I'm family-oriented and enjoy spending time with my nephews and nieces, classical literature, biographies, traveling (especially Europe), writing, going out, staying in, running, working out, last-minute road trips to NYC, surprises (good ones), cultural events, baseball, football, and hockey. I'm second generation Irish, born in Boston and raised in the suburbs. I became a dual citizen a few years ago. I'm the seventh of eight children (six sisters and an older brother). I see God's Hand in this order, as if He tucked me away in the family like an afterthought in order to bring me closer to Him. After getting a master's in English, I taught for a bit and then went to law school. I liked law school -- a lot. I was a civil litigator in a Boston law firm for a number of years before leaving to pursue other projects. I miss the writing aspect of the law, as well as the people with whom I worked, but the long workdays left little time to devote to my personal life. For this reason, and some others, I took a break from practicing law. These days, I find that buy and hold, with the occasional speculation, is a solid strategy. I brush off the little disappointments of life over which I have no control. I have hope, always. I have a selfish tendency at times to say something stupid in order to hear it out loud and make myself laugh, but most of the time I try to make others laugh. I hold doors open and push in chairs. I can be a goofball. I'm not crazy about fruit, but I eat it about 4 times a day. I'm analytical, practical, and imperfect. I love my mother. I take her food shopping every Wednesday; when her car needs an inspection sticker, I get it for her. When I listen to music, it's typically classic rock, U2, Springsteen, as well as some top 40 stuff. Overall, I can listen to anything in a particular moment, so I like the idea of satellite radio and a lot of channels in the car. I enjoy traditional Irish music, preferably performed live. Movies I like to watch whenever they're on include The Godfather, Rudy, Fargo, Anchorman, Jaws, Gladiator, Schindler's List, and Nacho Libre. I tend to weave movie lines into conversations to illustrate a point or to draw an analogy; once in a while it makes sense. I don't know what an ideal match would be, but you should probably not be allergic to books.
  • Nick, 27 from Boston, MA
    27, Boston, MA
Hello! I'm a comedian in nursing school! That pretty much sums up my life right now. I graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2013. While I was there, I was reverted hard by a couple of egghead jesuits and a guy named Peter Kreeft. Now I'm headed to back to school to learn how to be the best male nurse ever and finally knock Patch Adams off his medical-comedy throne! Im a comedian and I love performing stand up. I think laughter is one of the most powerful gifts we've been given. I love my mother, she's the best. We laugh hard together all the time. I love Dad too. He's Irish, so he got my brother and I citizenship. I thinks it's very important to have a healthy understanding of what it means to suffer and know how to properly experience joy. Im the only catholic in my group of friends, so I'm very outnumbered, but in the best way. I love my family and friends with all of my heart.

Did I say I love hiking?? The Appalachian trail, Yosemite or discovering your local trail.. I'm in! My little nephews and nieces are amazing, love taking them ice skating, swimming or more recently to a trampoline park. Curious by nature, adventurer at heart.
  • Matthew, 22 from Boston, MA

Honestly, I love travel, food, drink, singing, reading, and obsessively learning new things. Catholicism snuck up on me when I was studying history and politics. Even now, I am returning to a reading binge, and am blasting through the usual history podcasts everyone else has already finished. I love the Latin Mass, Gregorian Chant (obviously), and Catholic Art and Music (especially Gothic facades and Eastern Icons). As my mother's son, I've embraced art and music over playing or watching sports, and so after my return to the Faith, I began to sing Gregorian Chant, which eventually grew into a love for singing. I am most who I am today because of my love for learning new things. This was the grace that spurred me back into the Church (thank you Bishop Sheen et al), and what (on a good day) drives me to see more, do more, and experience more. This, and my talent for languages, led to a love for travel which gave me two unforgettable blessings, the five months I've had in France going to Mass at St Eugene, and the Chartres Pilgrimage. I grew up in a tight-knit family that basically keeps me from really being comfortable alone for too long, and yet, taught me how to carve out my own space among the clamour. First-hand, I was shown the crucial importance of the multi-generational household and the extended family. As for free time, besides everything else (singing, reading, internet, languages), I kind of want to get into some form of art: Either drawing or calligraphy, Or maybe I'll finally finish writing something. By the way, I have a beard now...I'll try to get a better picture soon.

Hello! Allow me to introduce myself.. Well actually by now you know my name so why don't we just skip ahead :) I was originally born and raised in Connecticut, but moved to Boston after having spent quite a bit of time in the area on and off over a period of a few years. Having moved to to the city and become more familiar with it as a full time resident I truly feel right at home here :)
  • Nish, 38 from Boston, MA
    38, Boston, MA
I'm an average guy and I always face the world with a can-do attitude. Basically, I try to live life to the fullest and try to do everything with best of my ability. Even if I have to push beyond my limits, I would do it within the safe zone. Im very patient, honest, kind, modest, amiable, humble, funny and witty. And I always try to have a well-balanced outlook on life. Not every situation in life is same so I'm always committed to spending that extra bit of energy and patience to adopt to any situation that I come across. I'm not a big dreamer, but I would rather thrive throughout the conscious reality with a clear vision. I have a tremendous capacity for joy and I'm remembered for my kindness. God is part of my life and I'm trying to grow and mature spiritually as well in order to receive god's grace. If there's someone out there, who likes my profile, please feel free to contact me...
