I have been a history teacher in the Park Hill School District in Kansas City, MO for 11 years. I come from a family of 5 (number 4) and have a close relationship with my brother/sisters. When not teaching or reading about history or politics I enjoy long bike rides on the weekend and open water swimming in the summer with a group of friends. I'm not an excercise freak but do think it helps relieve stress..I have to admit I've been out of the mix as I have adopted two dogs recently. Indiana came into my life last year and when asked to adopt her half brother Boone in November 2011 I couldn't resist. They are a lot of of work but have become a dog lover. They are such a great addition to my home. They are my buddies. I look forward to this spring and summer and getting outside for some bike riding!

To describe myself I would say I'm a little bit of everything. I'm introverted, but also extroverted. I can manage with either. I think I'm funny. (That's what counts, right? :) Love watching movies. Love camping although it's been awhile. If you can tell me what a dutch oven really is then you are really smart because everyone's first thought is farting under the blanket..... No. Anyway, I'm creative and would like to put my creativity to use one day whether it be building furniture or designing my future house. Warning! Although agreeing with the Church whole heartedly, I am not the rigid in your face Catholic. Being Catholic is a lifestyle, not a war banner. I'm not perfect, by no means, by no means. I live life. Yes, I want to become holier, but I want it to be by my choosing. I don't want to be set up on a faith workout plan. Never was good with it and was one of the reasons I left FOCUS. FOCUS was a good organization, but after discovering a lot about myself I decided it was not for me. Took God beating my head up against the wall, but eventually I got the message. So, in a sense through all of that FOCUS helped me discover what my faith really meant to me. I just want to love people and help others do the same. Okay, that went a little more in depth than I planned, but now you know a bit more about me which is the point. Now a little bit about what I want to do in the near future. Pay off student loans. Go to Ireland!! Get a hobby! Find friends to hang out with on a regular basis. Get in shape! Hopefully look into body building. Live life and not worry about where I'm at and where I'm not!! It wastes too much time. Find a girl. Who would have thought? ;)

I guess if I have a passion it's fishing. That's what I do the most, but I'm pretty much open to anything. I have worked all my life. I'm looking forward to retirement in a couple years. I bought a motorhome about a year ago and looking forward to making some road trips. I like long motorcycle rides in the country on a winding road.

I'm just a normal guy, pretty self sufficient, handyman, carpenter, cook or bake when I have time. I try to stay active in order to stay in shape. If I were to admit to a passion, I would have have to say the projects that I've completed on my house. I've never had any children, so I substitute.

Hello. I am a convert to the faith. I really enjoy going to the traditional Latin Mass. Other than that I am a big fan of KC sports teams. However, I would say my favorite thing in to do is to hike. I just wished Missouri had more mountains to hike. I try to be a open book, so if you have questions ask away.

I have been told that being with me is like being in "The Far Side", if you remember that cartoon strip - I have a sort of off beat but good sense of humor. I am empathetic and spiritual. I have been accused of being an eternal optimist. Like all of us, I have known grief and great loss. It is part of the human experience. I learned from Thomas Jefferson that its important to find the good around us and make the most of it. One of my other heroes, Theodore Roosevelt, was credited with saying: "Far better is it to dare mighty things than to take rank with those poor spirits who know neither victory nor defeat". (Paraphrased). I am searching for my best friend. It seems to me that if you can't feel free to share all of yourself - good and bad, without feeling awkward, and support and accept your partner/mate in the same way, as you both strive to become better, both as individuals and as a couple, the relationship will be lacking that intangible something that that leads to a true sense of fulfilment. I would love to find someone to share the wonder of exploring life and God's creation with. A partner who wants to make our part of the world a little bit better. I value honesty, loyalty, genuineness, faith and commitment. Although I enjoy adventure and occasional travel, I like sharing the everyday, small moments with loved ones the most. Like coffee.

Work and spending time with my dear ole mom have been my priorities for the past couple of years. I enjoy riding bicycles and walking with my dog when time permits.

I love Jesus, and try to develop my relationship with Him daily. I look forward to eternity--hopefully in heaven :) -- and seek to recognize and appreciate those times God gives up glimpses of heaven here on earth. I hope to fill this in more later as I gotta go to work soon!

I am very passionate about my family, friends, faith, and work. I have lived in 4 different cities in 28 years and I love to travel. My goal by 2018 is to travel abroad somewhere (I'm open to options if you have any!) I am a die hard Green Bay Packers fan and I love to golf! I have a yellow lab named Remy and he is pretty much the coolest little man around. He gives the best hugs! I am looking for an Adventure partner, someone that wants to travel not only abroad but challenge me to try new things in KC!
