Me in a small nutshell...I am a simple guy. The things that I enjoy are dear to me. Sailing is a passion that I was instilled with at an early age and currently I am active in the New England racing scene. When I am not sailing I am focusing on my work as a Geologist at a local environmental engineering firm. However, I do enjoy to head out to the bars for a few drinks with my friends, especially to see some live music. I am not really a fan of clubs, singles bars, or lounges (not that I havent been dragged there by my friends!). In the winter months I tend to hibernate a bit more, enjoying coffeehouses, fireplaces and skiing. I am very close with my parents and younger brother and I have an excellent group of friends from all kinds of backgrounds. Like I said before, I am a simple guy who likes simple things. I am not one to find driving a fancy car or wearing flashy clothes. Basically I am old fashioned and I like classic things.

I am considered by those who know me well as a humorous, caring, loving and compassionate man. An educator that made a difference in the lives of his students. A counselor that always had the best interest of his students as priority number one. I was married to a wonderful woman who lost her eight year battle with cancer. She passed into eternal life three years ago. Before she died she told me that she did not want me to live alone because, she laughed, I was too cute and would make some one else as happy as I made her. She said that I could always make her laugh no matter how difficult our journey became. And we all know how hard the trials and tribulations of a marriage can be, let alone dealing with a deadly disease as well. I have two great kids that are also teachers and I am a grandfather for the first time, I am so excited. I am already spoiling her; can't wait to buy that pony. I retired early from teaching to care for my ailing wife. In less than seven months I lost two of the most important loves in my life, my beautiful wife and my profession. I now spend more time at my vacation home in NH: boating, fishing and bird hunting with my son, Stephen and my new Brittany Spaniel. I also spend my time cross country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling. I enjoy cooking and don't mind sharing my kitchen. I also enjoy relaxing by the fire on a snowy winter night, with a glass of wine. I look forward to meeting some one who enjoys the same things as me but I am willing to learn new things as well. My match must be true to her faith and practice her faith. I look forward to praying and celebrating weekly mass together, having meaningful conversations, listing to music, discussing the faith or just relaxing on a lake.
