I have an outgoing personality. Love for all types of music and movies. Family and friends are very important to me. Recently moved back to Michigan from Florida, so I am looking forward to some skiing this winter. I am very active outdoors: camping, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, hunting, motorcycle racing. I know this is short and a little old! I will update it soon!!!

I really love my 2 teenage boys and am passionate about togetherness and true love with that special someone. I am currently going through the ending of a long-term marriage and dealing with first time heartbreak in my life. It just seems so unreal that this is actually happening but it is. I look forward to possibly meeting a kind and patient woman who has good values and cares deeply within her heart about possible serious relationships with a guy like myself and situation. My dad has been a true rock in my whole life and I'm so grateful to God for that. I enjoy the simple things in life like walking my dogs, holding hands with that special person and just being together. Dining out, working out at the gym, and watching movies are always fun too. I hope these are some of yours.

O.K. this one requires at least 150 characters to be used and so far I am up to the big 87 it says. I like art and painting. I paint murals on my basement walls and its very relaxing . I have done murals from pink Floyd albums, led zeppelin, the doors, Harley Davidson, the original 6,hockey related.

I like to enjoy everyday and try to see as much positivity in everything that I can. Life is a gift so we should enjoy it. I guess I am an eternal optimist! I love music and like to play the guitar. I like to travel and spend time with friends.

I am somewhat old fashioned. I try to live up to the morals and ethical standards of the stereotypical US Army Officer (I retired as one) that people imagine, as well as WWJD (I'm not someone who tries to proselytize others). I do volunteer work at the Detroit Goodwill headquarters, assisting veterans with their resume, cover letter, and thank you letter skills (these are not the theoretical documents that someone would receive in a class or seminar), disability claims (I'm a certified volunteer service officer with the Disabled American Veterans, and at the Detroit Veterans Administration Hospital - when not researching information veterans need for claim, etc. I also substitute teach K-12 in four different school districts. I take my two children to and from high school twice weekly. I'm a voracious reader and have my own library. I am a Conservative, but I do research issues and if I have a controversial opinion, I can back it up with legitimate source material. I also do a bit of writing in the fields of humor, philosophy (my own), Horror Fiction, OP ED, and Political Thought. I have also written and distributed to my family an autobiography, so that my children, at least, will know what their father did. I'm not into traveling for extended periods of time, because "been there, done that" while in the Army and although I'm open to shorter trips, I really don't want them to interfere with my public service work. That pretty much sums me up.
