70, Baton Rouge, LAI'm a small town, South La. Catholic Cajun who decided he would come to the big city and become a success. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and then went to the LSU Law Center. I was admitted to the practice of law in 1973 and have been in private practice in Baton Rouge, La since then. I married in 1985 and we had 2 children, a son aged 21 and a daughter aged 19. My daughter has brought me a granddaughter who was born in December, 2007. Hopefully, my daughter will graduate from McKinley in May, 2010. She was attending Lee High, but it's closing. My son is a graduate of Lee High and Texas Culinary Academy in Austin, TX and now lives in Austin. Shortly after our 18th wedding anniversary, I discovered my wife's problems with the internet...guys far more exciting and younger than me...and she wanted those guys more than me. We divorced in August, 2004. All in all, my life is good with my children and grandchild.

68, Baton Rouge, LAWe should make each day count, use the gifts God has given us, and avoid looking to the past and understand God has forgiven us, look to tomorrow, and truly believe He will never forsake you. Personally I have always felt comfort within the Catholic Church..childhood churchgoing,.1st and 2nd communion, Confirmation, religion classes, the mass, and marriage. For years a lukewarm parishoner, i have rededicated myself and received more than expected and blessed each day.Would enjoy spending time with a friend: Times like :Travel, playing tennis, dancing, fishing, collecting from flea mkts. and antique shops, the Great outdoors(esp. the BEACH),dining, watching movies, enjoying times with friends and family....

I also enjoy going to the movies and on occasion going to the casino (not a compulsive gambler} I also enjoy visiting friends and relatives I enjoy the simple things in life but would like to meet a nice lady who might share my values
82, New Iberia, LAJust a note about myself, I am considered to be more on the conservative side, a non-exposed type who has lived a bountiful and humbled life. I have reared 13 children. 10 boys and 3 girls who have become the heart and soul of my life. I guess one would considered to be my pride and joy. I as well am the grandfather of 40 grandchildren and 20 plus (stopped counting, lol) great grandchildren. I live a quiet life not completely use to the dating scene....but willing to meet and enjoy someones company. ..I was married 49 years in which i considered bless. I love being around people but depending the situation not a huge talker. I enjoy dancing, gardening , build bird houses. I mostly enjoy just sitting back and watching the closeness of my children and all families members, extended as well, and enjoy each other when we are all together...I have 8 siblings as well, so you can see I have had family around all my life so if i had to say anything of great importance of myself is that i have always been a family man with a strong Catholic background.....I am very simple and enjoy the little things of life but I am at a point that I want to extend myself and come out of my comfort zone and meet others of my peers and do things...I would love to travel and experience things out side of the rim of what I am use to...I know it will be a huge change but at this point in my life I am excited about making this decision to step out and meet someone who loves life, and who shares in a strong family bond with their family as I do...I am a believe we all have seasons in our lives and at some point in which it calls us to experience life as it stands in front of us at this point in time.....I especially enjoy watching the my grandkids who bring so much laughter and character to a room....I guess in summary I am a adorable, loveable, kind and gentle soul. I only know one way of life and thats living it in a honest and loyal way. I am willing to enjoy new things and looking forward to meeting someone who shares in a common interest or who may just be willing to take a chance on someone who is putting himself out there and new to this site. Many Blessings to all
68, Baton Rouge, LAI am a Louisiana native and 68 years old. I am a veteran who served during the Vietnam era. I am a widower. My late wife and I were married for 46 blessed years and we loved each other dearly. We never had any children and therefore I don't have anyone left except distant nieces and nephews. If you are reading my profile and have children, I would welcome yours. I enjoy simple things in life, like cooking, fishing, yard work and growing vegetables on an amateur basis. I attend first Tuesday of the month Novena Mass and each Saturday Mass at 4 PM. For a part of my days I do watch the news, especially the financial ones. I am now at a point in my life where I have asked myself a lot of hard questions. My faith in the Good Lord has made me realize all that I have been given by Him and I give Him thanks for all that I have. I am the most thankful to Him for my late wife and our marriage for all those years. My wife passed away a year and a half ago, and I feel that I should now begin to seek someone and know she would want me to do that. I would have wanted the same for her if I had gone first. I am retired and very financially secure. I have two homes and have just resolved some legal issues on the second one I will ultimately move there. The one I have in Baton Rouge was in the record flood. I am navigating its repairs now. I will sell it when it is ready. I consider myself a regular looking fellow, not fat, thin on top, and have experienced mileage (LOL) aka some wear and tear. Been wearing eyeglasses pretty much since grade school. I am also a cancer survivor. My plans for the short term are to focus on my second home and get it repaired after winning a legal battle on its construction defects. I will begin to do some more fishing. Louisiana has been very blessed with this resource. Much of this very good fishing is within a short drive from both of my homes. I do sneak in a game of racquetball once or twice a week and shoot regularly on a billiards league team with APA. I am also an active Parrothead Club member. For those that never heard of the Parrothead term, we are dedicated fans of Jimmy Buffett and that style music. If you are interested in messaging me please do so. i would welcome your messages. With common interests and getting to know each other over time, hopefully one day she and i would fall in love and would finish our days together. p.s. cooking alone sucks!
