I’m being asked to describe myself. Well, what I can do is tell you how I view myself and how I hope the world sees me. That would be as a very genuine, caring and down to earth man whose Catholic faith is an essential part of his life. I'm known to be open with my feelings, very loving, sensitive and close to my family and friends. I stay active and take good care of myself, physically, mentally and spiritually. I love doing all those fun things associated with DC…exploring restaurants, restaurants, going to wine tastings, Wolf Trap, Kennedy Center, Annapolis, Old Town, the zoo, museums. I enjoy biking down Rock Creek, hiking and picnics in Great Falls, taking in a show at the National or Warner Theatres and going to concerts at Merriweather. I also do enjoy sports, as I have season tickets for the Redskins and am also a big Caps and Terps fan. (U. MD Grad here!) I am quite multifaceted in my interests…just as comfy at an elegant dinner party as I am shooting pool at a dive. Can easily sip a glass of fine Merlot at a nice restaurant or hang out and watch a game at a sports bar. I also like the quiet evenings at home. Just staying in and cooking dinner (and yes, I CAN cook pretty well), watching a movie and cuddling. And as for romance, well, I love it. I am extremely affectionate when I am with someone that I care about. Love to hold hands, hug, kiss, play with hair and snuggle. I believe that that is one of the best ways to express yourself—to tell someone you think they are special. Can you appreciate a guy who is a true gentleman-who is clean cut, well mannered, respectful of other, slightly sophisticated…but loves to have fun too?!

I have learned over the years that the most important experiences in life are those that refresh your spirit and bring you insight into the greater world. I have also learned that God's most important lessons are often learned through the challenges he gives us in life. So where to start about me. I grew up in Silver Spring, in a great family of 6 kids and mom and dad. A regular Brady Bunch:) That would have made me Peter (the middle son, fourth overall). Our parents raised us conscientiously Catholics (Catholic grade schools and high schools). College for me was the Univ of Maryland (go Terps!). Our father died young (59). I was only 24 at the time, so my 20s where spent either preparing for his death (he had cancer for a long time beforehand), or dealing with the impacts of his loss to me and our mom and sibs. My 30s started out great by going away to grad school. It was the best decision of my life (almost 20 yrs ago now!). It wasn't until I was 42 that, through the grace of God, I realized that I had unfinished grief over losing my father all those years before. That was 8 years ago now and my life is completely different now. Since then, I have volunteered to help others who have recently lost family members process their grief in a healthy, supportive way. At the same time, I have become more and more involved in my sister, Kathleen's life. She is moderately developmentally disabled. When our mom was alive (she died 3 yrs ago at 80!), mom was Kathleen's primary guardian. However over the years before our mom died, I became increasingly more involved. When our mom passed away, Kathleen became primarily my responsibility. Through God's grace, she has a great life, living in a supported group home. I see her every Saturday and Sunday for swimming and mass respectively. Over the same time/years, I have gotten to know and become formally involved in several foundations/charities that support the developmental disabilities community. I truly love spending time with my sister and her friends, as they are truly God's children without sin (who could ask for more than to has friends who never sin!). They bring out the best in me, so I know they are God's gift to us all.

I come from a big Irish Catholic Family. I have a strong network of close friends. They are very important to me. I have three kid's...ages 18,16 and 11. I very much enjoy being with them. I'm a native Washingtonian. I have to make more time to play golf which I like very much. I love food espec. going out to restaurants. Love pizza and desserts including ice cream. I follow the Redskins closely and some college sports including football and basketball. I go to a few college games a year. I went to Georgetown Prep for high school and I catch about a half dozen of their basketball games in the winter and most of their football games. I coached CYO Basketball for many years. I have two partners and we invent and develop t.v. exercise machines with most of them being "ab machines." I set goals and work hard but like to take time to have fun espec. on the weekends. I would like to think that I am creative. I love quick trips to the local beaches for the weekends.I find them to be good stress busters. Also enjoy going to New York and places like the Homestead. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons.I'm not crazy about winter but the Holidays, NFL Playoffs/Superbowl, March Madness and the Masters help get me through the winters faster. I like to get out with my friends at least once a week to keep my sanity. My favorite music is old R&B hits, Motown, Jazz and 70's music. Mass and prayer are important to me. I love to laugh and to make people laugh.

I love my family, animals, flying, and a good cup of coffee. I really have a lot of outside interests. My mind is pretty open. Parents, Popes and Ronald Reagan Leisure time would include anything with family.

My faith is important to me and I would like to find someone with similar values. Although I am quiet at first, I quickly open up with good people. My friends would say that I have a big heart and a dry sense of humor. I would like to find someone who is outgoing, fun, intelligent, and kind.

I've been Catholic my whole life and just haven't found the girl I'm called to be with. I work in software design and am looking forward to being able to have a family to support- in the faith and financially.

If I had my way, life would be a Musical. Spontaneous dance and song numbers, happy endings for everyone, and, of course, the great truth that singing to someone makes them fall in love with you. Obviously that's not the way things work, but we can always live our lives trying to make things a bit more Musical. Hey there, my name is Roger. If I had to describe myself, I would say that I'm funny, honest, intelligent, dedicated, hard-working, organized, and big-hearted. I'm an introvert by disposition, but an extrovert by training. My Myers-Briggs is ISTJ. My interests are many and varied, but I can rattle off a few here. One big hobby of mine is singing: while my first love is musical theater, I'm an amateur operatic baritone and perform in that genre frequently (8-10 shows under my belt at this time). I also cantor at my parish. Another hobby of mine is games, of any variety: card games, Chess, strategy games like Settlers of Catan or Dominion, and so on (I've got a big competitive streak). I enjoy theater generally speaking, though I don't see as many shows as I would like. I also enjoy movies tremendously. I think the last pastime of mine worth mentioning is reading: I'm an avid reader of literature, history, biographies, and science fiction. Oh, another cool hobby I recently picked up is composition. I just finished composing my fourth song for voice and piano: it's quasi-operatic.

This is a first for me! I live alone but I am not lonely. My senior dog has been my companion for the past dozen years and due to aging has health problems and I will miss her. I have lots of family in the area and spend time with them. I would like to meet someone and spend time building a relationship and doing fun things together.

I am getting used to retirement, and filling time with volunteer activities as a condo board member, political volunteer (ends real soon), and a leadership role in an Irish Catholic fraternal organization. Try to spend time with my family, and with 8 siblings, 22 nieces & nephews, and two grands, there are lots of people to socialize with. I also enjoy long weekends at Rehoboth Beach, and getting on the road to travel.

Hiking and climbing rocks as we dominate the Billy Goat Trail. Exploring new bars and restaurants in the city. Screaming our heads off at a concert or ballgame. Yes, it's not a weekend if your heart isn't beating a little faster. Monday through Friday I wear a tie with a sharp looking blazer, stand in front of groups while I discuss the day's topics, and race from one room to the next as I bounce off the walls. No, I'm not in politics-- I'm just a teacher who loves his job and throws his whole heart into teaching his kids. It's an exhausting profession, but it's an absolute blast. My favorite part is when a student's eyes light up because they finally understand something, and turn their failing grade into at least a B+. Things I refuse to go without include: Getting outdoors with my camera- whether its exploring a new city or going on one of my favorite hikes. Sunday family dinners- especially when my little niece and nephew are in town! Catching a ballgame or live music with friends. As for you... you're someone who likes to play as hard as I do, and at the same time makes Christ the center of your life. I'm attracted to intelligent, kind, and creative women. The sarcastic types always get extra points. During the week, I teach my classes, but come Friday night...you and I are going out to play. If you can handle it, message me, and let's talk...

I am a rare native of Colorado and I love being outdoors. I'm definitely serious about my fitness and health partaking in a variety of indoor boot camps and gyms. I try to maintain balance and harmony in all phases of my life. Life is truly about the journey and not the destination. I try to embrace this philosophy by living every day to its fullest with no regrets. I am looking for a someone to share and experience adventures in life. I want a woman who's confident, independent, loving, and passionate about something in their life. Trust and respect are the cornerstones of any healthy relationship. She must care about her health and have a desire to travel. Let's go!

Hello, I was on this website a couple months ago for just one month, I decided to come back on for one more month. I know, I know, I'm sorry for only having one picture up. I will try to have a few more up the end of September, if not sooner. I am new to this area, it would be really nice to make some friends to do something social (dinner, sports, theater). I will admit I'm not all that wild about being on social media when it comes to heart, but I do like the company of a woman and times have changed. Like James Brown said, it may be a man's world, but it's nothing without a woman! Some of the things (out of many) that I love doing; missionary work, going to church, watching sports, playing basketball and tennis, trying a new restaurant, traveling. I think I have a great sense of humor. I love to laugh. Thanks for reading my profile, I hope to hear from you! Mark
