I am a fun and sweet person to be around. I am 6' tall with blue eyes and light brown hair. I enjoy being outdoors, taking in all of Gods creations. I've been blessed to have a wonderful family and friends. I enjoy having the interaction with my niece and nephew. I enjoy watching sporting events. I like to attend Purdue football and basketball games. The tailgating is always fun, getting to know the new people that are out there.

I'm a Midwestern guy born and raised with all the traditional values you'd expect. People tell me I have a good sense of humor...and I'd agree with that. What's better than a good laugh to cheer you up? I can tell corny jokes sometimes - so, I hope you'd laugh at those. The Catholic faith is important to me and is why I've come to CatholicMatch to find someone who shares these same beliefs. As far as interests go, I like to try my hand in the kitchen...both cooking and baking. Comfort food recipes are my favorite. I spent a couple of years in the South going to grad school, so Southern comfort food has a special place in my heart. Now, don't get me wrong...I don't cook like that every day. Staying fit and healthy is important to me. And, if we're going to do all that work to stay in good shape...I think we deserve some comfort food once in awhile, right?I'm much more of a TV buff than a movie buff (although I think a movie night = a great date night). On my DVR...I'm.laughing about Indiana life on "The Middle", spending Thursdays with my friends Leonard and Sheldon on "The Big Bang Theory". I also enjoy other guilty pleasures like "The Amazing Race" and "Big Brother". I'm a calm, cool, collected guy who's not a big drinker and isn't a huge sports fan. That being said, I love going to see sports LIVE. Nothing's better than the TinCaps on a summer night and I'd love to check out a Komets or Mad Ants game some time. Some of my favorite things to do around Fort Wayne include visiting new restaurants and our museums/attractions. Plus, checking out local theater performances.

I take pleasure in life and try to see the positive in most things and people. I enjoy trying new things and new adventures, but its a lot more fun if I have someone by my side. I try to stay active, which is easier in warmer months when I can hit the road on my road bike. It's a fun way to spend part of a day, riding around, exploring, and getting some exercise in. I'm generally terrible at sports, but I still try new ones. I have a tennis racquet and shoes, and running clothes and shoes. I don't use either of them right now, but maybe if I found a partner to practice with, I'd pick them back up again. I've been downhill and cross-country skiing a few times and those were a lot of fun. I find that I like to help people. Sometimes that is through organized events like Habitat for Humanity or cooking casseroles for a local homeless shelter. Other times, it's helping at a local parish with some random things that need to be done or one of my students needs help understanding a concept or doing a problem. I've been told that I'm a good listener, too, and sometimes that's all someone really needs.

I was born and raised in Indiana and I come from a large, close family. I just moved back to Indiana 5 years ago after living in several different states, mostly in the South. I'm currently an Insurance Investigator for a company in Indianapolis and spent many years in the retail industry in the Loss Prevention/Security field. I served in the U S Army for 6 1/2 years and I'm currently in the Naval Reserves entering my 13th year. I have 3 years of college completed pursuing a BA degree in History and want to pursue my Masters in American Revolutionary history. As for interest, I love music (Hard Rock/Classic, Punk, Alternative and Blues), I play golf (but not as often as I used to), I run approximately 25-30 miles a week (I belong to a running club) and I love college football and I'm a huge Notre Dame & Navy fan.

The more one observes the birds in the air the more one feels the freedom within. Life is like the water in the river. Watch the water flow and you will soon discover the hidden treasure within.

Back when i was interviewing for my first job, a common question asked by interviewers was "tell me about yourself". Back then, i rambled on and on about my volunteer work, hobbies, and leadership style, but none of that seems to apply in this situation. I guess what you really want to know is that I have a customer service job where I am "on-call" 24/7. I don't make a lot of plans because they often get interrupted by work. I look forward to new movies that come out and dinner reservations, mostly because 2 hour movies and dinner are both situations where I can step out and answer a phone call. As far as bigger goals, I am working to get in shape for the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon next year (up to 4.5 miles, only another 9 to go). I love watching football, science fiction movies, and stupid sitcoms (i have a unhealthy, shameful obsession with these). I do play fantasy football, which essentially makes me a nerd who doesn't hate sports (however Star Trek is still pretty awesome). I bike whenever i get the opportunity to do so and i enjoy camping. I also love road trips, while hating having to drive to complete errands. About a year ago, i was relocated for work to NW Georgia. I am actively working to get back to Indianapolis full-time, but as of right now i spend about 50% of my time there. I expect to be back full-time in Indy by mid-to-late November. Now that i have rambled on for the past 1,433 characters (gotta love the character count thing on this site), i can tell you that conversations with me are fairly similar. Talking to me is a bit... erratic... but i can stay on topic if the situation calls for it. I dont really know how to end this rambling mess of a personal summary. I guess I'm done....

I am a hard working man that works most of the time about 50 hours a week so it is hard for me to get out there and meet people. I love to travel different exciting places. I like to draw, play the piano and love going to the movies.

My Catholic Faith and helping people out are the most important to me. Scripture reading had to be the most profound retreat I've ever been on hearing God's voice through the Scriptures in a real way. I enjoy making a journal of the ways Jesus spoke to me in the Scripture passages. St. John Paul the Great has been very instrumental in me praying the Rosary with the new Luminous Mysteries. Also St. John Vianney patron of priests showed me a life of sacrifice from a young age reading the Cure D Ars book about St. John's life. Also how he prayed for the village to come back to the Catholic Church and Confession and Catechism classes which happened. One thing I enjoy is reading about the Saints and their lives which are fascinating and teach me virtues to live out better. These days there is more sin and temptation in the world then the middle ages but where sin abounds grace all the more abounds so I need to ask God for more grace to overcome the sins in my life. God said the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit so I believe I'm called to take care of that body to be able to accomplish any physical task God asks of me and exercise gives me energy and helps me feel good to accomplish keeping my body fit. I also enjoy play the guitar and most of the time singing praise songs to Jesus making up my own songs but I also play Casting Crowns and Third Day music and the like to Praise and Worship Jesus. Also Eucharistic Adoration when I get free time there is nothing like spending an hour in Adoration with Jesus for an Hour on a Saturday morning. I also regularly go to confession once a monthif my schedule permits. God bless you!

I love my faith and I love my kids. I have one who is a freshman in high school and one who is in 7th grade. While I like my job it does not define me. I try to treat others like I want to be treated and have a positive outlook on life. I am very aware of how blessed I am (even though at times I don't act like it) have am grateful.
