55, Murray, KY
I was born and raised Roman Catholic and I strongly subscribe to the current liberation theology and humanism of the current Pope (Francis) and the Jesuits. I do not subscribe to the idea that science and religion cannot coexist. Throughout the history of both endeavors each has displayed a very dynamic and intellectual process of growth based on reasonable self-examination. There on zealots of the absolute in both science, or more properly technology and religion, especially fundamentalism.
I enjoy many things but tennis, sci-fi films/books, and music (Blues, Prog-Rock, Jazz and Rock Instrumental, especially), reading philosophy (Nietzsche, Peter Singer, Robert C. Solomn, Irving Singer, Post-Modernism, Existentialism, etc.), science, fiction (Hermann Hesse, Tolkien, Sturgeon, Silverberg, Arthur C. Clarke, and so many more), and bicycling and my most preferred activities.
