I took a break from this site to get adjusted to my new job in Mars Hill, ME. I work as an accounts payable specialist and I really like it a lot. I feel well adjusted to it now, and I feel like I should give this site another try.I'd consider myself very open minded overall. I love sports, and follow New England/Boston professional teams, and I also love all sorts of music. I am a good listener and a loyal friend with a sense of humor. I'm also very close with my family as they and my friends are the most important things in my life.

I'm new to this site. I'm an outgoing white guy, works hard during the week and live alone up here in Maine for about 5 years. I haven't met with anybody to do things with as of yet for leisure time and I certainly hope to find someone of my own interests. I'm a member of Knights of Columbus for over a year now and served and helped so much for the community and did quite alot to help out our community. I'm a secretary for Knights of Columbus working really hard to up keep the records and meeting minutes reports to update all of the activities we did and are doing. I was hoping to meet someone with my own interests with a male to help work together as a team member of the Knights and catholic religion. I learned Polish and Russian language for two and a half years, studied Russian language in writing including speaking it as well. I'm currently working for the US NAVY cleaning federal buildings twice a week. I like it! It's a nice place to work by the ocean.

  • Jeff, 45 from Portland, ME

I am a person who loves a challenge, to learn new things, to play, laugh, and have good conversations. My experience as a university professor was one of my biggest challenges (fear of public speaking), but God showed me that teaching was where I would come alive and help the most people. I can honestly say I love going to work everyday, but I will put God and family first before work every time. When I am not at work I am usually with friends at the coffee shop drinking my favorite tea, laughing or crying over a good movie, singing in the choir or in the car, or discussing scripture with my local faith community. My favorite activity is weight training, but I like to learn new activities each year (I like to dance, but would need a patient partner). Sports and outdoor activities are passions of mine. I love watching and attending sporting events, but I would give up watching my favorite sporting event in an instance to spend time with that person who may be that person God has planned for me in marriage.
  • Isaac, 29 from Durham, ME
    29, Durham, ME
Hey, I'm Isaac. I'm 29 years old, and I'm looking for a good Catholic woman to have a close friendship with, and if it goes somewhere, a relationship with. It's difficult for me to describe myself because I know all my own faults..but people say I'm authentic, kind, smart, funny most of the time, serious at times too. I have a generous heart towards others, especially children. I love all my nieces and nephews as if they were my own children. I'm really into the outdoors and most activities associated with it. I enjoy camping, fishing, target shooting, cutting/splitting firewood, gardening, working up a sweat doing something useful, etc. I'm interested in Farming, probably as a supplemental income. I enjoy living in the country, where there are not too many people or buildings or noise. I keep to myself often, but i enjoy visitors and good company. My Catholic faith is a big part of my life, and I try to not only just practice the faith but LIVE it through my words and actions. I survived an accident in January of 2015 that could have very likely killed me, and I, of course, owe my recovery to God because He was the one who got me through it. God is Good. I've tried CatholicMatch before and it hadn't worked out. But it's all in God's time, of course, and i would say the timing wasn't right. First and foremost, I love the idea of having Family. From my discernment, I've come to believe that the most fruitful way to use my talents and gifts would be in marriage and fatherhood. It's really my biggest desire to be a husband and have kids. But with that said, I know that a good marriage starts with a solid friendship. One reason this site hadn't worked well for me in the past, I think, was because neither I or the young women i went on dates with were approaching it from the right perspective. I wish to first build a solid friendship with a young woman I'm attracted to in order to discern a serious relationship with her. But I'm also not opposed to something spontaneous if the situation seems right! I'm open to relocating within the US for a time, but I love Maine and wish to raise a family here. I'm trying to keep my ears and mind open to what God wants of me. But I'm pretty firm in my desires as well...I'm working on discovering a balance of those two things. I think God is calling me to expand my search outside of driving distance, for instance, but I also desire to live my life/raise a family here in Maine, as i already mentioned.

  • Greg, 37 from Westbrook, ME
    37, Westbrook, ME
I was born and raised in Portland, attending both St. Patrick's School and Cheverus High School. After spending close to 8 years working in Washington, DC I returned to Maine to do some advocacy work. I've been the Portland area Field Agent for the Knights of Columbus since June 2013. I am a bit of a workaholic, and haven't had much time to date, which is why I'm here. I am also a member of the Cheverus Alumni Council. Between those two time commitments, I try to find time for friends and family. I'm the youngest of five (3 older brothers and an older sister). I'm a floater in terms that I don't belong specifically to one Parish, although St. Pius would be the closest. Given my role with the KofC, Cheverus, and my upbringing, my faith plays and has played, a central part of my life. I am very close with my parents and siblings, whom I try to see every 3 months or so. It is more difficult with all of us living at least one hour away from each other. I enjoy sports, both attending events in person or following the Boston sports teams games live on TV, history, sightseeing, and cooking. I'm an average cook but can surprise people from time to time. I've been very blessed to come from the family I do, especially to have the parents I do. They truly were two of the leaders at the old St. Patrick's Church. I'm looking for that person who will truly be my partner in life - my best friend. My parents have been married for 58 years and have the healthiest of any relationship I've seen. Growing up in my family we often joke with each other and I find laughter to be a great outlet, especially in one's most challenging times. But definitely looking for someone to grow with, to spend my time with, share my faith with, and hopefully, marry and start and grow a family with. While I've built a pretty solid work resume, the two roles I want to succeed in the most are those of husband and father.
