49, Olathe, KSI am very dedicated to bringing the best experiences possible to my students, friends, nieces & nephews, and my community! For recreation, I like new experiences, being outside, joking around; reading, and helping others feel happy; Helping others makes me feel creative and alive. I'd like to have someone to take a dance class with. I am a stable man with a stable life--and I am blessed to be supercharged by the great community of St. James Academy that I work for.
56, Victoria, KSThank you for viewing my profile. Sometimes how we see ourselves can be different than how others see us. I will let you decide. I am stable, patient, secure, reserved, diplomatic, congenial, value quality relationships, commited, a good listener, rational , consistent, respectful, practical, an "Anchor of Reality", objective, not impulsive but spontaneous once in a while, honest and sincere, with a sense of humor. I will treat you with dignity and as an equal. I am not afraid of an independent woman.I follow "Grandma's rule"," You can't have dessert until you finish your dinner". I would rather do the difficult things in life first ,and then have the reward. I live in the country on a farm. I raise wheat and forage, and presently don't have any livestock. My goal is to pass the farm on to the next generation, so I am looking for someone to be a best friend and partner who wants to be part of a family farm--someone who has a 'pioneering spirit'. My hobbies and leisure interests include reading ( daily newspaper, Discover, Farm Show, Popular Science, old technical books), travel, walking/hiking, old machinery, educational television( NOVA, This Old House, some movies), alternate energy (this remindes me of the song about "the answer is blowing in the wind....), ect. I take my religion seriously, attend weekly and holy days, and do volunteer work for the church. Have a great day and may life bring you joy in whatever it throws your way. April 2010
53, Wichita, KSI am 53yr old. I am looking for a companion to share conversation with. I would like to get to know someone via e-mailing and possibly meet with later on. I am very easy going and would prefer to meet the same. I guess that you could say that i am a down to earth type person who enjoys simple things, but also likes to get creative too. At this stage in my life I am wanting a relationship with someone who I can share things like travel, nature, and enjoying the simple things in life.
39, Lenexa, KSI am the father of a beautiful little girl. I treasure the time I have with her. I speak to my parents on a daily basis. The teachings of catholicism guide my actions. I work hard, play hard, and enjoy life very much. I am looking for someone with a similar background, similar likes and dislikes, and similar life ambitions.
45, Prairie Village, KSI try to live each day aware and appreciative for all of the positive things in my life. I am especially proud of my young son. After many miscarriages, he's such a joy! A dream come true. We have a very loving relationship which is the result of the love that we have for his mother. My son's mother is a good person who I am trying to successfully co-parent with. As time goes on I have more gratitude for her partnership in raising our son. While our relationship took a direction which led us apart, I have a lot of pride in the quality of friendship which we enjoyed in our marriage. I hope to someday be worthy of the gift of such a friendship again, and am working towards being better prepared by working on my spiritual strength. I like the thought of an opportunity to make a new friendship with a woman or family that would not mind doing kids activities regularly. Time has taught me that things happen for a reason, at the right moment. It will indeed take quite a lady to accept the skeletons in my closet. The door is open though. So I shall remain patient, enjoying what each day brings at this time in our lives. Looking forward to a future of happiness greater than I thought it could ever be. Hoping to find a nice lady to share in life's subtle rewards.
57, Wichita, KSHaving a sense of humor is very important. I'm a very kicked back guy who doesn't like to argue. Life is too short to be in constant drama. I like concerts, plays and working in the yard is great too. I'm a mid western guy with mid western values. I wish everyone good luck on finding the for them!
26, Wichita, KSThe first thing you should know about me is that I am better at communicating with a person than my profile wall. I graduated from The Kansas State University in 2012 and have been fulfilling my dream as an Air Force Pilot. The office view is amazing! In my free time I am either playing with my great dane puppy, working on my house, working out, or sharing time with friends and family. Catholic is who I am and I will never change that, life has had its ups and downs but even with seemingly lack of grace at times, there is a greater plan in the end.
28, Yates Center, KSHi, My name is Jarred, I live in Southeast Kansas and am a consulting geologist in the oil and gas business. Some things that I am passionate about in life include: outdoors activities (fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing), music, my career, and my family. I love to travel and am always up for heading out on a road trip. In my free time I enjoy to relax and watch a little TV, or get outdoors.
46, Mission, KShi I'm Charley, and i am a "unicorn": I'm single, never been married, own my own home, made my mark on the world, and now I'm looking for "the one." I've never been married before because I haven't met "the one" yet. I'm smart enough to know people don't change, so they better be right to begin with so you don't have problems later. Divorce is not an option in my opinion, because if you make vows - you better stick to them and honor them, and not run away just because one of life's challenges pops up. There is a reason they make you say "in sickness and in health" and "for better or worse" in my opinion and it seems to me like people have forgotten why lately. My faith is pretty important to me but I don't go to mass every Sunday, but it is in my thoughts (i'll explain later). And I'm really into my job because i like what i do. Then when we're off work, we meet up somewhere for a cocktail and discuss how our days went while we figure out what we want for dinner. My ideal day: get up on a Saturday morning: cut the grass, water my flowers, and have all my chores done by noon. Then fire up the grill, invite friends over, and enjoy lawn chair life with good friends and food the rest of the day and evening.
33, Salina, KSMy name is John. I am from Salina, KS. I am currently working on my CPA license. I am a hard worker and strive to do the best with my ablilities. In my spare time I love hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, cooking, hanging out with family and friends, plus working in the yard. I also love traveling. Mountains call my name at least once a year and Colorado is my usual go-to. I have ambitions to travel throughout the states as well as out of the country. I am also a sucker for movies. Some of my favorites are: Rocky, Star Wars, Iron Man and Toy Story.
78, Kansas City, KSI have been a math teacher for the last 56 years. Am still teaching part time at the local community college, mainly to have something to do, to keep my brain active, and to have a purpose for getting up each morning and to start moving. Had throat cancer 11 years ago and have been a very active member of SPHONC for the last several years. This is a national organization for the survivors of head and neck cancer. We meet twice / mo. over at K.U. Usually have a guest speaker at one meeting each mo. and then at the latter meeting we simply go around the room letting each person give an update on their condition / treatment / prognosis, etc. This is very helpful for those people who are just starting their journey with cancer or for those who have not yet had surgery. I am in the process of getting my house ready to put on the market and I plan to move into a retirement ctr. of some sort. I do not want to be a burden on any of my family later on. Have been working on my house for a couple of years now. I usually stop by Home Depot every evening and drink their free coffee and chat with the gang. (I spend a lot of money down their on all of my different projects,...) Have been a widower about 3 years now and just starting to feel comfortable with being alone BUT, at times still miss dining out, taking in a movie or a stage presentation, or simply a walk on the Plaza. (We use to do a lot of that.) My late wife and I use to eat out at least 2 - 3 times / wk. In 40+ years we probably taste-tested most of the finer restaurants in all of Kansas City. One of my favorite spots was the New Dinner Playhouse over off of Metcalf around 90th. We had season tickets over there for many many years with another couple of very dear friends who are also not with us any more. I truly miss that place at times; it held such fond memories. Great food + a live performance always made for an enjoyable evening out. All of my leisure time is spent working on the house, cleaning my car (at least 2 - 3 times / wk.), stopping by Home Depot, going to the college. I also take as many self improvement classes as I can. These range from home improvement / computer / iphone classes over at the Apple Store, etc. Am very conservative in my politics and I usually tape O'reilly, Hannity, Megyn Kelly, etc. each evening and then play them back later when I have time. I also take in a lot of movies. Usually try to stay up to date on all the latest popular ones.
42, Topeka, KSWell, I hate speaking of myself. I would much rather listen and learn about others than talk about myself. Professionally, I am in public service. Specifically public safety. I have attended many advanced training programs in the forensic sciences. Most recently at St. Louis University. I enjoy working to help others and being there for them during difficult or trying times. Serving others is quite rewarding and humbling.
