I work in a professional practice in the great plains and I like living in a small town. I have always lived in communities of less than 50,000 in population except when I attended college. I enjoy travelling throughout the United states and have taken several international trips which I enjoyed. I enjoy watching college and professional sports and also cultural events such as theatre and concert events. I recently completed the conversion process to the Catholic church and I was confirmed earlier this year. I worshipped regularly as a Catholic for a year before being confirmed and I have watched mass regularly on television for several years before starting to attend mass. My primary reason for conversion was my belief in the teachings of the church regarding the Eucharist. The protestant denomination in which I was formerly involved placed little emphasis on communion and was becoming much to liberal from my perspective. I would like to meet someone who has a college degree and similar interests to those that I have mentioned.

I'm hardly the perfect guy, but I am kind and faithful. My friendships are close, and I like connecting on a deep level with people. I feel very strongly that friendship is not just about two people having fun together--its about being there for the other when life is hard. Making a gift of oneself should be a joy and not a burden. I'd love to be a dad, although at my age, I'm realistic about my chances. I'm good with kids, and my empathy and life experience enable me to sense when they are lonely or stressed. My nieces and nephews often do better in talking with me than they do with their own parents! I've worked a number of different jobs. I had my own law practice for eight years, with 1400+ clients. It was going well when I decided I had to shut it down and enter the seminary. More on that shortly. I've worked in political campaigns and as a professional staff member/counsel for an oversight committee with the U.S. House of Representatives. I had a one-year appointment as Counsel to the Inspector General of the IRS, taught catechism at a parish school and was the Administrator at a small Catholic boarding school for high-school boys. Currently, I am the business manager at a seminary. There was a time a several years ago when I thought I might be called to the priesthood. In three years at seminary, I forged lasting friendships and deepened my spiritual life and knowledge and understanding of the Faith. Closing my practice for this step has been professionally costly, but I am glad I did it. I've traveled a good bit, and I made the annual Pentecost pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres four times (73 mile hike in 2.5 days). I like to read about current events, economics, philosophy, history and theology. I like the outdoors--off-road biking, hiking, bird-watching, occasionally hunting, going to the beach, watching a good football game. I also enjoy movies. A good popcorn flick now and then is fun, but I especially enjoy movies that touch me or make me think. And I love good, soul-lifting music. Mom was a musician (french horn), so beautiful music was regularly enjoyed in our house.

Hi! I'm Matt. I think the best way to discribe myself is to say that I am a simpe person. I love to laugh and be light hearted. I also love to hang out with my friends and family. They all share a special place in my heart. I love being catholic. It can be challenging at times, but it is also very rewarding. It is amazing to me how many wonderfull things take place each day that without the Lord there opening my eyes I would miss. I try to keep God as close to me as possible. I grew up on a farm, so being outdoors is something I enjoy. Wether it is fishing, riding ATV's, or just going for a evening ride, I like them all. I like to go to concerts, and county fairs. I also enjoy following the nebraska cornhuskers and the kansas city royals. If there is anything you have a question about or anything else you would like to know, please feel free to ask.

I am and always will be a teacher at heart. I teach math and religion to junior high students in Lincoln. I love those kids even though middle schoolers can drive a guy batty. I also consider myself to be a bit of a sports junkie. I will watch and play anything. My favorite sports are baseball and football and I love my Huskers and will cheer them on in any sport. I also enjoy history and politics and try to keep informed on current issues. I'm an open book and will gladly share anything you want to know. All you have to do is ask and I look forward to knowing more things about you as well!

My Catholic faith is important to me. I have gone thru some struggles in my life and it is my relationship with God that has sustained me. I get satisfaction from helping others whenever I can be of service. I have two therapy dogs (I get the therapy) that I enjoy taking for walks and being with nature. My parents have been influential in my life-my mother has always been a strong catholic-my dad joined the church when he was 70. I have been in recovery from alcoholism for 32 years and have met a lot of influential people through this recovery program. Jesus has been my role model as he came down to live among the sinners, the sick and the poor and was involved in their healing. I try to do that to the extent I can. In my leisure time I like to work out 3-4 times per week either at the Y or cycling outside. I am involved in Light of the World which is a faith sharing group and attend several support group meetings a week.

I can build or fix just about anything. I have a great love for music and have a larger music collection than most radio stations. I don't drink, but don't mind when other people do. I have a huge family that is all very close and gets together often. I work for a medium sized corporation. I like movies, trying new resturants, activities with my kids, just about anything. Anything can be fun if you make it. :) I am artistic and creative. I have a big heart and love to make people laugh. I love to hear my kids laugh and my house is the main hangout for them and their friends. I think they all like the fact that I never yell and I let them be themselves. I like intelligent conversations, comfortable silences, or being silly. I am the kind of person who opens the door for other people, says please and thank you, and respects the feelings of others. I teach my kids the same. The best teacher is by example. :) I like to keep my house clean, but don't care if my cars have dirt on them. I'm pretty easy going. Patience is the virtue of a person of faith. - Pope Francis

Hey there, I'm a farmer and love it to the fullest. I went to UNL for mechanized systems management (basically Ag engineering) and am now back home full time farming with dad. I am trying to start a business for chemical application and seed sales. I feel like God has blessed with a good opportunity to start a business along side farming. In my free time I like to hang with friends, play cards, anything social. I'm a social person and like to be sarcastic. I also don't mind a nice night in watching TV either. I would say that one of my favorite things is the smell of fresh tilled dirt. Also the sunset behind a freshly baled hay field. If you have any questions fell free to ask. I'm at a point in my life I want someone strong in their faith to walk along with me and help me grow more. I also looking for someone that wants to farm or live on a farm or can handle someone that works lots of hours. I look forward to talking to Ya :)

Hi! I'm Nate, I was born in Omaha and moved to Lincoln when I was about ten. All my family lives in Omaha and I plan on moving back some day. Currently attending school for electromechanical systems, and I'm working full time. So my time is pretty valuable to me. I would say history and world affairs are my passion, these topics consume most my free time. Along with going to the gym. A lot of reading! I'm pretty traditional and do not keep up with the times. I have a large family and am very close with them. Family is the most important thing in my life.
