I am in good health and physical condition, I take care of myself. I have listed my body type as athletic and toned but muscular is more accurate. I get plenty of exercise working on my ranch and skiing. My passion is snow skiing. I hope to quit work soon, buy a ski in - ski out home on the Big Mountain and enjoy life. I like to ski 100 days a season. I have been very active politically and worked for Ronald Reagan and Pat Buchanan. I am issue orientated and love our Country. I respect the views of others who disagree with me and consider it to be the foundation of our Liberty that I defend their right to do so. I have the gift of being able to make people laugh and am out going and friendly. I love being with family and old friends and am greatly blessed with many of them. I also enjoy meeting new people. I love to have fun. I was divorced in March 2006. I enjoyed being married and living in a committed loving relationship. I have a strong relationship with my step-daughters and a friendship with my 'ex'. I am ready to move on and start dating. I want to take the time necessary to find that special person who will add to my life as I add to hers and get married again. A strong belief in Jesus Christ is also important to me. Like most folks I want to find my soul mate. I want someone that I can share my life with and love without reservation. I want someone who is well educated but it does not necessarily need to be from a formal academic experience. I have a strong desire to be informed and read daily and want to be able to have intelligent discussions with my mate.I am very physical and need to have that instinctual 'animal attraction' if things are to go anywhere. I do not want to appear shallow with that statement but it is true. I need a physically beautiful woman that takes care of herself. Beyond that I want someone who is honest, loyal, true and trust worthy with good morals and family values who will love me as much as I will love her.

  • Richard, 66 from Belgrade, MT

I left the Berkeley, CA scene in 1972 only to walk into a new age imposter of the Church. I sat next to the Tilma of Juan Diego in 1973. I prayed a form of the Mary's consecration of Russia I prayed a "new age rosary" every day most of my young adulthood. I wore a scapular, "miraculous Mary medal" , tried to live a life in service of God and in friendship with the Saints. I read Catherine of Sienna's biography and "Dialogues". I helped to produce their publications, served as an armed bodyguard to the "messenger" and her family, helped to work out logistics for preparation for their end of the world vision. I married and was divorced from a "recovering Catholic" while in the cult, and found out we were never married in compliance with the form for valid marriage in the Catholic Church. After three years of advertising sales trips in the Montana, Wyoming region I met Mother Angelica courtesy of a Sheridan, Wyoming cable network station one dark particularly lonesome winter night. Soon thereafter I heard the conversion stories from people that seemed like my family. And my family was a vague recollection of New York Irish Catholic roots I'd been separated from long ago. I watched that "coming home" program until I had to see this thing they were talking about first hand. My heart would settle for nothing less than to dive in. I left a pretty decent job for an employment debacle that lasted for two more years until it became obvious I was unemployable and therefore would have to be self employed. I have been a painting contractor through the greater part of the housing bubble in SW Montana. But I got to have the freedom to throw myself into this new adventure--being a Catholic convert in a time when in certain circles it may bring more than icy stares. RCIA in about 2000. When I realized the "dedicated" parishoners (I was just learning about cafeteria Catholics) were more liberal than the new agers I'd left behind and heard the priest blithely announce in his Sunday homily that he didn't say, nor see a need to say, the Holy Rosary, I knew my search was not through. Not to long after that I was driving around eight hours every other week to a 1962 version of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Then after a Lent of fasting I ended up at the chapel I've been attending for a few years now. Finally I've seen the prayers of forty years come to fruition. This is my 1st letter of interest to an anonymous Catholic lady. And so God bless us all.

  • Jim, 75 from Billings, MT
    75, Billings, MT
I was born & raised Catholic. As a youngster I was an alter boy, old school---had to learn my prayers in Latin. Being raised in a small Montana town in the 50's was a real blessing. Later I was confirmed, graduated from high school and the U of Montana at Missoula. Next I was a Navy pilot, active duty for 13 years and then the reserves for another 15, retiring as a Navy Commander. I believe that one of my strongest characteristics is that I am a "seeker", always striving to be a better person, a better Christian. As such I have read the Bible cover to cover numerous times, been involved in men's fellowships in Montana, California and Mexico. I love the Lord and have memorized many Bible verses that give me daily direction. My "signature" and all time favorite is Proverbs 3:5-6. Great instruction and direction and also parts of it---a challenge for me! My walk with the Lord has not always been easy, but I believe that the Holy Spirit interceded in my behalf MANY years ago, probably starting when my dad was killed in a car accident when I was 10. My grandma on my mother's side was a true saint in her own way. Always pleasant, non judgmental and always smiling, a wonderful 100% Irish Catholic. Then there was my Uncle Walt, married to my dad's sister. What a guy. I could write a book on him. He lived about 250 miles from us in North Dakota and became my surrogate dad after mine passed. Born with only one arm and only 4 fingers, and standing just 5' 4", he was still a GIANT of a man. I get goose bumps every time I remember some of the many experiences and lessons learned from him. I enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, walking and challenges in my business life. My definition of retirement is doing what I want, when I want and where I want. By that definition I have been retired about 20 years, but I am still working! I love what I do! What I am looking for? First a friend. I am not ready at this time to make a commitment. You might say I am moving very cautiously. As I said, first a friend and then companionship and if things work out fine! If not, fine! The person that I am looking for must be committed to the Lord. Notice, I did not say perfect as I am not either. Pleasant, a happy smile, likes to travel, does not get bored, a self starter, if you will. I guess I have briefly outlined who I am and where I want to "go". Thanks for reading this far! Blessings, Jim

After many years away from the Church as a sailor and soldier, w/ the help of a friend and my Guardian Angel, I found my way back. I went to any number of "Masses" and they were not as I remembered. Then my friend took me to the latin Mass and I knew that I had found my way back. Was in the navy in Vietnam as an advisor on a Vietnamese patrol boat, also combat engineer and Special Forces in the army. 10 years in Germany and roamed most of western Europe skiing and skydiving and camping. Speak German. love Bavaria, Tirol and southern France. I am attempting to make up for 30 years of missing Mass and not praying my morning and evening prayers. I had to get a divorce before the diocese of Portland, Maine would accept my petition for annulment. Still in that process. Divorce was granted in Jan. I am currently the caretaker at a rifle range in Hamilton, Montana. My first wife, German born, died of the after effects of radiation therapy for cancer in '02. I made a mistake and married a novus ordo Catholic years later who wouldn't take my name or go to Mass with me. Of course, she didn't tell me this before we were married.

I am passionate about: 1. My family and preserving our legacy for the future. 2. My spiritual life and that of my family; leading an exemplary life here and attaining the rewards of the next. 3. Taking care of my elderly father for whatever time he has remaining. 4. Hiking, fishing, and camping in the summer time with my brothers. 5. Reading. The most influential man in my life was my paternal grandfather. He was a quiet and reserved man and we were much alike with many shared interests. I miss him very much. The most influential woman in my life was my mother. She was the epitome of goodness. She was very kind, generous, and loving. The focus of her life was her family. She loved being a mother to her children. And she was a wonderful cook. I miss her more than I could ever put into words. I like to read in my free time. In the summer I enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping with my brothers; swimming, too, if the water isn't too cold.

I would say that my passion is being a member of the Knights Of Columbus. Through the Knights, I get to know others with a strong faith. I may not be out there helping others, but helping others help them is what is important to me.
