When he wishes to compliment someone, my father says, "You're a gentleman and a scholar." I can think of no higher aspiration: Catholic chivalry and the pursuit of wisdom. You will often find me on a long walk through the city, visiting a museum, hiking through a state park, browsing a used book store, or perhaps even giving a talk at our local Theology on Tap! I treasure quiet time to create and recharge but I also appreciate time with friends, and good food paired with good conversation about culture, politics and theology--especially if it has a dash of quirky humor for spice. While I may start off serious, trust me, we'll probably end up laughing. (I'm told by friends who know me well that I have a touch of the sanguine as well as the phlegmatic as my secondary temperament, though it sometimes takes a little while to show up!) Art is my way of contributing to the Church's quest to win souls for Christ. I am passionate about my job as a full-time architectural designer for a firm specializing in church design, as well as working in my spare time a part-time freelance artist and professional illustrator. I write a bit, for both work and pleasure (mostly on architecture, for a number of Catholic magazines), but read voraciously--usually too many things at once! (Chesterton, Waugh, Woodhouse, among others.) I also play a good game of Pictionary, Scattegories, or Trivial Pursuit! While not terribly into sports, I exercise by walking three to five miles a day, am active, admire athleticism in others, and always am willing to try new things.

I am more well rounded, experianced and part of the community than I had ever dreamed of at my age. I have both an engineering and a business degree, still own a business or two, but am trying to cut it down to just my current full-time job and make-way for something new like maybe a family. I'll keep my investments, like my properties, but I really want to structure my free time for the Catholic Charities I'm on the board of directors of, and some inventions I have that I feel will help humanity. And I honestly finally feel the time is right for a family. I am definately the oddest yet most productive person you'll probably ever meet. I refuse to watch TV or do anything unproductive, but with the right company, I guess I could! I do have nice cars, houses, a condo I share with the folks in the tropics on the beach. But these things I've earned from hard work are nothing more than fun, leisure and investment, and I hope them not to be anything of significance to the person I might marry. I play golf, have a couple cute little dogs, and do plenty else you can ask me.

Hi, I work as a compensation consultant. My faith and family are of the utmost importance to me. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports. I have recently really got interested in skiing and have always enjoyed playing basketball. I'm a pretty laid back person but also like trying new experiences. My favorite saint is St. Maximilian Kolbe for his courage and devotion to the faith. I would love to meet a match who has a strong love for God and someone who I can continue to grow in my faith with.

Hard to sum yourself up in a block of text like this but I'll give it a shot. I love reading, watching movies, hanging out with my dog, and playing music (most recently was a in a band playing drums. We were terrible). I'm pretty introverted and usually have to convince myself to go out instead of staying in with Netflix, but I almost always have a good time once I drag myself out there. I enjoy gaming with friends but not obsessively or anything. I come from a family of 8 kids, and each of those kids (minus me and my brother) have all had at least 5 kids, so you can imagine the pressure. Everyone in my family is super close to the point where it's gotten a little annoying. I was homeschooled through 7th grade but i'm totally not weird, I promise. I went to a tiny liberal arts college and got a Bachelor's in poli/sci, which hasn't exactly landed me any jobs. I work in Framingham at a big corporate building running 1st shift security, which I don't hate. I recently moved to Somerville where I share an apartment with my much more handsome brother and our little Jack Russel-ish mutt, who we love very much even though he's a moron. He will be crazy about you if you meet him, and the feeling will probably be mutual. I'm a pretty sarcastic dude, and if nothing else I will definitely be able to make you laugh. I'm not the best Catholic in the world but I'm working on it. And now I am sick of talking about myself.

I act with the enthusiasm of a kid in regards to my interests, and it is kind of embarrassing to admit some of them. I like reading, browsing video sites, playing games, both board games and video games, and watching some TV shows. My official major is Graphic Design. I enjoy playing with children and animals, and joking around constantly with my friends. I understand that I come across as somewhat serious at first, however, as I'm somewhat reserved if I feel I still don't know someone well. That's partly why I appreciate someone who is talkative, positive, and friendly. While I do goof around sometimes, the time I enjoy most is time spent with family and friends. Probably the most influential person in my life is my mother, who is a compassionate woman who runs a non-profit charity out of one of the local church rectories. I've always been very close to her, partly because I've always been kind of huggy, and who doesn't like a good hug? Anyway, I remember my family vacations especially with great fondness, and I want to share all the wonderful times I've had with someone special, someone who shares my views on the value of family. I tend to be the first person to admit my mistakes and try things a different way, and I'm interested in someone who can introduce me to new experiences that my limited social life has kind of limited, so I can experience more and try all kinds of things. I am sort of a introverted person, but I enjoy discussing the arts, sciences, psychology, theology, and other "deep" topics while still keeping a light atmosphere and a good sense of humor about me. If you message me, please realize that it will take ten days before I can view the message. Sorry about that.

My entire family is Catholic, we have an extremely strong bond. I have over 20 cousins and we all still share the faith. We often meet up for family events and we even go camping as a big group on occasion. I use the teachings of the church to guide my day to day and life decisions. I work in a field that protects others from people who do not share the same moral beliefs. In my leisure time, I enjoy Yoga, Lifting weights, meeting with friends, and trivia nights. I recently started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and it has taught me a lot about self defense.

I recently moved to Somerville and in trying to find a parish I enjoy with intellectually stimulating homilies, I also saw a few ads for this site, so I figured "why not give it a try?" Having not done the online dating thing before, I never really made a list of dating requirements, but sharing similar values certainly is very important in any relationship and my faith at the center of that. Someone who can have deep discussions (not just about religion) and not only challenge my thought process but also teach me (and hopefully vis versa) is quite important to me. If you'd like to have those conversations over coffee, wine, beer or cocktails, we'd have something else in common, too. If you enjoy spending time outside in the nicer weather hiking, biking, at the beach or at a backyard bbq, maybe we should talk. If you already miss football season or can't wait for Sox season to start, please drop a line. Yes I'm a little hesitant about this online dating thing, but maybe you'll be the one to prove me wrong!
