48, Catonsville, MD+AMDG+ I'd say I'm a man who's defined first by my Catholic faith which I strive to live with fidelity and joy. I am an American patriot, and am very traditionally minded. I am loyal to my family and friends, honest to a fault, place great stock in personal integrity, and pursue all of my interests with gusto. My fourteen year old son, Ezra, is the greatest earthly joy of my life. I am also passionate about Christian education, politics, and music (Medieval, Renaissance, Scots-Irish, classical, bluegrass, and classic rock). I like to cook and am that rare breed of man who keeps a clean house, irons his own shirts, but will spend a Saturday shooting a game of paintball in the muddy woods with my son and his friends. I'm a voracious reader (history, lives of the saints, sci-fi, classics). Most mornings, I get up and thank God for the love of my work...I'm a Catholic educator currently teaching fifth grade at an independent Christian school. I see my work as a vital ministry and consider it a great privilege to be invested with such trust doing such incredibly important work. Obviously, being a devoted dad and teacher, I am deeply invested in young people and pretty good with kids!
42, Baltimore, MDHey folks I'm a guy who's just starting out, nothing fancy. Low maintenance, low budget and no nonsense. I am zonked out by the hours work has required of me hence the no maintenance. The last couple of years have been rough and uneventful and I have overlived.
71, Frederick, MDI consider myself as average to slightly above average looking, have most of my hair. I like most types of music but especially 50's, 60's, rock and roll and Irish music from Celtic Woman to Enya to the "rebel" type. I also am honest to a fault. I enjoy most foods, except Indian. I consider myself fairly easy going and easy to get along with. My humor runs from dry to slapstick and everything in between. I lector at my church twice a month. I am a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick, Maryland which is one of the oldest Catholic Churches in Maryland. This is/was hard for me to do, i.e., talk about myself.
37, Bowie, MDEasy going person, very much down to earth. Love to hang out and fun to be with . Goal getter and looking for someone that shares same goal. My family have always been my greatest influence , keeping me grounded, humble and also giving me a purpose to keep striving to be the best in whatever I do.
55, Oxon Hill, MDMy belief is outlined in the Apostles' Creed. I pray the Holy Rosary and wear the Brown Scapular daily. I go to Confession periodically. I receive Holy Communion from the consecrated hands of priests and on the tongue. The Douay Rheims bible is my preferred book of scriptures. The preachings of Bishop Fulton Sheen, Pope John Paul II, Commentaries by J.K. Chesterton inspire me. I believe on Our Lady of Fatima. In spite of the publicized failings of some Catholics I remain a Roman Catholic. For relief from my patent illustration work, from time to time I visit museums, do some photography, listen to music ( classical, pop, easy listening, some jazz, movie soundtracks), watch some movies ( science fiction, religious, action thriller). Although I like science fiction, I don't believe in the existence of humanoids on other planets. I can't read music, but I try to play a musical instrument by ear. I eat different ethnic foods (Italian, Spanish, Filipino, Chinese, Mediterranean, Greek, Indian, etc.) after all I come from a hybrid culture. I am of Filipino and Spanish descent. Facebook helps me communicate with my friends and relatives. I like vegetable gardens, orchards, and ornamental gardens and I have a dog. Oh, yes, I still have my natural teeth. I can tell jokes, too! May there be no food or beverage in your mouth, when you hear one of my jokes!
34, Silver Spring, MDI have a passion for Philosophy/Theology as well as other things that focus on the "big questions" of life. I find these types of wondrous concepts to be fascinating. In addition to truth, wisdom, and love, I suppose that is part of the reason why I am still Catholic today. I also have a passion for justice and morality. As to what I look forward to the most, I look forward to spending time with those I care about the most. I am happiest when around my friends. I am reflective, sentimental, and philosophical. Although I'm a little on the quiet side, I have a great since of humor and definitely have my moments. But overall, I guess you could say I'm the strong, silent type ;) I tend to lead a low-key life without too much complication, so there are a lot of things that I haven't done, but I'm always open to new experiences. I like learning about and taking part in other people's passions while constantly trying to better myself and become more virtuous. I believe that human fulfillment lies in the greatest good: God.
23, Emmitsburg, MDHi, I'm Chris. I am currently a senior at Mount St. Mary's University; double majoring in criminal justice and sociology. I will be pursuing 2 master degrees starting this coming fall, one in cyber security and a second in computer forensics. I am a very laid back kinda guy, I was raised in a small country town. I have a passion for helping people, which I found when I became a volunteer firefighter 6 years ago. Firefighting is basically my life when I have free time (which is not often during senior year of college). The fire service has become one of the most influential parts of my life. My senior research project focuses on the impact of mental health stigma in the fire service. This project is very close to my heart and I am so blessed to be able to publish this research next summer with a big publisher. I asked God to let me do one really big/good thing before I graduate, and I believe this is what He had in mind for me. I am hoping to continue this topic area with my Master's Thesis and possible a Ph.D. dissertation. If you want to know anything about me, just ask.
28, Hyattsville, MDI am an aspiring scholar (or at least a perspiring scholar) working towards my PhD in philosophy at the Catholic University of America. I am fascinated by all things history, philosophy or theology-related, and I enjoy writing fiction in my spare time. My Catholic faith is deeply intertwined with my artistic and intellectual interests, and my first stop whenever I visit the National Art Gallery is always the medieval exhibit. My heroes in faith include Saint Augustine and Pope Benedict XVI, whose writings helped inspire my conversion to Catholicism. I also love animals, and I grew up with a pair of Australian Shepherds, a Border Collie, a Beagle and numerous cats, one of whom still lives with me in my apartment. I have also had a lizard, a turtle, a hermit crab and a pair of hamsters, all of whom were a lot more interactive than you might expect them to be. While I have a pretty sprawling family history, I have always been particularly close to my parents. They are truly the best people I know, and I owe all of my good qualities to them. Other random and/or bafflingly obscure interests of mine include dinosaurs, Japan, world mythology, Ray Harryhausen movies, Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, but not Deep Space Nine or Enterprise and definitely not Star Trek: Into Darkness. That one's a deal-breaker.
