First of all, I just wanted to mention that this is my first time doing this kind of thing, but we will see what God has in store through this experience. I know it is hard to meet women that believe and share the same values as me, so I feel like this is a great way to meet someone. edit

  • Rory, 34 from Clinton, MS
    34, Clinton, MS
I am equal parts geek and Southern gentleman with a side of renaissance man. Despite my best efforts, I haven't yet developed any superpowers like I had hoped; however, recently I have gotten stronger - you should see me open jars. I do enjoy telling a good story. Funny stuff just happens to me, so I always have plenty of stories to share. I like to make people laugh. This past year I started trying to learn a new skill every Saturday. Along the way I have picked up some new talents and have discovered a love for baking.

I am not really good talking about myself in these things, but I spend most of my time either working, at church, or in Hattiesburg visiting my brothers and nephew.

I grew up in Tallahassee, Florida with my parents and older brother. My parents were so loving that when they were worried that I wasn't speaking, they took the time to figure out what I had. I had something called apraxia which means I was not able to move my lips like most babies can. Through this diagnosis, I learn to be hard working and know that I can work through anything. If though I will always struggle with my English skills, I know I can always figure a way to become better. After this, I was in Boy Scouts for as long as I remember. It has taught me how to value people and learn many skills that I will use for the rest of my life. I can never say enough about my parents because they encourage not only to be something different from them and my brother (all of them are lawyers), but also pushed me to go to a school called Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. This was one of the greatest things for my parents to push me to do. I got to follow my passion which turn to be mechanical engineering with some wonderful professor. The Honors Program was a great group of people that really helped me open up to understanding all different types of people no matter their background or what they believe. I got to meet the Christian Brothers who are some of the most dedicated men to their beliefs. They really help me find the path which was graduate school. This ended leading me to Starkville, Mississippi for more schooling. I am studying mechanical engineering but have also found the world of kinesiology through my research. Right now, the plan is to earn my Masters and PhD in mechanical just so I can learn more to make lives easier for everyone. I know this is long-winded but this is just a piece of who I am. If you got this far, I am impressed especially since I am know to make quite a few mistakes based on my past. Please feel free to ask me anything and I will be as honest as possible.

  • Brian, 28 from Ridgeland, MS
    28, Ridgeland, MS
I am originally from the Midwest, specifically Missouri, where I grew up. I recently moved to Mississippi for work, which I am truly passionate about and have worked towards for my entire life. I actually found out about Catholic Match through my church flyer. As of late I have become a stronger believer of things happening for a reason and and I believe that has brought me to where I am today. Being relatively new to the area it has been a challenge to meet those my age that share my Catholic Faith. I am looking for someone who is passionate about life, enjoys the simple pleasures in life and is not afraid to be silly. My parents still reside in Kansas City and I have an older sister that lives in Michigan. I hold my family, faith and friends in high regard. I try to visit Missouri when I have a chance, but the distance can be an obstacle. I enjoy traveling to meet new people from all aspects of life, experiencing different cultures, and relishing in the cuisine endemic to that the area.

I love to learn. When I was a child I would read books, write, and try to create short stories. I work in the National Guard, I was sworn in October 2016, I will get shipped off to basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MI on May 24th. I am currently in 11th grade, after I graduate I am hoping to move out of town and go somewhere more urban and up-to-date. After that I will attend a community college; then maybe, West Point Military Academy. There has been many people that influenced my life, one of them would be my father, he raised me into who I am today and I thank him for it. I would work out, read a good book, spend time praying, or hang out with some friends.

Hello. I recently moved to Mississippi from Georgia. I work as a journalist and am looking for someone to take adventures with. After graduating from college at FSU, I spent eight months teaching English in Spain and traveling Europe. I caught the travel bug during my time overseas and look forward to seeing more of the world.
