66, Belgrade, MTI left the Berkeley, CA scene in 1972 only to walk into a new age imposter of the Church. I sat next to the Tilma of Juan Diego in 1973. I prayed a form of the Mary's consecration of Russia I prayed a "new age rosary" every day most of my young adulthood. I wore a scapular, "miraculous Mary medal" , tried to live a life in service of God and in friendship with the Saints. I read Catherine of Sienna's biography and "Dialogues". I helped to produce their publications, served as an armed bodyguard to the "messenger" and her family, helped to work out logistics for preparation for their end of the world vision. I married and was divorced from a "recovering Catholic" while in the cult, and found out we were never married in compliance with the form for valid marriage in the Catholic Church. After three years of advertising sales trips in the Montana, Wyoming region I met Mother Angelica courtesy of a Sheridan, Wyoming cable network station one dark particularly lonesome winter night. Soon thereafter I heard the conversion stories from people that seemed like my family. And my family was a vague recollection of New York Irish Catholic roots I'd been separated from long ago. I watched that "coming home" program until I had to see this thing they were talking about first hand. My heart would settle for nothing less than to dive in. I left a pretty decent job for an employment debacle that lasted for two more years until it became obvious I was unemployable and therefore would have to be self employed. I have been a painting contractor through the greater part of the housing bubble in SW Montana. But I got to have the freedom to throw myself into this new adventure--being a Catholic convert in a time when in certain circles it may bring more than icy stares. RCIA in about 2000. When I realized the "dedicated" parishoners (I was just learning about cafeteria Catholics) were more liberal than the new agers I'd left behind and heard the priest blithely announce in his Sunday homily that he didn't say, nor see a need to say, the Holy Rosary, I knew my search was not through. Not to long after that I was driving around eight hours every other week to a 1962 version of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Then after a Lent of fasting I ended up at the chapel I've been attending for a few years now. Finally I've seen the prayers of forty years come to fruition. This is my 1st letter of interest to an anonymous Catholic lady. And so God bless us all.

71, Hamilton, MTAfter many years away from the Church as a sailor and soldier, w/ the help of a friend and my Guardian Angel, I found my way back. I went to any number of "Masses" and they were not as I remembered. Then my friend took me to the latin Mass and I knew that I had found my way back. Was in the navy in Vietnam as an advisor on a Vietnamese patrol boat, also combat engineer and Special Forces in the army. 10 years in Germany and roamed most of western Europe skiing and skydiving and camping. Speak German. love Bavaria, Tirol and southern France. I am attempting to make up for 30 years of missing Mass and not praying my morning and evening prayers. I had to get a divorce before the diocese of Portland, Maine would accept my petition for annulment. Still in that process. Divorce was granted in Jan. I am currently the caretaker at a rifle range in Hamilton, Montana. My first wife, German born, died of the after effects of radiation therapy for cancer in '02. I made a mistake and married a novus ordo Catholic years later who wouldn't take my name or go to Mass with me. Of course, she didn't tell me this before we were married.
65, Hamilton, MTI am passionate about: 1. My family and preserving our legacy for the future. 2. My spiritual life and that of my family; leading an exemplary life here and attaining the rewards of the next. 3. Taking care of my elderly father for whatever time he has remaining. 4. Hiking, fishing, and camping in the summer time with my brothers. 5. Reading. The most influential man in my life was my paternal grandfather. He was a quiet and reserved man and we were much alike with many shared interests. I miss him very much. The most influential woman in my life was my mother. She was the epitome of goodness. She was very kind, generous, and loving. The focus of her life was her family. She loved being a mother to her children. And she was a wonderful cook. I miss her more than I could ever put into words. I like to read in my free time. In the summer I enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping with my brothers; swimming, too, if the water isn't too cold.
20, Helena, MTI am just here looking for someone that I can serve and make happy. I am passionate about my faith, history, and the great books of antiquity. I am currently in college.
