68, Baton Rouge, LAWe should make each day count, use the gifts God has given us, and avoid looking to the past and understand God has forgiven us, look to tomorrow, and truly believe He will never forsake you. Personally I have always felt comfort within the Catholic Church..childhood churchgoing,.1st and 2nd communion, Confirmation, religion classes, the mass, and marriage. For years a lukewarm parishoner, i have rededicated myself and received more than expected and blessed each day.Would enjoy spending time with a friend: Times like :Travel, playing tennis, dancing, fishing, collecting from flea mkts. and antique shops, the Great outdoors(esp. the BEACH),dining, watching movies, enjoying times with friends and family....
78, Mandeville, LAI deeply enjoy family life and helping to make it a a place of love and support where each member can grow to be more fully the people they are. God must be foremost in the family and the family can help all its members grow in love and service of others and in love for God. I enjoy sharing in family events and activities with friends. I enjoy all outdoor activities--running, biking, gardening, etc. Growing in our faith and love for God and others is integral to all I do. My health is excellent and I enjoy being physically active and exercise most days running, health club workouts, grass cutting, gardening, biking, nature hikes, etc. My Catholic faith has been an integral part of my life. I want to continue to live our faith with God's grace as fully as I can. That is why I have come to Catholic Match.

62, Ponchatoula, LALove to spend time outdoors. Fishing has become my new number one hobby. I share a fishing camp with me three brothers and I seem the most happy when I have a fishing pole in my hands. I also enjoy using my hand to create things. Having once been a building contractor I stay busy around the house and camping making improvements and keeping things tidy.
73, Thibodaux, LAFirst & foremost I am Catholic that lives W/ Mother 93, I run her religious store in Thib./HOP. I ail according to her I cant see, hear, do right, forgetful, lazy, and have a speech impediment I dont speak loud enough. last but not least I have lead in my as*. I didnt know I was sick. Now worried, I went see Dr. Chassion & he told me all my ailments. He being my moms Dr. also was best Dr. to help me. He told me to take 2 aspen & call Mom in the morning and hell He was right I was cured. I started to thank God but latter found it was only a temporary cure. Hell I fixed this problem I change Doctors. Does any one out there know a GOOD Dr.? I am a retired carpenter who stills enjoy working the trade when needed. The motor-vater has a weak starter but works fine after starting. My first past time is fishing as little as it is. Im probably the best fisherman in the world not by what I catch, but the enjoyment I received. I enjoy good friends and conversation, with both men & women usually in the stores back kitchen. Together we solved the entire worlds problems including food hunger war & panics, sorry to say we have not solved the Us political situation. We leave that one to Him the Father. My friends would say, Im a friendly out going person easy to get alone with, but strongly opinionated in maters of Faith. I have an average body weight 190 lbs, 5 8, 42 chest, 38-40 waist, & look no better or no worst than any 72 yr old. My heart still melts with the 60 70 music & I think a lot of it, is because the memories it brings backto me. God knows I enjoy it. At these times I feel at peace and this helps me feel humble & thankful. As to what days I think would be best for us to meet, is a simple one before my funeral? What super power I would like most would be the same as a boy finding a bottle on the beach and is given 3 wishes. My first wish would be smart, (from now on, every thing I wish for would be granted and I reserved the right to hold you to the other 2 wishes). I do not believe in stupid wishes like 3 men on an Island (where the first 2 wish to be home & the third says Im lonely I wish my friends back.) Duh! The 5 people I would most like to be with can change from moment to moment and front reason to reason so. Ill wait & discuss it with you, hoping we can agree or enjoy disagreeing. A prefect date is when they feel comfort in each other & enjoy each other no matter where they are.
71, Avondale, LAI am 70 years old and have been widowed since 2015 (married 46 years) Retired 2011 and wife and I only had one year to enjoy retirement before she became ill. I am a commissioned reserve police officer since 1995 and continue to work in that capacity a few days a week or as needed. This job keeps me active both physically and mentally. The most influential people in my life were my parents and grandparents. We were extremely poor but my entire family had tremendous work ethic and a very strong catholic belief. As a result of this type of upbringing I was able to succeed in life At the present time I work an average of 3 days a week, sometimes more if necessary. In my leisure time I enjoy going to the gym for l 2 or 3 times a week. I also enjoy going to the movies and on occasion going to the casino (not a compulsive gambler} I also enjoy visiting friends and relatives I enjoy the simple things in life but would like to meet a nice lady who might share my values
68, Baton Rouge, LAI am a Louisiana native and 68 years old. I am a veteran who served during the Vietnam era. I am a widower. My late wife and I were married for 46 blessed years and we loved each other dearly. We never had any children and therefore I don't have anyone left except distant nieces and nephews. If you are reading my profile and have children, I would welcome yours. I enjoy simple things in life, like cooking, fishing, yard work and growing vegetables on an amateur basis. I attend first Tuesday of the month Novena Mass and each Saturday Mass at 4 PM. For a part of my days I do watch the news, especially the financial ones. I am now at a point in my life where I have asked myself a lot of hard questions. My faith in the Good Lord has made me realize all that I have been given by Him and I give Him thanks for all that I have. I am the most thankful to Him for my late wife and our marriage for all those years. My wife passed away a year and a half ago, and I feel that I should now begin to seek someone and know she would want me to do that. I would have wanted the same for her if I had gone first. I am retired and very financially secure. I have two homes and have just resolved some legal issues on the second one I will ultimately move there. The one I have in Baton Rouge was in the record flood. I am navigating its repairs now. I will sell it when it is ready. I consider myself a regular looking fellow, not fat, thin on top, and have experienced mileage (LOL) aka some wear and tear. Been wearing eyeglasses pretty much since grade school. I am also a cancer survivor. My plans for the short term are to focus on my second home and get it repaired after winning a legal battle on its construction defects. I will begin to do some more fishing. Louisiana has been very blessed with this resource. Much of this very good fishing is within a short drive from both of my homes. I do sneak in a game of racquetball once or twice a week and shoot regularly on a billiards league team with APA. I am also an active Parrothead Club member. For those that never heard of the Parrothead term, we are dedicated fans of Jimmy Buffett and that style music. If you are interested in messaging me please do so. i would welcome your messages. With common interests and getting to know each other over time, hopefully one day she and i would fall in love and would finish our days together. p.s. cooking alone sucks!
65, Breaux Bridge, LABeing a former Marine shapes my entire outlook on life. My core beliefs center around duty, God, and country. I devoted 32 years of my life to my country. I'm very passionate about the United States, its people, and its Constitution. As far as leisure time I enjoy reading all manner of things, listening to music (primarily classical), working out, and messing around with computers. I also love nature and hiking, the sea (SCUBA diving and sailing), and learning more about survival. Also love to travel (my Dad always said I had itchy feet!). I look forward to continuing to learn and expand my knowledge for the rest of my life. The same goes for my faith in God and Christ. Most folks who know me well describe me as stoical. A close friend once gave me a framed quote by French philosopher Albert Camus which read: "Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend." Very apt description of me. Also if you're familiar with the Myers Briggs personality test I'm an INFP usually labelled the Crusader. Like Don Quixote I often enjoy tilting at windmills! I enjoy humor and levity. My own brand of humor tends to be of the dry, sometimes teasing variety. I'm a mischief maker and enjoy pulling pranks from time-to-time. I also have a domesticated side in that I love being at home part of the time. I know my way around the kitchen and enjoy helping out there. Also know how to clean house and regularly devote myself to keeping things shipshape. In many ways I'm a Renaissance man as I know a lot about many subjects and am conversant in them. I enjoy stimulating conversation, discussions, and debates. Given my beliefs I'd probably have been more at home in 18th century America.
