61, Savage, MDI'm an engineering type that likes to enjoy life. I enjoy most any outdoor activities, and not in front of a TV. I like to travel and explore new places, and like most types of food. I'm easy going and my friends say that I am very patient. I generally get along great with kids.
62, Essex, MDYes, we all just hate this part of introducing ourselves in print ..... so here goes! Firstly, growing up Catholic, religion has always been a part of my life, and I know God it out there with us. I attend church religiously, pun intended, every week that I am physically able, and try to treat others with courtesy and respect, and as God intended for us to do. About myself, I would say that I am a person with many good qualities by which I live: easy-going, friendly & pleasant personality, excellent sense of humor, good character, honest, honorable, ethical, level-headed, intelligent, respectful, courteous, healthy, and reasonably fit. I come from a small family, so I value family and friends. I'm from the "old school" Catholic education, with conservative thinking and morals, so I have those old fashioned values. I am seeking a mutually strong foundation of friendship, potentially leading to a long term relationship with a woman of similar goals. My interests are varied, but mainly include photography, ham radio, target shooting, and slowly getting into woodworking. . I am single and never married, no children, and free to marry within the Church should things come to that level; non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol abuse. I am also fairly recently retired from the rat race, having taken the plunge into work-free freedom as of Jan. 1, 2015, a sort of birthday gift to myself.
62, Baltimore, MDLife begins to change a little when your son goes off to college, although he is not that far away. I enjoy my career in international banking, which has exposed me to Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Although I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively, I appreciate living in the Towson - Baltimore area, which is where I grew up. I have 2 brothers with their families living in the area as well. I enjoy sports and keeping active: running, cycling, swimming as well as work aroun d the house. I am friendly, trustworthy and loyal but a little reserved at first. I enjoy movies, all types of music (thanks in part to my musician son), live concerts, theatre and all the seasons. I have a sweet cockapoo.
61, Catonsville, MDI am a single catholic male, 51, looking to meet a woman who is interested in a long term relationship leading to marriage. I have a college degree, and after working 23 years in the criminal justice system, I took early retirement due to the stress of the job. I have been trained as a certified mediator, and now volunteer a few hours a week as a consumer protection mediator. I am also employed part time in library administration now. So I'm getting a chance for second careers and hopefully will find something I really enjoy. I'm also looking to have fun and enjoy life doing things and am hoping to find that woman to enjoy my life with.
71, Frederick, MDI consider myself as average to slightly above average looking, have most of my hair. I like most types of music but especially 50's, 60's, rock and roll and Irish music from Celtic Woman to Enya to the "rebel" type. I also am honest to a fault. I enjoy most foods, except Indian. I consider myself fairly easy going and easy to get along with. My humor runs from dry to slapstick and everything in between. I lector at my church twice a month. I am a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick, Maryland which is one of the oldest Catholic Churches in Maryland. This is/was hard for me to do, i.e., talk about myself.
61, Point Of Rocks, MDI am blessed. Work, church, home, athleticism, learning, and family are all things I treasure. Retire? Not me - the work I do is too exciting. Church involvement? - I'm a RCIA facilitator, and it's the most personally rewarding thing I do. Move? Preferably not - but it would become our home, not just mine . Exercise? Absolutely - in my home gym or outdoors almost daily. Learn? I'm an avid reader - science, history, theology, philosophy. Old fashioned? Wherever the "old" fashion is still a better fashion, then yes I am ;-) . I'm a gentleman and I am seeking the lady who will do me the honor of becoming my wife. How about "...a day in the life..."? Sometimes I write letters. And I like listening to music; I seem to have XM or a CD on a lot, whether at home, work, or in the car. I like a very wide range of music. I enjoy looking at art...paintings, drawings photography, especially...very often I check Fine Art America to see what people have uploaded that day, or run various keywords to see what art comes up from them. Dancing? I love it...all forms...but I'm an awful dancer still yet because I keep quitting lessons for want of a partner to regularly practice with. I like eating good food of various ethnicity, but have not found time or skills for "gourmet" cooking by myself. I do "simple" cooking each night, always pretty healthy and organic, but also allow occasional "McMeals" (I like their fries and smoothies !). After many years of not reading much, I went to grad school and became a pretty avid reader...non-fiction, mostly science, history, theology, philosophy...I read only a couple magazines regularly...the Economist and a car magazine, liked Wilson Quarterly before it stopped print. For a middle-aged, work-a-day guy, I am pretty athletic, and have been for many years, although moving here to the long commutes of the DC area has made it much harder to stay active. I regularly work out at home and at a fitness club. My daily work commute involves two miles of walking, in all weather. I used to snow ski and rollerblade a lot back West, and was pretty good at both. But, I have had trouble getting back into either one here. So now I bike ride instead, mostly on the C&O towpath, typically at a fairly quick, fitness-aimed pace, but not so psychotic about it that I would ruthlessly leave a "soulmate" behind ( ;) ...or, maybe you're one who will have to wait up for me!). Nor do I pass on a nice spot to stop and enjoy the surroundings.
66, Davidsonville, MDMy passions are family, friends and faith. I am missing a partner with whom to share my life. My father has had the most influence in my life. Dad taught me to be dependable and always deliver more than you promise and never promise what you can't deliver. I enjoy sports, broadway shows, travelling, and dining at nice restaurants.
64, Clarksburg, MDHi, and thank you for reading my profile. First, I have a medium to large frame / build (need to lose some weight and I am working at it), but was very athletic and participated in various sports for a lot of years. I'm open to discussing my varied sports interests and see what we have in common. I'm a 33 year employee in U. S. government agencies; have A Master's degree in Community Planning from the University of Maryland; and I live in Clarksburg, MD and work in Germantown, MD. Also, I have an extroverted personality (ENFJ), and I am very comfortable with meeting new people. Also, I am accepting of other persons' beliefs and values. I enjoy being romantic, planning romantic outings, giving and getting surprises, and value couple time, when and where it is appropriate, and I am with the right woman. My hobbies / interests include: woodworking; snow skiing; the beach and other water activities (e.g., sailing and SCUBA diving); movies / TV (various types of movies / programs); Open Wheel (i.e., Indy or Formula 1) and Vintage Car racing; Corvettes and Porsches; investments; science and engineering (nature and environmental documentaries, oceanography, etc.) computer hardware, software, and other technology; reading; Sci-Fi and space / astronomy; Sudoku; gemstones and gemological information; and Warner Brothers / Looney Tunes cartoon characters (e.g., the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote). My online life includes searching for: first and foremost --- a woman friend and eventual partner; investment and business information; computer and technology, and scientific information; woodworking information, news and other information, genealogy and history information, and various other interests --- more to talk about with you.
73, Nottingham, MDCome fly with me! I am full Sicilian and the youngest of 5. I retired from US Airways in 2000 from the Customer Service Department at BWI and have lifelong flying benefits with them. Now that the company is combined with American Airlines, flying to any destination in the world is a possibility and I desire to share this benefit with a special lady. I love football and am a Ravens fan with the former Baltimore Colts still glued to my heart! I also enjoy baseball, traveling, going to the beach, music especially big band and oldies and enjoy slow dancing, the jitterbug especially fast, and the cha-cha; I like a few of the line dances- the original electric slide and booty call. I love steamed crabs. I enjoy the ocean in the summer to watch the sunrise. I am a veteran and have served in Germany where I have been to the real Okterbofest 3 times and desire to go again with that special someone. I have been to France, England, Ireland, Italy and several states including the Grand Canyon. I love the warm weather. My father was a self-taught Sicilian on the mandolin and made each of us 5 siblings learn an instrument; he had me learn the piano of which I attended the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore Preparatory Department at the same time as high school, but did not graduate from Peabody; instead, I chose to graduate from high school, the Baltimore City College. Attending both schools was too much for me. In my teen years I taught myself the accordion and I am able to play a little on the saxophone, clarinet, and trumpet. I am an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus and am active with the organization at Columbus Gardens in Parkville, MD. I volunteer at their bingo and I enjoy attending their social events. I am a Knight of Columbus 4th Degree and enjoy dressing in a tuxedo to participate in their Honor Guard. I especially love to march in two Italian festivals that are held in Little Italy, MD for St. Leo's Church- the St. Anthony Festival and the St. Gabriel Festival. I also enjoy going to the July-August movies in Little Italy. I am a night owl but will be an early bird if need be especially to get on an early airplane ride for a vacation. I miss having that special lady next to me and enjoying watching movies and TV together snuggling with each other and keeping each other warm especially during cold winter days and nights. I enjoy watching biography movies especially the old black and white historical and any true events.
