58, Savage, MNWhat do I like? Connecting, sharing and celebrating life. To be able to reflect on the journey that brings us to this place and then dream of the future. Also, if you already have children, I'd love to be involved in their lives as a father, mentor or friend. Speaking in schools to kids is one of my favorite and most privileged life's work. It's a passion that requires the most from me and touches the deepest parts of my being. I'm self employed so my schedule is pretty flexible which offers many freedoms. Several years ago (2003) I founded a Catholic Nonprofit that hosts Conferences for teens. It was my time to give back. It successfully operates independent of me now. I've been to three World Youth Days ('97- Paris, 2000 - Rome, '02 - Canada). Chaperoned and embraced the Pilgrimage as well! Amazing. For years I've made an annual three day silent Jesuit led retreat in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Made a Cursillo weekend and have been involved with meeting weekly with several groups of guys ever since as well as a weekly bible study with friends. The richness of our faith is to be shared openly with others. Do you enjoy traveling? There is so much to see, experience and enjoy. I've been to so many beautiful places; yet desire to create memories that I can share with someone. Can you get into a weekend in the mountains skiing? A morning at the gym? Let's get in a workout together!!!! How about an afternoon motorcycling? A morning chat at the coffee shop. Nice dinner out on the town. A fire, a good book or movie, a rainy afternoon ... Let's visit

56, Minneapolis, MNIf you said "yes to all" seven 'Faith Questions' that's great! If you didn't or you won't, well then you are missing out because all seven are in accord with God's will; hopefully you learned sooner in life, than me, that we will not know true peace or happiness when we place our will before His. I don't make the rules obviously, and is that ever a good thing! However I do try to live by them. When I don't, I go to confession. I am weak enough to make mistakes and by the grace of God, strong enough to say, "I'm sorry." I know who I am and why I'm here; and I love being Catholic! I am the father of two grown children that I was blessed to raise; and being their Dad is a blessing I could never have imagined. The nest is empty now and so I find myself starting a new adventure. I enjoy going for walks, dining out or making dinner, stimulating conversation, laughing and relaxing with family and friends. I am conservative. I enjoy being in nature especially on, in or near water-fresh or salt, biking, watching movies, traveling, reading, and much more.
29, Minneapolis, MNHello! I am looking forward to meeting some people with the same morals and values. Let me first describe myself as an independent and motivated individual. I grew up in a big family with 7 siblings and we are all still very close and stay in touch regularly. I enjoy playing and watching sports and staying active. Especially going to Twins games when it is nice out. Its been tough the past few years with some tough years. I try to exercise at least 5 times a week through running and a little lifting. I actually just finished my first marathon in October. Boy was that challenging but definitely worth getting it done. I also love to travel and do a little for work. I just purchased a house last October which was a big step for me to grow up. Now I have even more responsibility owning a house but I am so happy I purchased it. I love it! I am at the point of my life where I am ready to share it with someone. Someone to share the ups and downs and participate in this roller coaster we call life.
32, Bloomington, MNI am passionate about Catholicism, Politics, history trying to improve myself and those around me. Am shy at first but loosen up relatively quickly once I get to know someone. Am looking for someone that is also passionate about Catholicism, serving the Lord and someone that is interested in helping each other get to Heaven. I have learned my mistakes from not having a truly authentic Catholic relationship from a past experience so am looking for someone that is truly a practicing Catholic. I enjoy reading and watching movies in my leisure time in addition to talking to people and spending time with friends.
31, Minneapolis, MNI'm a man of many interests, but my favorite activities are reading, running, biking and gardening. That said, after giving up political news for Lent I've probably already read enough books to last me the whole year already. I can't wait for it to get a bit warmer so I can bike more regularly, putz around in my perennial garden, and open my windows and listen to the birds. I also like to just go out and about and see new places. Last summer I drove around southern Minnesota and visited Mankato, St. Peter and Albert Lea. This summer I think I'll visit more places up north. I haven't watched too many movies or shows recently, but I like action, mystery, and comedies with a dry sense of humor (i.e. Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, etc). Otherwise, life is going pretty well for me. The only thing that would make it better would be if I had someone to share it with, and that's why I'm here.
65, Hoyt Lakes, MNI usually think before I act. I believe deeply in personal freedom and individual responsibility. I believe that actions have consequences, and people need to accept the consequences of their actions if they are to learn from their mistakes and grow. I believe that compassion plays a role to play in my life encouraging people to take care of themselves. In an emergency, of course, you're there to offer help and if someone has helped you out in the past there is no question about your loyalty. Whenever it is realistic, I am convinced people should take care of themselves. I devote adequate time to taking care of my own needs and wants because it makes me happy with my life and because that's what I truly believe every person should do. I cherish personal independence for myself and others. I like the way things are in my life. The ideas and beliefs that have served me well serve me still. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and as far as I'm concerned, "It ain't broke." I've held on to these beliefs for a long time, and held on earnestly. Novelty and intellectual experiments and "the next new idea" hold some interest for me. I like the practical, down-to-earth ways of thinking and believing and living my life that have served me so well. We're born with the capacity to feel deeply, so it's as natural as breathing to experience a range of emotions. Fear and joy and sadness, anger and shame and disgust lie somewhere within each of us. I believe I am a person who is emotionally steady. Some days I want to hang out by myself, not answer the phone ,and make the world go away. The next day I am oot and aboot. It may be the phases of the moon, or something I ate; some days are just like that and then there are the days where everything goes right - which are to be cherished as they are few and far between. To be with others or to be alone are equally good. Sometimes I am more comfortable alone or with one or two friends, while other times I like the crowd at a parade or a fair. By the way, I don't do Twitter any more and if you find me on Facebook, it's not me - I've never done Facebook. LDR is a place I can drive to and be able to do 5 dates in a week for at least 4 weeks in a row. Flying out of state is not an option.
32, Moorhead, MNI really enjoy long conversions with 2-5 people sitting outside with a beer or black/green/white/herbal tea, a bonfire or on a roof top(but not a bonfire on a roof top) or anywhere that is relaxing and beautiful. "The glory of God is man alive and the glory of man is the vision of God" St. Irenaeus. When I was a college student(the first time around) I heard an old priest say those words when I was looking for a radio station to lessen to and I paused for a moment. I realize at that that old man who sounded so old but he was so impassioned and that he was more alive than I was. My life didn't change than but a few months later it did. I'm passionate about serving my Lord Jesus Christ in every aspect of my life. This is because I'm convinced that there is no greater way to live. I'm totally sold and in love with Catholicism. I could talk about this for hours. Leisure time: I spent over an hour praying every day. I also enjoy reading, socializing, sports, rosary run, having a beer with friends preferably outside on the deck, playing Madden (video game) with friends, enjoying nature, watching a movie, building something. I'm not the type of person that you would find on the bachelor or bachelorette. I have watched a grand total of 15 minutes and.. well.. I'm not a fan. It seems that there are a lot of single women who like that show and I'm sure it comes from the desire for romance but ehh.. multiple romantic relationship and emotional manipulation.. I just don't like it. Anyway, I just a guy trying to live in the Love of God. I desire to be so real and holy in this relationship with God that it has the side effect of changing the world around me.
35, New Ulm, MN"A 7 year old can open a door and imagine 'Whoa! What's out there? It could be a dragon!' When a 4 year old opens a door, he thinks 'Whoa...what's out there? It could be anything!'" I like to think that I live with that 4 year old attitude. Not childish, but childlike - with an eagerness to look for joy and beauty and goodness in others and in the world around me. I like to learn about others' passions, and encourage them towards excellence. I'm a pretty simple person, striving for patience and calmness. The little things in life are often the most joyful - games with friends, chats with family, a hike through a forest. I enjoy observing the world...learning about how things work, asking questions, etc. I took a lot of zoology, biology, botany, and geology classes, so have learned a lot about creation, and it constantly amazes! I like to smile and laugh, and enjoy a good joke/pun/brainteaser or two. :) I love to go on adventures, but also love spending time in quiet. There are times for both, but they also are not mutually exclusive. My faith is at the center of everything. If we're not striving to become Saints, what are we doing? I work for the Church, and often forget that it's my job, because it's really just life, isn't it? Try to radiate Christ to others, in the hopes that they would seek Him as well. The faith has shaped me for most of my life, and it's a critical foundation for any type of life-giving friendship or relationship. I come from an immediate family of 5, and although we're a little spread out, we still talk often! I have 6 God-children, and they are some of the most wonderful little kids! "Never be in a hurry. Do everything in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything, even if your whole world seems upset." -St. Francis de Sales (someone once said I really live this...just thought I'd share)
69, Bloomington, MNI am an active person. I love to play golf and pickelball. I enjoy bike riding, cross country skiing and watching college and professional sports. I enjoy volunteering at Bridging and spending an hour a week in adoration. I enjoy attending concerts, plays and theater. I have four grown children, no grand children (yet). I do enjoy spending time with them. I'm not a fancy cook, but enjoy grilling on my deck and occasionally going out to a nice restaurant. I'm kind of a news and sports guy, when it comes to watching TV. My family and my faith are important to me. I am a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion.
32, Minneapolis, MNBorn in Minneapolis, and I am excited to be moving back to the area in May! I've lived and worked in Europe (Zurich and Dublin) for several years and am now looking to put down roots now that I am back in the States. I learned a lot about the world and also a lot about myself. I've been successful in my first decade after college but definitely find myself jealous of my brother whose family includes 4 kids. I love the outdoors in all seasons, I'm calm under pressure, am ambitious, and above all enjoy the simple blessings in life. ENTJ Outside of work, I enjoy telling stories or discussing big topics, I love goofing around with my nieces and nephews, I enjoy cooking with friends, read about 1-2 books per week, and am training for a half-Ironman triathlon.
