  • Matthew, 39 from Saint Paul, MN
    39, Saint Paul, MN
My name is Matthew. I'm a big guy who loves cooking (and I'm a pretty dang good cook, even if I do say so myself). I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do like to enjoy my tobacco pipe. I spend alot of time reading, science and nature, theology, sci-fi, fantasy, and culinary books. I'm city born and raised, but I'd like to be able to move to a little ways out of town, with a lot more rural areas around it somewhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin someday. I dream of retiring to a little hobby farm, on a lake, river or stream eventually. I love to go camping and fishing, and just spend time outdoors when the weather is nice. (I can't stand hot weather!) I have 3 cats, and a loveable, and very over-active Border Collie.

When they made me, they broke the mold. (Rumor has it they beat the heck out of of the mold-maker, too.) I notice every woman's hair and shoes. I've got an opinion on almost every fashion trend. I'm a hopeless romantic. I'm not big on public displays, but I'm very affectionate. I have a very dry sense of humor and I absolutely love to dance. I'm not really into sports per se, but I do a lot of biking. I love playing games--board games, card games, whatever.
  • James, 27 from Minneapolis, MN
    27, Minneapolis, MN
Being Catholic is very important to me, I find myself getting closer to God daily. I Love my family very much and value our relationship. Growing up in a large family gave me a great perspective on live. Overall you can say that I am a very laid back person that doesn't get worked up over the little things. For my profession I am an engineer for the railroad and own a building/ real estate development company on the side. My business tends to keep me very occupied but I know when to settle down and take a break but I do love working.
  • Shannon, 37 from Saint Paul, MN
    37, Saint Paul, MN
Greetings in the Lord! Here's a little bit about me! Its hard to sum up who I am in such little space- but here it goes. I totally enjoy the outdoors- I've attended three summer camps and have worked at two of these. While outdoors I enjoy; camping, hiking, alpine skiing, swimming, and but not limited to lumberjack work. I really enjoy travel- I have been very blessed in this area of my life, I have traveled to 23 US states and 17 countries. I also want a possible girlfriend to know that I do have a minor physical disability, it impacts my coordination as well as other areas of my life. It is very important to me that she understand that I have come to accept myself for who I am. It is very important that she be able to accept me for who I am- as well as her family! I have written a book about my life... I'll fill you in more as we get to know one another better.
  • David, 24 from Minneapolis, MN
    24, Minneapolis, MN
Hi I'm David! I'm second out of 15 kids, I'm going to school part time, I go to church once a week and I try to do the same with chapel as well. I enjoy fishing, walks, construction, movies, reading, being with family and friends, and talking with new people. I currently work full-time at Intereum. I can be quiet at first but once I open up, I tend to be very fun and loving. Most my family and friends know that I love to give hugs on a whim but I won't hug if the person doesn't like it. Being 2nd of 15 I have an interesting view point on the world and it tends to clash with some people. Did I mention I can sorta cook? No, well I can make some stir fry. God has blessed me with his love and I like to share it with the world, I just need someone to help me up when I fall.
  • Joseph, 47 from Ely, MN
    47, Ely, MN
I prefer home, hearth, and garden over noise. Some do what must be done at home so they can leave and 'do something', I do what must be done out there so I can be home. I prefer the company of old books and fires to most other things. Golf, volunteering, and my children's lacrosse games are among the best reasons to leave the property. Arias in the background are always nice. Newport Beach is my hometown. I am first and foremost a father, and my primary focus at this point in my life is the well-being, education, happiness, and progress of my children.
  • Jonathan, 43 from Minneapolis, MN

I am a stable man working is a skilled trade for the same company for 17 years. I take care of my home but it could use a woman's touch :). • Joe, 55 from Howard Lake, MN
    55, Howard Lake, MN
I am a 54 year old widower, I am passionate about many things, my faith first and foremost and then most music except rap or music I can't understand a thing that's being said. I also enjoy fishing (ice and open water), and hunting when I can find the time. I also enjoy working in the fields on my small hobby farm and taking care of a couple labs. I look forward to quitting time from my day job just knowing I will be going home to the above to just unwind and take in the nature around me. I also like working in the garden, farm shop - building things and building up my farm for when I retire. I can stay home and enjoy what I have always wanted to do - small scale farm, work with animals and provide for myself and family. I have 3 grown children and 1 hopefully in heaven with my deceased wife. My father was the most influential person in my life because he taught me many things about life and skills that I use to this day which I hope to pass on to my children and grand children. Another person that has had a great influence on me was Fr. Nicholas Gruner, The Fatima Priest and the teachings and background on Fatima and it's effects and implications for living life in today's world.
  • Gerriet, 31 from Osseo, MN

Stories I love stories. I've thought about making a podcast where I do nothing but interview strangers and find out what makes them interesting. Because there's always something. Life doesn't let any of us pass without giving us a story that's funny and sad and hard and hopeful. I visited a Catholic monastery twice last year, and one of their projects was to go to monasteries in the Middle East and scan their documents, records that exist in one place and nowhere else. These monasteries couldn't even read their own documents for fear of destroying them. The people I visited have been doing this for 40 years, and some of the monasteries they worked with have since been destroyed by conflict and war. But their stories are safe, and that's not enough, but it's something. That's everyone though. Everyone is in the position of those Eastern monasteries, with stories untold, or partially told, and one tragedy away from having it lost forever. And yet-we have a chance to share a little and save a little, and every bit is worth it. About Me I'm a Catholic convert since 2013. Religion is important to me. What type of Catholic? I'm pretty good about praying my Rosary, and I love Latin Mass, although my local parish doesn't offer it, and I'm OK with that. I love Newman and Chesterton and T.S. Eliot. My friends and family are almost all not Catholic. Great people. Love them. And we have such interesting conversations.
  • Timothy, 36 from Minneapolis, MN
    36, Minneapolis, MN
Hello! My name is Timothy. I enjoy playing hockey and skiing for sports. Travel is always at the top of the list for fun stuff to do. I don't have cable, but I do watch a lot of movies. I'll literally watch anything, but I do have my favorites. Cooking is becoming one of my favorite things to do on a weekend night. My specialties are Italian as well as German cuisine, and I've been told my weinerschnitzel is amazing! I am always looking for an excuse to get gussied up and hit the town. Going out to a new restaurant, dancing, or finding a great concert is definitely my kind of night.
  • Per, 32 from South Saint Paul, MN
    32, South Saint Paul, MN
My most general interests are theology and sports. I enjoy philosophy and science, and theology being the highest of the sciences I spend what time I can afford, and handle, reading the great Saints and theologians. I love playing most sports and also watching sports, despite the poor state of organized sports in our culture. I also like building projects: at my partents' or brother's house, or at our family Christmas tree farm. My favorite way to spend an evening is with friends and good drinks over good conversation and maybe a board game.
