I am an active Catholic, usher at 12:30 Mass, Facilitator in RCIA process at St. Francis in Ann Arbor, and follow Church teaching as well as I can. I work out 3-5 times a week in an attempt to maintain fitness and am far from my college athlete days. I have a good sense of humor and still try to view life's experiences with fresh eye. With 31 nieces and nephews, I love children, I'm the favorite uncle. I would still like to have children of my own but will defer to God's plan for me. I have limited rights on this site but am the Chief CFI(Flight Instructor) at U of M Flyers(Michigan Flyers), which is one of my avocations. I am back in the States after 21 months living and working in England. It is good to be home! I also grow heirloom tomatoes, 24 plants of 14 different varieties!

I see marriage as an inviolate Holy Union and am adamant about having the same type of relationship my parents have had for over 43 years. Although I embrace Catholicism now, from my teens to my early 20's I strayed far from the Faith. Coming from a devout Catholic family and having a sheltered childhood, I became keenly aware of how different I was when I left Catholic school to attend high school and was willing to trade who I was in order to be accepted. I spent so many formative years pretending to be something I was not that it took me quite some time to figure out exactly who I was. Though my ascent back does not change my past, I hope it can earn me the right to be given a chance. One exciting aspect for me is that the woman to whom I someday say, "I love you," will be the first to hear those words come from the real of the few gifts I have left to give (and I just can't wait for that day to come). What else? Well, I'm definitely unique. I'm a revert to the Faith who had a Presbyterian Minister for a grandfather. I am masculine in my presence and mannerisms, but feminine in my need for verbal intimacy. It was Catholic school that inculcated my academic knowledge, but the secular world that refined my social skills and established my confidence. Most importantly, I am profoundly human with intricate thoughts, sensitive feelings, an insatiable desire for expression, and an intense intellectual curiosity. Longing for the days of ordered relationships whereby men initiate and women reciprocate, simple things such as opening the door for a woman have taken on an otherworldly romantic feel lately. I fear that on one of these occasions I'll simply drop to my knees and beg the woman to impale my heart for being unable to bear the depth of sadness and joy it is experiencing.

Hello. I'm a thirty-something man living in the metro Ann Arbor area and I am a member of a vibrant Christian community. I'm a nice guy and while I may be a bit rough around the edges, I'm not in a way that runs afoul of Church teaching or norms, which is good because I take my faith pretty seriously. I also have what I think is a spectacular sense of humor ("spectacular"? sure, I'll go with that).

Hey there! I am a kind person, always willing to help out a friend. Those who know me say I would give the shirt off my back. I've been told that is why I found myself in the service and hospitality industry--I like to make people feel welcome and comfortable. I just haven't found the right person with the right values yet, and that is why I am here on Catholic Match--to do just that. I hope to find a nice person who enjoys being treated well and attending Mass together, and ideally would like a family someday soon. I like to travel and cook, so I hope you enjoy eating=) I will work on my profile a little later, just getting the ball rolling. Hope you check back soon! God Bless.

I'm a semi-eccentic writer, would-be artist, and lover of all things creative. I'm a film-buff, a book-lover, and an unrepentant nerd, as well as a history buff, an amateur ethicist, and self-taught theology student. I also love nature and the out-of-doors and wish I had more time and opportunity to spend in them. I work out regularly, practice martial arts, and am something of a gun-nut. Basically, I'm interested in almost everything; I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge, and beauty of all kind inspires me. Personality wise, I'm very introverted and typically quiet and reserved. I have not the talent which some people possess of conversing easily with those I have never seen before. I cannot catch their tone of conversation, or appear interested in their concerns, as I often see done. That said, I always try to be polite and I think I'm a very kind person, I just don't always know how to express it. Though I'm usually slow to start conversations, I can carry them on pretty well once they get going, especially if I'm interested in the subject and / or the other person. Be warned, though: I've got a dry, rather dark sense of humor that involves a lot of sarcasm, and I use it all the time. I have some rather, shall we say, unusual views on certain issues, but don't worry; I'm an orthodox and faithful Catholic. My faith is the bedrock of my life. It definitely skewers towards the traditional end of the spectrum, and In fact, I'm a bit of a throwback in a lot of ways: I'm very much a traditionalist and I regard many modern ideas with grave skepticism at best. I believe in independence and self-reliance, and I'm a romantic; not a feminist. In short, I'm an unusual proposition and probably not to everyone's tastes. I much prefer to make the first move, but if I do contact you, it means I think you might be something unusual as well.
