Single man who has never found the "right person" to spend my life with. I still believe it is possible to find that "right person". There is no excitement in my life alone but I believe "all things are possible" with the right mate. I am a very shy person and that sometimes makes first dates difficult. I love to travel, but it is much more enjoyable with someone.

I am looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. I thought i had that but it turned out not to be the case. I am very loyal and trustworthy and am looking for someone who has the same values. I want to be with someone who isn't afraid to communicate and let me know how they feel. I want to be able to share life experiences with a special someone and feel that we have common values and goals.

I begin and end each day telling my late parents that I love them, miss them and thank them for giving me life. And, for giving me common sense, a sense of humor and life. My daughter and son, and siblings and their families are my priorities.

  • Edward, 61 from Topeka, KS
    61, Topeka, KS
I have never been to jail or prison. I am not a wanted man. I have never operated under the name Alfredo deCorsica. I was never expelled from school or suspended but I had a good time anyway. I studied Ancient History, Greek and Latin in college. I have never filed for bankruptcy, but then I am not secretly wealthy either. I have never sued anyone nor have I ever been sued. I have owned a dog and he liked me. I have been working steadily since I was 16 years old. I have never been to Spain, but Ive been to Oklahoma. I dont watch slasher movies. I dont own a gun. I dont like sour cream but I do like warm cookies and cold milk. I dont smoke, anything and I dont drink much alcohol, yet I can still have a good time. Since this is in some ways a confession I will admit that when I was young I used to run around with a towel tied around my neck pretending I was Superman (I dont do that anymore in case you're wondering.) I have never jumped out of a plane and Ive never hunted anything more than a mouse in my kitchen. I have all my hair, toes, fingers & most of my teeth. I wear glasses. I enjoy dancing but I have to build up my nerve first. Favorite color, orange, Don't like wearing hats, like fountain pens, love Chinese food, reading, writing, long walks, drawing, my guitar, frisbees, day trips, just about anything. My faith is important to me and I hope to find someone who takes it seriously too. So, what am I looking for? To begin with, if you're a woman, great--you're almost there. If you're not, then sorry you'll just have to look elsewhere. I'm not looking for someone to make me laugh or make me happy. I'm looking for some one to share laughter and happiness with. Life is an adventure but who wants to go it alone? Not me, and if you don't want to either then drop me a line. It would be great to hear from you.
  • Don, 65 from Overland Park, KS
    65, Overland Park, KS
I am passionate about roadtrips! I love fishing, travelingKU basketball and weekend drives. I enjoy cooking and gardening as well. A country ride on a motorcycle is better than therapy! I grew up as a Navy brat living in Boston, Virgina, Washington D.C and Morocco. I spent 5 years in the Navy chasing Russion submarines and visiting countries and states from Chile to Singapore to Italy, Spain, Maine and Bermuda. After spending 17 years in sales, I switched careers to Administration and Facilities Management working for the University at the KU Medical Center. I sing in the Choir and one of my most memorable events was a weeklong choir trip to Rome, singing in St. Peters and the other basillica's in Rome. If you are fun loving, comfortable in who you are and where you are going, lets meet and see what transpires.
  • Rick, 60 from Lawrence, KS
    60, Lawrence, KS
I am passionate about my faith. People tell me that I am usually a quiet person. It is not that I am shy, I guess it's because I prefer to listen more than talk - I learn more that way. In my relationship with God I do "talk" to him all the time & he has let me know in his own ways that he has heard me. I am also passionate about my family, we are very close & we take care of each other. I am passionate about music. I taught myself how to play the guitar when I was 13 & I have played ever since. I like to write & sing some of my own songs, I enjoy dancing. I enjoy working on classic cars, a passion I share with my Dad. We work on them together & attend car shows together. My grandmother was the most influential person to me in my life. She lived to be 100 years old & her Catholic faith was very strong all throughout her life. She continued wearing her wedding ring 20 after my grandpa passed away ............... that's the kind of love & commitment that I'm looking for!
  • Steve, 68 from Hesston, KS
    68, Hesston, KS
I am a farm raised baby boomer from north central Kansas. Most of my earlier adult life was involved in some livestock carrier. Army vet, married in 1971, then Carol passed away after 43 years. Now after 30 years hauling heavy equipment for a construction company I consider what will be the next road in life to take. Two classic pickups are relaxing restoration projects, seeing and talking to our kids plus maintaining home and land. Being involved in R.C.I.A, C.C.D,Eucharistic min. and going to shut ins have been very formative to me. Influential people would be my parents and people who seem to wake each new day with a smile of thanksgiving and greet a sunset with a peaceful smile. My wife influenced me in showing one can endure pain and suffering on many levels and still greet another day and people with a warm smile. i am very grateful for these God given people on this road of life.
  • Jim, 73 from Merriam, KS

Ive heard that the first things people notice about me are my smile and my friendly nature. Genuinely down-to-earth, I am very good at finding something to appreciate in practically anyone or any situation. Life is too short to get caught up in taking it so seriously that you forget to have fun. I enjoy spending time with others who feel the same way. I like to go on little weekend trips and hope to someday make it overseas. I especially love learning about history, yet I also enjoy a good ball game or even spending some time reading something spiritually uplifting. Recently retired from a career as a school psychologist, I basically headed outside and never looked back! I decided to volunteer at the Konza Prairie Center (K-State Biology Department) near Manhattan, and after my training, became a docent there. Now I spread my time between several nature centers in the KC metropolitan area. It keeps me busy, healthy, and outdoors enjoying the fresh air, a win on several levels and probably a wise choice because I also enjoy good food.
