I’m being asked to describe myself. Well, what I can do is tell you how I view myself and how I hope the world sees me. That would be as a very genuine, caring and down to earth man whose Catholic faith is an essential part of his life. I'm known to be open with my feelings, very loving, sensitive and close to my family and friends. I stay active and take good care of myself, physically, mentally and spiritually. I love doing all those fun things associated with DC…exploring restaurants, restaurants, going to wine tastings, Wolf Trap, Kennedy Center, Annapolis, Old Town, the zoo, museums. I enjoy biking down Rock Creek, hiking and picnics in Great Falls, taking in a show at the National or Warner Theatres and going to concerts at Merriweather. I also do enjoy sports, as I have season tickets for the Redskins and am also a big Caps and Terps fan. (U. MD Grad here!) I am quite multifaceted in my interests…just as comfy at an elegant dinner party as I am shooting pool at a dive. Can easily sip a glass of fine Merlot at a nice restaurant or hang out and watch a game at a sports bar. I also like the quiet evenings at home. Just staying in and cooking dinner (and yes, I CAN cook pretty well), watching a movie and cuddling. And as for romance, well, I love it. I am extremely affectionate when I am with someone that I care about. Love to hold hands, hug, kiss, play with hair and snuggle. I believe that that is one of the best ways to express yourself—to tell someone you think they are special. Can you appreciate a guy who is a true gentleman-who is clean cut, well mannered, respectful of other, slightly sophisticated…but loves to have fun too?!

I perceive myself to be adventurous, forthright, and fun-loving. Im open to new (not dangerous?!) experiences that make me a better person. The future holds great adventures. My energy is generally positive and I enjoy good company. I prefer to take a prospective relationship a little bit slowly so that we have a chance to get to know each other what makes us enjoy life. I want to know what is important for you, and I hope that you want to know what is important for me. My faith, empathy and compassion for parents, siblings, and community is an important character trait for me. I hope you have the strength to smile at the world, because, often the world is not easy. Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!

I have learned over the years that the most important experiences in life are those that refresh your spirit and bring you insight into the greater world!

I come from a big Irish Catholic Family. I have a strong network of close friends. They are very important to me. I have three kid's...ages 18,16 and 11. I very much enjoy being with them. I'm a native Washingtonian. I have to make more time to play golf which I like very much. I love food espec. going out to restaurants. Love pizza and desserts including ice cream. I follow the Redskins closely and some college sports including football and basketball. I go to a few college games a year. I went to Georgetown Prep for high school and I catch about a half dozen of their basketball games in the winter and most of their football games. I coached CYO Basketball for many years. I have two partners and we invent and develop t.v. exercise machines with most of them being "ab machines." I set goals and work hard but like to take time to have fun espec. on the weekends. I would like to think that I am creative. I love quick trips to the local beaches for the weekends.I find them to be good stress busters. Also enjoy going to New York and places like the Homestead. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons.I'm not crazy about winter but the Holidays, NFL Playoffs/Superbowl, March Madness and the Masters help get me through the winters faster. I like to get out with my friends at least once a week to keep my sanity. My favorite music is old R&B hits, Motown, Jazz and 70's music. Mass and prayer are important to me. I love to laugh and to make people laugh.

Hey! I am relatively new to the area and have never done this whole online dating thing, but thought I'd give it a try after seeing an ad on the back of my church bulletin. Perhaps it was a sign! I am a fairly busy guy and just hoping to find someone to spend time with around DC and go from there :) I am originally from central Ohio and went undergrad in Cleveland, Ohio where I played college basketball, and still love to play/watch almost all sports. I am active and enjoy working out and running outdoors in my free time. I currently am in medical school so I need someone who can understand my demanding schedule. I consider myself a thoughtful, caring and compassionate guy, one of the many reasons I am working to become a doctor. I also just recently became an officer in the US Army, so you would have to be ok with a man in uniform :) But don't worry, I am in the medical field so I don't do anything dangerous. One of the quotes I try to live by is a lyric from one of my favorite bands, 311, "Stay Positive and Love your Life." I especially think of this when things aren't going too well and have to remind me of all the things I have to be positive and grateful for. There is lots more to me, so if you want to learn more, just ask!

My faith is important to me and I would like to find someone with similar values. Although I am quiet at first, I quickly open up with good people. My friends would say that I have a big heart and a dry sense of humor. I would like to find someone who is outgoing, fun, intelligent, and kind.

I've been Catholic my whole life and just haven't found the girl I'm called to be with. I work in software design and am looking forward to being able to have a family to support- in the faith and financially.

I am getting used to retirement, and filling time with volunteer activities as a condo board member, political volunteer (ends real soon), and a leadership role in an Irish Catholic fraternal organization. Try to spend time with my family, and with 8 siblings, 22 nieces & nephews, and two grands, there are lots of people to socialize with. I also enjoy long weekends at Rehoboth Beach, and getting on the road to travel.

Hello, I was on this website a couple months ago for just one month, I decided to come back on for one more month. I know, I know, I'm sorry for only having one picture up. I will try to have a few more up the end of September, if not sooner. I am new to this area, it would be really nice to make some friends to do something social (dinner, sports, theater). I will admit I'm not all that wild about being on social media when it comes to heart, but I do like the company of a woman and times have changed. Like James Brown said, it may be a man's world, but it's nothing without a woman! Some of the things (out of many) that I love doing; missionary work, going to church, watching sports, playing basketball and tennis, trying a new restaurant, traveling. I think I have a great sense of humor. I love to laugh. Thanks for reading my profile, I hope to hear from you! Mark

I get told with surprising frequency that I smell really nice. So I guess I have "smells nice" going for me. Ok, so, I'm pretty goofy, but I do have a little bit of a cynical and dark-humored side. Generally speaking, I'm kind of a chameleon. Honestly, 90% of the time I prefer to be home in the peace and quiet of my own space. But I can be comfortable and happy in almost any environment. I love city living and country living; I love reading with a passion but also get addicted to Netflix; I love the comfort of home but also crave adventure and travel; I need the outdoors but recharge more quietly inside. It's hard for me to pick one thing I'm passionate about, because I have a nearly limitless supply of interests but need other people around to help bring them out. I also don't know what else to say about myself other than random facts or observations...I have a decent sense of humor and pride myself on usually being able to get anyone to laugh. I have many books and am generally always reading at least two books at any given time. I'm an education addict (working on one MS and planning for MBA/JD). I love cats AND dogs, but I really want to adopt a couple kitties, so I hope you have a dog. I dress pretty well. I generally have good home decorating taste...I don't know. I don't like describing myself, so you can judge about the rest of me by meeting me in person! One quick note: yes, I'm divorced. I got married young, outside of the Church, and it was not valid. That is a big part of my past and a part of what has shaped me. You may ask me about it, but I really prefer to keep the door closed on that whole saga. Still, I figure I should be up front about it.

(after trying for good while to date here i am waiting till i get back to washington state late august)according to my temperament profile i can be too forward and honest (which i am). So if you find that offputting just let me know. I am just so comfortable with who i am and what i am looking for i can't help but expressing/talking about it. Late in 8th grade i realized i wanted to be a husband and a father (in that order). I am definitely not trying to rush into anything which is part of the reason i made the commitment to save sex for marrige. While i was influenced by my catholic faith i also know there are many practical reasons to wait for marrige. You should know there have been things that have happened recently that really cemented who i am and i what i want in life. Something else you should know is i am only in the d. C. /maryland area until late august (as i go back for college in washington state). If i actually do find someone of interest out here i would want to countinue the relationship, and would come back to visit during normal breaks.
