62, Essex, MDYes, we all just hate this part of introducing ourselves in print ..... so here goes! Firstly, growing up Catholic, religion has always been a part of my life, and I know God it out there with us. I attend church religiously, pun intended, every week that I am physically able, and try to treat others with courtesy and respect, and as God intended for us to do. About myself, I would say that I am a person with many good qualities by which I live: easy-going, friendly & pleasant personality, excellent sense of humor, good character, honest, honorable, ethical, level-headed, intelligent, respectful, courteous, healthy, and reasonably fit. I come from a small family, so I value family and friends. I'm from the "old school" Catholic education, with conservative thinking and morals, so I have those old fashioned values. I am seeking a mutually strong foundation of friendship, potentially leading to a long term relationship with a woman of similar goals. My interests are varied, but mainly include photography, ham radio, target shooting, and slowly getting into woodworking. . I am single and never married, no children, and free to marry within the Church should things come to that level; non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol abuse. I am also fairly recently retired from the rat race, having taken the plunge into work-free freedom as of Jan. 1, 2015, a sort of birthday gift to myself.
48, Lanham, MDI'm a family oriented person. Family is very important to me. Have been taught good values fun, loyal, and good listener. One thing I will love to find a lady that is honest first of all, and has the same values as I do. My main goal is to have somebody that I could make happy ,and hopefully have a long lasting relationship in the future.
28, Ellicott City, MDThe person I am: I have great ability to speak clearly, and I am able to teach others what life has to offer. I love speaking in front of crowds and reaching out to many different types of people. I really enjoy being active in other peoples lives and I have a knack for playing music. I have been playing guitar for 10 years now and I enjoy singing and performing in front of many people. I have a bachelors degree in Math Education, and I received my masters in Educational Administration. I try to stay as active as I can and I work out in the gym 5 times a week to try and keep up with a healthy lifestyle. The things I like: I consider myself a bit of an adventurous. I really enjoy going on camping trips and being out in the wilderness. Being outdoors truly gives me a sense of peace and the ability to appreciate the finer things in life. I am also a great cook and I try to make a variety of dishes where I know not one person will be dissatisfied when they try my food. I also enjoy running 5k races and I try to sign up at least 4 times a year. The communities I am active in mean much to me and I try to make as many people as possible laugh and smile at life. My goals: My hometown and college shaped how I love and appreciate others and severed as model for how I would like to mold the culture in my area as a teacher and counselor. After coming here, I realized not all places are created equal. I live so close to 3 metro areas; these areas place a great deal of importance on image, money, occupational gain, and less importance on leisurely activities and relationships. Hopefully as a therapist, I can help people put greater emphasis on family, quality time, honesty, and transparency in the community around me. I am hoping to find a partner in crime who would love to be a part of that journey :D .
61, Point Of Rocks, MDI am blessed. Work, church, home, athleticism, learning, and family are all things I treasure. Retire? Not me - the work I do is too exciting. Church involvement? - I'm a RCIA facilitator, and it's the most personally rewarding thing I do. Move? Preferably not - but it would become our home, not just mine . Exercise? Absolutely - in my home gym or outdoors almost daily. Learn? I'm an avid reader - science, history, theology, philosophy. Old fashioned? Wherever the "old" fashion is still a better fashion, then yes I am ;-) . I'm a gentleman and I am seeking the lady who will do me the honor of becoming my wife. How about "...a day in the life..."? Sometimes I write letters. And I like listening to music; I seem to have XM or a CD on a lot, whether at home, work, or in the car. I like a very wide range of music. I enjoy looking at art...paintings, drawings photography, especially...very often I check Fine Art America to see what people have uploaded that day, or run various keywords to see what art comes up from them. Dancing? I love it...all forms...but I'm an awful dancer still yet because I keep quitting lessons for want of a partner to regularly practice with. I like eating good food of various ethnicity, but have not found time or skills for "gourmet" cooking by myself. I do "simple" cooking each night, always pretty healthy and organic, but also allow occasional "McMeals" (I like their fries and smoothies !). After many years of not reading much, I went to grad school and became a pretty avid reader...non-fiction, mostly science, history, theology, philosophy...I read only a couple magazines regularly...the Economist and a car magazine, liked Wilson Quarterly before it stopped print. For a middle-aged, work-a-day guy, I am pretty athletic, and have been for many years, although moving here to the long commutes of the DC area has made it much harder to stay active. I regularly work out at home and at a fitness club. My daily work commute involves two miles of walking, in all weather. I used to snow ski and rollerblade a lot back West, and was pretty good at both. But, I have had trouble getting back into either one here. So now I bike ride instead, mostly on the C&O towpath, typically at a fairly quick, fitness-aimed pace, but not so psychotic about it that I would ruthlessly leave a "soulmate" behind ( ;) ...or, maybe you're one who will have to wait up for me!). Nor do I pass on a nice spot to stop and enjoy the surroundings.

64, Clarksburg, MDHi, and thank you for reading my profile. I would like to meet a woman, who lives relatively close to the DC metro area or Baltimore metro area, so that driving or meeting would not be burdensome for either of us. First, I have a medium to large frame / build (need to lose some weight and I am working at it), but was very athletic and participated in various sports for a lot of years. I'm open to discussing my varied sports interests and see what we have in common. I'm a 33 year employee in U. S. government agencies; have A Master's degree in Community Planning from the University of Maryland; and I live in Clarksburg, MD and work in Germantown, MD. Also, I have an extroverted personality (ENFJ), and I am very comfortable with meeting new people. Also, I am accepting of other persons' beliefs and values. I enjoy being romantic, planning romantic outings, giving and getting surprises, and value couple time, when and where it is appropriate, and I am with the right woman. My hobbies / interests include: woodworking; snow skiing; the beach and other water activities (e.g., sailing and SCUBA diving); movies / TV (various types of movies / programs); Open Wheel (i.e., Indy or Formula 1) and Vintage Car racing; Corvettes and Porsches; investments; science and engineering (nature and environmental documentaries, oceanography, etc.) computer hardware, software, and other technology; reading; Sci-Fi and space / astronomy; Sudoku; gemstones and gemological information; and Warner Brothers / Looney Tunes cartoon characters (e.g., the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote). My online life includes searching for: first and foremost --- a woman friend and eventual partner; investment and business information; computer and technology, and scientific information; woodworking information, news and other information, genealogy and history information, and various other interests --- more to talk about with you.
24, Baltimore, MDAs someone in hard pursuit of a fascinating PhD in cancer cell biology, I must admit that I currently spend a good deal of time in a laboratory. But wait! I'm not a crazy scientist, and not just because I can no longer pull off the Einstein look, haha! Although research can indeed be a exacting mistress, I endeavor to live a holistic lifestyle: one which is undoubtedly active, but contemplative first! Ordinarily, I like for my shenanigans to reflect life's own variety and thrill. Even my musical tastes are eclectic - and dare I say it? - my dancing feet electric. ;) I relish adventure, and delight in the opportunity to survey new places: anything from a bustling city to a luscious forest! In the nearby DC, for example, the incredible Basilica is my only fixture; otherwise, find me exploring an outlandish locale or sampling an exotic cuisine, a la Anthony Bourdain! :D While I derive considerable pleasure from all of these good things, there is one great enterprise for which I reserve a special affection: personal discourse. I love talking to people, and my favorite conversations are metaphysical and natural, silly and witty, all at the same time. And since the best discussions necessarily span the whole spectrum of life, they will often refer back to God in a natural way; after all, what facet of Creation does He not cradle in His loving Hands? :)
27, Bowie, MDHi! I have never written something like this before so bear with me. I'm a high energy guy who can have fun doing anything if I'm with the right people or person. I'm an Eagle Scout and am still involved with helping the next generation of scouts achieve success. I am equally comfortable being on an adventure with camping, rock climbing, hiking, skiing, etc. as I am being cozy at home, playing games, watching movies, and cooking. I love learning new things and skills, games, puzzles, and parties with close friends or family. I am very competitive but not in a 'have to be the winner' way, more that I just enjoy competing. I place a high value on friendship and family and I think loyalty is one of the most admirable traits a person can have. I have my J.D., have passed the MD bar, and recently became employed as a member of the State's Attorney's Office for Prince George's County (I'm a prosecutor)! More on that below. My faith is incredibly important to me and has informed every aspect of my life (Which I'm sure is pretty normal on this page). My prayer life is pretty good, though, to be honest, my mass attendance isn't the best. I've occasionally considered becoming a lay member of the Trinitarian Order or joining said Order but I'm pretty sure I'm being called to family life. More on that below too. Trivia - I'm a playwright for the Boy Scouts of America and have had seven plays performed - I'm also an actor for the Boy Scouts and have appeared in front of a 15000 person audience - I'm an assistant coach for the St. John DeMatha High School Mock Trial team which came in 3rd in the State this past year. - I was a two sport athlete in college and high school. - I enjoy MMA training and have spent a few years learning various techniques but started as a Boxer. Feel free to ask for more information!
