63, Essex, MDYes, we all just hate this part of introducing ourselves in print ..... so here goes! Firstly, growing up Catholic, religion has always been a part of my life, and I know God it out there with us. I attend church religiously, pun intended, every week that I am physically able, and try to treat others with courtesy and respect, and as God intended for us to do. About myself, I would say that I am a person with many good qualities by which I live: easy-going, friendly & pleasant personality, excellent sense of humor, good character, honest, honorable, ethical, level-headed, intelligent, respectful, courteous, healthy, and reasonably fit. I come from a small family, so I value family and friends. I'm from the "old school" Catholic education, with conservative thinking and morals, so I have those old fashioned values. I am seeking a mutually strong foundation of friendship, potentially leading to a long term relationship with a woman of similar goals. My interests are varied, but mainly include photography, ham radio, target shooting, and slowly getting into woodworking. . I am single and never married, no children, and free to marry within the Church should things come to that level; non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol abuse. I am also fairly recently retired from the rat race, having taken the plunge into work-free freedom as of Jan. 1, 2015, a sort of birthday gift to myself.
35, Baltimore, MDI am passionate about faith, family, and friends. Living in different states throughout my youth has been most influential. It imbued me with the ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances and new situations. I had to learn to make friends and get involved quickly. We enjoyed local events and landmarks, which kept our family very close. I have many interests, including film, music, sports, outdoor activities, cooking, and spending time with my niece and new baby nephew.
40, Hyattsville, MDI am a graduate student in Economics. I have a French background. I have been in USA since December 2012 and I have been working to get to school and complete a PhD.
29, Potomac, MDI was born in the Twin Cities but mainly grew up in the DC metro area. I enjoy being active, working out, playing sports and hanging out with friends. I am an avid soccer fan and enjoy following sports.
26, Parkville, MDMy formal name is Donald Joseph, III, but everyone calls me Joe. I have grown up in Baltimore most of my life, spending four years in Philadelphia as a student of LaSalle University. I am an active Catholic, attending mass weekly as part of my religious faith. My influences in my life have mostly been through my parents and grandparents. Even though I was baptized as a Roman Catholic, I am also active in the Ukrainian Catholic community in downtown Baltimore. Most of the time I look forward to making other people feel better whenever they are stressed. I am also fiscally responsible, making sure that I pay off my bills on time and in full. I still live with my parents, but that is only until I am financially strong enough to live on my own. I have an older sister and a younger brother around my age. My job states that I work with computers all day, and my degree states that I majored in both Mathematics and Computer Science. However, I do find passion in singing and playing the piano. Take any part of my life and you will see that I was a member of some choir and band simultaneously. I am a huge Ravens and Orioles fan, and I do like to draw during my spare time. I believe that I am a mix of rustic Western Maryland, cosmopolitan Baltimore City, and country Eastern Shore. I do love to travel to places and see new experiences. I feel that my maternal grandparents are the most influential part of my life, as they taught me the values of patience, gentility, hard work, dedication, and ethics. When I have spare time, I like to write music and draw.
33, Hanover, MDI am passionate about exploring ideas, whether I initially agree or disagree with them. I always enjoy conversations that make me think, whether they are different takes on current events or things I had never given much thought on before. I enjoy cooking and got in the habit of cooking for large groups as a graduate student, so periodically cook and bake things for groups of friends. I don't consider myself a gourmand by any means, but am proud of my skill at making a tasty meal from only a few ingredients. Beyond cooking, reading (mostly science fiction) and board/card games are my primary hobbies. I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing board and card games as hobbies.
43, Baltimore, MDI am passionate about helping fellow human beings and look forward to establishing genuine friendship. The world would be a better place if we realize our common humanity devoid of hate, bitterness towards each other but love.....
26, Baltimore, MDHey! I'm Curt, a southern Pennsylvania native moving to the Baltimore area in a couple months after I leave the military. I'm a really passionate, social, and outgoing person. Laughter is a big part of who I am, as well as my faith. In my free time I like to hang out with friends and family, read, go outside for an adventure, exercise, study languages, and so much more. My parents have been a very influential part of my life. Their marriage is an ideal I hope to live up to someday. I find it hard to describe myself this way, so the best way to get to know me is in person!
35, Rockville, MDI was born in southern California but consider myself a Marylander. I moved to Maryland in the 8th grade and have lived in three different regions here. I am honest, trust worthy and a good listener. I went to art college for photography so I like art galleries and museums. I also like movie theaters. Some movies I like are Titanic and the Blue Lagoon. Some tv shows I like are Bob's Burgers and Family Guy. I also watch golf on tv.
26, Pasadena, MDMy chief passion is the study of history. European history is my preference, but I am constantly adding to my eclectic library. In addition to history, I spend quite a bit of time reading historical fiction or fantasy. I also read on religious subjects from time to time. My favorite authors in order of precedence are: JRR Tolkien, Hilaire Belloc, Gk Chesterton, Evelyn Waugh, and CS Lewis. Plutarch is my favorite historian. Additionally, the Colombian Nicolas Gomez Davila's acidic and pithy aphorisms have recently come to my attention-sometimes too cruel, but in many cases there is much truth to be found. After reading, I enjoy lively and varied conversation with friends. I used to watch quite a lot of movies and shows, but my appetite for them has waned. I enjoy casual sports, though I am an exceptionally bad athlete. My favorite sport is soccer, followed by the much less organized sport of sword fighting with my younger brothers. I enjoy singing, particularly folk music of the British Isles or the Middle Ages. I have very recently begun to take up the more cultured arts of dusting off my now very rusty Latin, and taking up calligraphy (my handwriting is TERRIBLE) Progress in these forays is slow, but it's there. If I have success in these pursuits, Greek and dancing are next.
32, Lanham, MDAm born and raised in the catholic faith, from kindergarten to university in Catholic schools.Have experience with knight of saint John, served two years at the seminary. In my lesure time enjoy recreational activities.
28, California, MDI am a passionate coffee connoisseur/addict. I also look forward to sunny days to ride my motorcycle to places near and far (a lot of the time those places are coffee shops). I've recently become more active in my faith. In the past, church was a place to go on Sunday to remind you of The Rules. When I renewed my faith a few years ago, my relationship with God and the mass changed dramatically. My faith really changed the way I see the world.
