I was born and raised in Maine. I'm a software developer, a volunteer and co-founder of a small nonprofit, and a recently graduated grad student. I love music, being outdoors, sports and trying to learn everything there is to know. Looking for someone who's intelligent, kind and devoted to the Catholic faith. I think of myself as a sincere, genuine person. I can't imagine life without music. I used to play the saxophone, I have a guitar that mostly collects dust, and am currently attempting to become a drummer! Attempting. I need lessons. Badly. I'm a self-professed computer geek. I work as a software developer, and recently finished my Masters in Computer Science. I'm perpetually curious and am always trying to understand everything about everything. This sometimes means that my version of a conversation is rapid-firing questions (I try to control myself). I love stand-up comedy and laughing at people in general. I try my best to make other people laugh, but I'm also living proof that listening to comedians will not necessarily turn you into one. Last year a few of my friends and I started a nonprofit to support community and economic development in our hometown in Maine, and it's been one of the most rewarding things I've ever been a part of. It started fairly small, but recently took a rather large leap. It's taken some time and effort, but is actually a lot of fun and hopefully will make some impact. So, between work, school and volunteering, I guess I keep myself busy enough to stay out of trouble. Finally, I love being outdoors. I grew up in the north woods of Maine, and the mountains and lakes were always a big part of my life. I actually don't get outdoors enough these days now that I'm in the booming metropolis of Portland, so I would love to find someone who likes hiking, kayaking, camping or doing anything outside. OK, that's the best I could do in 2500 characters or less, so feel free to send me a message if you'd like to chat!

I can be shy at first but once I get to know someone I open right up. I was born and raised Catholic. I was home schooled then went to a technical school for HVAC/R. I am currently working full time in Portland for a plumbing and heating outfit and saving for the future. I enjoy being outdoors in my spare time and either riding or fixing anything with a motor. I'm a kind hearted patient guy looking for a sweet woman to share my life with.

Hello. My name is Ahmed. Never sure how to talk about myself. I've never married and have no children. I would like a wife and family of my own. I want to have children. If you have children, I would welcome them. I am heavily involved in my community and serve on several Town Committees. In my spare time I read, listen to music, suntan on the beach, or cook. I am recovering from a stroke from 2005. I am improving, slowly. I no longer drive which can be a turn off for some. I have been out of the dating scene for awhile. I am looking for someone who is kind, patient, has professional goals, family orientated.
  • Russell, 66 from Arundel, ME
    66, Arundel, ME
I live an active life; family, work, outdoors, spiritual life. Family focused, I have two grown daughters and a granddaughter who I love spending time with. Spiritual life is a central part of my life, am blessed to be part of a very supportive church community. Friends say I am quiet and easy going. They are probably right, they know me best. I am a skier, road biker, hiker, kayaker, and other things that get me outside. My primary indoor activity is woodworking, enjoy building furniture. I am pretty good at it, ( I still have all of my fingers). Looking forward to some new adventures and, God willing, perhaps someone to share them with.
  • James, 49 from Madawaska, ME
    49, Madawaska, ME
A widower who's trying to adjust to a new life with two teenage sons my oldest has special needs both are the joy of my heart. Trying to rediscover my old hobbies such as photography and doing historical reenactments. I have learned many things these past twenty years one is no matter the ups or downs trust in God's plan which to me is similar to a high-wire act with no safety net. Must tell you up front, my late wife had suffered all her life from a long illness, but if you had met her, you would have found the most generous soul with such empathy that despite her suffering was always in a cheerful disposition always thought of others before herself. She inspired me every day even though I still feel so unworthy to have been her husband. Back then before the last two years of her life before the prescription medication killed her, Deana was a fighter. You see Deana, and I had two sons our oldest son was vaccine injured that left him on the autism spectrum. When our son with autism was about 2 and a half, he went from developing normally to just shutting down. For the first year, our son struggled. Deana had gone to school wanting to be a special ed teacher way back in the late 80's early 90's. During this time Deana did her best to learn about autism, but services were so hard to come by where we live in Maine back then. Deana knew some things about special ed law and what state agency to tap on for help. With all this taking care of our son's needs and her health wore her, so it obliged me which was my cross to stay home to help take care of her and to help look after our son. Deana got disability, and I did some online retail.

I love to carve and build boats and as weird as it may sound I love to work, I even lobster on Saturdays from July to November. I read a lot in my spare time, mainly history books and as of right now I have 5 books going.
