This used to be a long post, but I'm finding out people prefer CliffsNotes versus reading the whole Shakespearean novel. So, with that in mind... I enjoy living in the city, but love the country. I'm socially active and love being around people. In unfamiliar groups, I'm a bit introverted; with friends it's completely the opposite. I laugh a lot, and can find humor in pretty much everything (and yes, my mind does revert back to my inner 13-year-old occasionally - life's too short to be serious all the time). I love dancing (swing and ballroom dancing mostly, but I do enjoy a night out downtown now and again). I really enjoy live music, so it's easy to convince me to go see a band play. In addition to the above, I enjoy an easy night in cooking and watching a movie, catching up on my shows, or reading. (Doesn't happen NEARLY enough). I like to travel when financially possible (most recently to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany). Nashville is my favorite US city (next to Grand Rapids). Driving is my stress relief, so I love road trips in my truck. I work at a university. I am very close to my family, and am great with kids. Let's have some fun and make some memories, for those truly do last a lifetime.

I am interested in meeting someone for companionship and to have a friend. I come from a large family and we enjoy getting together and having a good time. I am looking for someone who likes to have fun. I enjoy the outdoors and would like to travel more to see the world.

Tried this to see what happens. I am easy going yet I have a lot of interests to many to name all of them. I like golf, ice skating, music (jazz & blues). Nothings better than to meet someone while listening to a good piano player. Sets the atmosphere. Fun, athletic, adventurous, and likes to be entertained. I like to discover new things, always looking for new things and new ways to do old things. Consider myself a life long learner. Likes a good book, parties, movies, good conversation, traveling, star gazing, meeting people, and likes to laugh. I even like malls. Enjoys a challenge. We don't have to be exactly a like because that's a great way to learn from each other and who better to learn from. That just might turn out to be enjoyable.

I consider myself to be an intellectually curious person and an avid reader, a fun-loving guy with a diverse array of interests. My hobbies include music, travel, boating, history, camping, physical fitness, reading, baseball, hiking, golf, swimming, kayaking, and just about any outdoor activity. I'm blessed to come from a large family, I love them all, and I enjoy spending time with them as often as possible. I love Italian and Polish food. As a graduate of Catholic secondary school, I am a big believer in and supporter of traditional Catholic education. My faith is very important to me. I strive to make it the center of my life. I am primarily looking for a soulmate, but I am also open to fellowship and friendship with other like-minded Catholics. In my soulmate I would hope to find someone who is truly committed to the teachings of the Catholic faith with an optimistic outlook on life and a love for family - a woman who is equally comfortable with adventure or just sitting at home enjoying time together. Very simply, I want to bring joy and love to her life. I believe that conversation and laughter are important in any relationship. I also believe in spiritual leadership within a family - a spiritual leadership that is loving, compassionate, yet unwavering and uncompromising in its commitment to serving the Lord.

I am funloving and adventuresome; love laughing even if it's at my own expense. I am very flexible when it comes to what makes the ideal date - it may be taking a hike in our grubbies or dining in our biz casual. I have a great love for most music especially Christian Contemporary. I love to meet people and be with friends. I like traveling to places already visited and yet to be explored. I love to watch my grandkids play sports and have probably seen upwards of 100 games of some sort in the past 12 months. Last but foremost - my faith is very important to me.

I have been going to school, working and living in the Grand Rapids area for most of my life.. I'm a easy going person who likes to laugh and just have a good time. I love to smile, be happy and to make people laugh. One thing I can say and most people can't is that I have a twin brother. I love my heritage and my Catholic faith. My family and friends are very close, so we often do things together. One of my favorite summer pastimes is to go to family barbecues! I like to camp, fish and pretty much play any sport you can think of. I love the outdoors, so I go up north often. Nothing is better than to go fishing/boating on the water or vacationing at State and National Parks. I love the four seasons Michigan has to offer! I love to ski, ice-skate, and go sledding :) haha a (I'm a kid at heart) I enjoy looking for marels in the deep woods and early water fishing in the spring. Summer is my all time favorite! Sitting around a bonfire, cooking on the grill, laying out at the beach, hiking or traveling to places I have never been. And don't forget the fall! Corn mazes, hayrides, picking apples and of course football GO BLUE!! Just a little about me. :) I'm looking for someone who's honest and can be herself. Someone who can tell what's on her mind no matter the situation. And certainly someone enjoys the simple things in life, like sitting around the kitchen table telling stories and talking the night away. Being healthy is an important part of my life so exercising is part of my weekly routines.(exercising/lifting 3 times a week) I'm also looking for someone who is healthy and active in there daily life. I also go to church pretty much every weekend and certainly wouldn't mind finding someone who's not afraid of doing the same. :) I would like someone that has a good sense of humor, spontaneous and is careering but also likes to have fun with family and friends. I'm looking for my ideal MATCH. but on here emotions will have to do for now.
  • David, 64 from Ada, MI
    64, Ada, MI
My name is David, you can call me Dave or David, and I have been retired for about 7 years now. I used to work in the state prisons. I live on a small lake with my cat and my doxie, not far from St. Patrick Catholic Church. I enjoy the warmer weather most just because it keeps me so busy fishing, gardening, family gatherings, nights out by the fire pit, working on the house (mostly remodeling) and yard work. I am a pretty good cook (I grew up around the restaurant business). I bake breads, cookies, and really, really good cinnamon rolls (usually with raisins). I ice fish occasionally, but. I'd rather do it from the boat in warm weather. I am pretty easy going and laid back, but when I get going on a project, I usually get going full tilt until I'm done or have to stop. I'll even bring the spotlights out if it get's dark! The two people that have had the most influence on my life of course are my parents. I am from a large family, 2 brothers and five sisters, and I respect my parents' ability to put up with all the "stuff" they had to go through bringing us up, especially the stuff I did. They probably thought I'd never straighten out. Anyway, my father was one of the nicest and friendliest people you could have ever met. He really knew how to relate to, listen to and help people. I also learned much of my cooking skills from him. My mother was more withdrawn and held on to much of her simpler roots from the days of surviving on very little and making the most of what you can with what you've got. Right to the end she thought of nothing but leaving something for all her children. Of course there are many teachers from my school days as a child I will never forget because they were genuine. But there are also a few that did that special something that drew people in to learning even though the subject was difficult. I would not be where I am now if it hadn't been for a concerned clerk when I was in the Army. I hadn't been in Germany very long and was still trying to shake off some of the bugs of my youth and was on the edge of oblivion. One of the company clerks who was getting out soon approached me and struck up a conversation. He asked me if I knew how to type. The funny thing was, I had taken typing in high school. I only got a "D" in it, but that was enough to get me the job to replace him when he left. I ended up being the main clerk until I was discharged "Honorably" from the service. Things only got better after that.

Hello! I am currently a student at Grand Valley studying to be a physician. My three biggest passions are spiritual growth, physical health, and helping others. In my free time I enjoy playing guitar or drawing. And I'm currently trying to teach myself to play the piano! I grew up Catholic attending parochial school all the way through high school. I currently attend mass at Sacred Heart in Grand Rapids. My faith is a big part of my life and I love finding people to share it with!

Hi, My names Dave. I go to school in Michigan, but I'm originally from Chicago and come back in town every once in a while. I'm a pretty laid back person, but when things are needed to get done, they will be. I am studying Automotive Engineering so I have an interest in cars and have a few myself. I am involved with the Boy Scouts and from that I have gained a great love for the outdoors and take every chance I can to see the beautiful creation God has given us to see and explore. I am serious about my faith and love learning new things about and becoming closer to God and Jesus Christ through prayer and scripture. Looking for someone to spent time with learning about each other along with our faith along the way.

There are many passions, as I am that type of person. Anything I enjoy or person I like to be with, I am quite passionate in a quiet but strong manner. I do love ballroom dancing for one thing and traveling and golf of course and can still hit a ball 300 yards at times, body surfing on Lake Michigan with my dog, salmon fishing, going to the movies I really enjoy and too many other things I suppose. The most influential person was my father whom I considered a living saint while he was alive and maybe he's not canonized but it's nice to know what one is like and I had that opportunity. Yes, My mom was awesome too. :) I just enjoy being with my family whether waterskiing or at the pool or with friends doing anything at all. I also do love gardening fruits at my home as well and here we go again, I better stop now before I run out of space. Well, o.k. if you insist, as for the most important things. I do believe foreplay goes on 24 hours a day, not 5 minutes before (though the thought right now has me drifting, anyway), I love children, would welcome yours and would love to have my own if at all possible. I believe in putting my wife (someday) first above all else but God and I love dating and believe dating should never end, whether no children or twenty children. I am passionate about health and nutrition as well and read voraciously on the subject as well as many other subjects and an open to new experiences that you might enjoy as long as I am with you! A miserable place with the right person is paradise compared to a gorgeous with the wrong person. Either way, I am quite easy going after all I like to think fairly easy to live with. Well, someday you may find out! God help you! lol. I'll go to confession after that date. :)
