60, Alma, NEI work in a professional practice in the great plains and I like living in a small town. I have always lived in communities of less than 50,000 in population except when I attended college. I enjoy travelling throughout the United states and have taken several international trips which I enjoyed. I enjoy watching college and professional sports and also cultural events such as theatre and concert events. I recently completed the conversion process to the Catholic church and I was confirmed earlier this year. I worshipped regularly as a Catholic for a year before being confirmed and I have watched mass regularly on television for several years before starting to attend mass. My primary reason for conversion was my belief in the teachings of the church regarding the Eucharist. The protestant denomination in which I was formerly involved placed little emphasis on communion and was becoming much to liberal from my perspective. I would like to meet someone who has a college degree and similar interests to those that I have mentioned.
68, Lincoln, NEI tend to be direct and informed; and I will gravitate toward women who are intellectually exciting, creative, ambitious, hard working and unconventional and like to dicuss topics broadly and thoroughly. In return I am fiercely loyal. I am daring, I like novel ideas and new adventures.
61, Lincoln, NEI am a homebody that enjoys the comfort of being in my living room, reading or watching good quality television or movies. I enjoy shopping and eating at restaurants. I love to travel, especially to historic areas of America and Europe. I have lived in Europe when I was serving in the US Army. I love European history, art, arcthiture and culture. I love history, especially medieval and American colonial. I am traditional in what I believe in. I am a believer in God, family, country, and conservative values. I am a conservative republican, who is a devout Catholic. I was married for many years, have been divorced for about six years, and have an annulment. I have one child who is a junior in high school. I will always be a small-town guy, even though I have lived in Lincoln for over 30 years. I still miss the quiet and beauty of country life. As much as I enjoy the amenities of city life, I would never be happy in a big city such as Chicago, New York or Los Angeles. Life on an acreage really appeals to me. I was a handguns instructor and am a supporter of the second amendment. My educational background was in secondary education, and I have completed several years in graduate school studying history and special education. I enjoy cooking and researching my family genealogy, reading and writing articles for a local publication. I hope to lead tours in Colonial American locations and Europe in the near future. I have no interest in sports at all. I don't even watch them on TV. I have never used tobacco or drugs. I am not much of a drinker and do not gamble. I am not fond of bars or loud, crowded places. I love animals of all kinds and am looking for someone who shares my values, someone who is not a workaholic, and who values the time she spends with me and wants to discuss everything from current affairs, news, history and her day. I am looking for a kind of girl next door, who has a sense of class and who is well-read, articulate, and kind. I enjoy classic old movies from the 30s through the sixties, as well as a few of the well-made modern ones. As far as music, I am eclectic. I enjoy a lot of the great old sixties songs and singers such as Dean Martin, Petula Clark, Linda Ronstadt, as well as some of the really good country stars of old. I occasionally enjoy opera, classical, and Irish. I detest rap, hip-hop, and heavy metal. If you who would rather listen to a thunderstorm than the noise of a crowded bar, then we may go well together.
65, Lincoln, NEI don't like writing these things. I enjoy life and want to find someone to share it with. I've been described as fun-loving, hard working, not a bad dancer (but not a good one, either), I love the Huskers, but I'm not a huge sports fan, I like to cook-but not always.
60, Lincoln, NEMy faith is an important part of my life. I am a "cradle" Catholic. I absolutely love to travel. I am also an audiophile. I like to read non-fiction books like history and economics.

68, Lincoln, NEAnother persons first impression of me would be of someone who appears quiet and serious, the description of an introvert. The three character traits usually used to describe me are dependable, honest, and loyal. However, introverts also enjoy having a good time with family and friends, just not in a loud and boisterous manner. Because of my varied background, I meet and mix well with superiors, peers and subordinates. I am passionate about the value of volunteerism through community service organizations. A person gains much more from such participation than they give whether the activity involves doing something directly with others (serving meals at a food kitchen) or doing an activity alone (cleaning trash along a bicycle trail). Some of the most interesting and influential people in my life have been volunteers of some sort or other. Besides volunteerism, I enjoy traveling, walking, reading, and watching movies/television, including the news and documentaries. In addition, I am a big attender of college volleyball, basketball, baseball, and football games and have season tickets for of these sports. Youth sports/fine arts performances are also enjoyable for me. Going out to dinner and entertainment functions occasionally must be a part of my leisure time.
64, Lincoln, NEI am passionate about family and friends. Also love Husker athletics and look forward to working or attending sporting events. Person most influential to me was my dad, he taught me sense of responsibility and respect. For fun and leisure, I love golf and play as much as I can.
62, Lincoln, NEMy life is a bit complicated at the moment. I am still in the process of getting divorced (6 months since the filing) so I am not actually available for dating or a relationship. I also have eleven-year-old twins (half-time +) who are still getting used to this change. At the same time, I recently moved to Lincoln and I don't know many people. Since I have always preferred the company of women, I decided to try a dating site to find compatible friends. I am available for coffee, lunch, dinner, bike rides and friendship. A movie, play or symphony would be fun. I know, these kind of sound like dates but that is not my intent. Again, its complicated. I am interested in art, politics, current events and reading. While I typically do not watch sports on television, I do work out and I walk, bike, ski, and scuba dive. I am a Nebraska fan, but I cant stand to watch unless we are so far ahead that victory is assured. I have no moral qualms about Nebraska running up the score. With that exception, the rest of my ethical and moral makeup is pretty conventional. I strive to be honest, fair and kind. I value that in others. I would be a loyal friend.
66, Lincoln, NEMy Catholic faith is important to me. I have gone thru some struggles in my life and it is my relationship with God that has sustained me. I get satisfaction from helping others whenever I can be of service. I have two therapy dogs (I get the therapy) that I enjoy taking for walks and being with nature. My parents have been influential in my life-my mother has always been a strong catholic-my dad joined the church when he was 70. I have been in recovery from alcoholism for 32 years and have met a lot of influential people through this recovery program. Jesus has been my role model as he came down to live among the sinners, the sick and the poor and was involved in their healing. I try to do that to the extent I can. In my leisure time I like to work out 3-4 times per week either at the Y or cycling outside. I am involved in Light of the World which is a faith sharing group and attend several support group meetings a week.
71, Lincoln, NELooking for a to enjoy life with another woman and to enjoy family on both our sides. My family is the most influential now and still consider my late wife also. My free time i spend on internet, TV, and just like to work on projects around the house.
61, Tecumseh, NEI'm just at Irish Catholic kid from South Omaha. I love the mountains, and go there to camp frequently. I'm easy to be around, always positive.
