I'm a walking, talking paradox - goofy and serious, sporty and nerdy, shy and outgoing! I usually have a dry sense of humor and like to make people laugh even if it's at my own expense. I keep busy and really like being outdoors...canoeing, fishing, and snowmobiling have been my main outdoor activities lately. I also own an old house that I am slowly but surely restoring. Another thing I like to do is to go in search of places that modernity hasn't destroyed yet. I have regular weeknights devoted to coaching and church events. Since I stay so busy, I try to make time to observe silence and stillness to avoid burning out. Thank goodness there is a perpetual adoration chapel 5 minutes from home!
  • Richard, 29 from Flint, MI
    29, Flint, MI
Hello, My name is Richard. I would first like to point out, that, as of this date (10/2/2014) I am new to the Catholic faith. I am still in the process of finding a parish, and have yet to start the entry thingie (it's name is evading me at the moment). However, if you are curious about my background, feel free to message and I'll share. Right now, there is not much to say about me. I am a sports fan and follow the Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, and a bit of the Pistons. I like to hunt, fish, and camp though I haven't done these things in quite some time. I like to read, and will read just about anything you put in front of me. I like most kinds of music, which kind would depend on the day. I'm a rather shy person, and sometimes it takes me awhile to figure out what to say. I am currently unemployed, but, considering going to school for truck driving, come November (date subject to change). I like to write, though due to lack of practice, I'm not as good at it, as I once was.

I am passionate about my writing. I love to read, follow professional Detroit teams like the Red Wings and the Tigers. I follow politics faithfully because as Pope Paul VI said "Politics is about being involved in your community, your village or town, your state or province, your country, and your world." My catholic retreats (I have made two a year for thirty years) have helped me recharge spiritually and I have benefited greatly from them. My family has been the most influential in my life. Teachers and friends have also had quite an excellent impact on me. I enjoy reading, writing, working out, sports, and being good to my significant other, namely my love interest, my woman who also cares about me.
  • Jeff, 31 from Flint, MI
    31, Flint, MI
Hey, I'm Jeff. I value my family and my faith tremendously. I enjoy outdoor or athletic activities as well as a night out on the town, and evenings in to relax are great as well. Additionally, I enjoy traveling and attending live sporting events. Basically, I enjoy a good mix of activities. I have fun doing my work and my occupation draws a lot of my time. I try to make sure that I maximize the opportunities I have outside of work. I often go home to Indiana or to visit family/friends in Chicago, Madison, Cleveland, Oregon, California, and elsewhere. I'm an Ohio State Buckeye and certainly have enjoyed that, though I try to not rub my friends here in Michigan the wrong way! If you have any questions, please message me and let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am content with my life and plan to continue to improve it in ways that I can. The one thing that I believe can make life more enjoyable is to find a companion to share it with. So if you are content with your life as it is, but also feel that new experiences and the adventure of life is best when shared with someone, then lets get to know each other and see if it is Gods will that we can succeed in our quest. If we come to the realization that a permanent relationship is not in our future then I hope we at least develop a mutually satisfying, meaningful and lasting friendship.
