a job I truly love, a good home... I believe I am genuinely a "good guy", with a strong sense of who I am, and what is important to me. I can be both serious and silly, enjoying both deep conversations as well as silly banter back and forth (if you can handle it!). I laugh easily at myself, and have no problem saying "I'm sorry". I do have a romantic side, and absolutely love to give and receive affection. I enjoy a night out, but don't feel like I always have to be doing something. I need that downtime occasionally to recharge... a simple evening of watching a movie together, lying with each other by the fireplace, talking on the deck, grilling out, watching sports (had to throw that in!), or taking a walk while holding hands sounds perfect. What else? I love sports, and I listen to way too much sports radio :) I also enjoy being active (softball, tennis, skiing) and absolutely love being outside in nature (campfires, hiking, long walks, biking, gardening). My favorite state is Colorado as I love the mountains! Hobbies include photography, movies, fitness, live bands, and reading. I know after a while all these words in everyone's profile start sounding the same. I believe, though, that the thing that unites us all here is that deep desire to find true love. I know that's what I'm here for...

Hi. I don't get the chance to meet many women in my line of business, so I figured I'd have to break down and try my luck with the personal ads. Then I realized no one my age has read the personal ads in about fifteen years. So I figured I may as well see what's going on here. The rest, as they say, is history.
  • Nick, 26 from Springfield, IL
    26, Springfield, IL
Hey, I'm Nick. I'm an easy-going guy working in Springfield after graduating from NIU a few years ago. I enjoy running, fishing, camping, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. I am passionately pro-life, and a member of Life Runners, a national pro-life running organization. I've ran all sorts of races including one full marathon, and three halfs. I'm also on a softball team in Springfield. I strive to do the Lord's will in every aspect of my life and am so thankful for the gift of faith! I love hearing other peoples' stories! What's yours?

I love Catholic Christian Chivalry! (Insert Trumpet Fanfare here!). I try earnestly to be Our Lady's Gentleman! I Love Our God, Holy Mass,Our Blessed Mother Mary, the Angels and Saints and the Holy Souls in Purgatory. My Faith lives in both my serious and fun parts of my daily life. That's why I am typically Cheerful, Sunny, Optimistic and upbeat. I've been told by many that my Smile and Bouncy Spirit are commonplace and expected. I aim to please. God-willing, I won't disappoint. :) At a very early age, my Grandma taught me to be Joyful, Pleasant, Kind, Courteous, Gentlemanly, Helpful and Thoughtful to others. She was my most influential person in my young life. Also, there was the older boy in my hospital room when I was 5 years old with a broken arm. I broke the little train engine toy my Mom just bought for me. I started to cry. This "older" boy (no older than 10) struggled to get out of his bed, hobbled over and fixed my ChooChoo! He was my HERO!! He died in surgery the VERY Day that I left the hospital! My heart broke! To this day, I try to live my life not only for me...but for that little boy too, who never got a chance to grow up and have a family. RIP, My L'il HERO! I enjoy Singing Opera and Church music. I play the French Horn and Native American Flute. I converse in French and Italian. I love to Dance!!! I am beginning to learn Ballroom and Latin dance. I especially love Waltzing. However, a simple Slowdance, with my soulmate in my arms, gazing lovingly into her eyes has to be my favorite! God-willing, that partner will dance into my life! Soon! I love Adoration Chapels and Outdoor Shrines, especially if they are dedicated to Our Blessed and Beautiful Mother Mary! :) Favorite Things: Keeping Company with that very Special Someone whether walking or sitting, quiet or talking, Forest Walks, Boat rides, Being Outdoors, Libraries, Lulling in front of a fan, The smell of the new rain when it 1st touches the ground, Trees, Teaching CCD, Studying and fun-talking about the lives of the Saints, Making little Outdoor Shrines, Afternoon Naps (Rare but special), Biking, Hiking, Singing Duets, Going to the Opera, Playing in an orchestra, Shakespeare Plays, Summer, especially August! Visiting Shrines, Composing Music, Dancing, Cooking Meals Together, Christmas Movies. All better if done TOGETHER!. Summing it all's all about using the Love that God Gives us to MAKE MEMORIES For and With Others! N'est-Ce Pas?! P.S. I Love Bacon! :)

I guess I can best describe myself as an even keel person. I don't get to high or low about anything. At times I have been described as a mean person since I sometimes don't have a filter and I really don't like to beat around the bush. My family is a very important part of my life and they do have an influence in the choices I make. I was not born in the U.S. but came here when I was a kid. At times I have found it very difficult to mesh how I was raised with the culture here in the U.S. The way I see it, when push comes to shove, I stick with how I was raised.

Laid back, quiet, occasionally snarky. My family tended to have the most influence in my life overall, especially my dad. I enjoy going to the Library weekly to see if there's anything new of interest to pick up, anything with an interesting premise or narrative tends to be the sorts of things I want to look more into. Beyond that I try to keep an open mind to try anything at least once, from new restaurants to community events.
