  • Marcus, 63 from Wayne, NE
    63, Wayne, NE
I'm an easygoing, orthodox Catholic gentleman. While I do get dressed up on special occasions I feel more comfortable in jeans. I have a curious mind and enjoy learning new things. I enjoy history, language, movies, classic TV, old time radio and talk radio. I've been told I'm a funny person and I recently was asked to MC a farewell luncheon for a retiring colleague--the second time I've been asked to do that. My sense of humor runs from Peanuts to the Far Side, from Bob Newhart to the Marx Brothers. I love animals (cats are ok, but I'm definitely a dog person). I'm a loyal Chicago Cubs fan (therefore by definition an eternal optimist). While no Fred Astaire I do enjoy dancing. I'm active in my parish as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion, member of the Religious Formation Committee, Knights of Columbus, and the RCIA team. I have served on the parish Board of Education including one year as president. I'm looking forward to the opportunity of learning and exploring new activities and most importantly sharing the journey to Heaven with a special woman who is both my best friend and wife.
  • Matthew, 55 from Omaha, NE
    55, Omaha, NE
I would describe myself as very dedicated, dependable, hard-working and sincere. I am honest to a fault. While I take my responsibilities seriously, I do enjoy life and the medicine of laughter. I want very much to share my life with someone and have open and honest communication. I have traveled extensively. I grew up in Nebraska, went to college in Chicago, and subsequently worked and lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, Rome, Zurich and Detroit before moving back to Omaha. I appreciate my midwestern roots but value the experience I gained from my travels and work. I am well-educated, with an engineering degree and an MBA. I am looking for some stability at this point in my life (which is not to say that I don't still enjoy traveling). I maintain a regular exercise routine, which is important to me (to relieve stress as well as stay in great shape). I love music, sports, gardening and cooking. I am devoted to my family and am extremely loyal. I believe that you are either 'green and growing or ripe and rotting', which is to say I try to make myself a better person each and every day. If you are interested to this point, let me know, I'd be happy to share more about myself with you...and get to know you! I am seeking someone who is very self-assured and is comfortable 'in their own skin', someone who can be independent and assertive yet wants to be reliant on a mate for emotional support. I am looking for a mature individual who still has that little girl inside and isn't afraid to let her show! I want a Christ-centered relationship with someone who will cling to that rock with me when the storms of life come. I'd also like to find someone who really values spending quality time with family. A great sense of humor is essential!

  • Tim, 47 from Lincoln, NE
    47, Lincoln, NE
I can build or fix just about anything. I have a great love for music and have a larger music collection than most radio stations. I don't drink, but don't mind when other people do. I have a huge family that is all very close and gets together often. I work for a medium sized corporation. I like movies, trying new resturants, activities with my kids, just about anything. Anything can be fun if you make it. :) I am artistic and creative. I have a big heart and love to make people laugh. I love to hear my kids laugh and my house is the main hangout for them and their friends. I think they all like the fact that I never yell and I let them be themselves. I like intelligent conversations, comfortable silences, or being silly. I am the kind of person who opens the door for other people, says please and thank you, and respects the feelings of others. I teach my kids the same. The best teacher is by example. :) I like to keep my house clean, but don't care if my cars have dirt on them. I'm pretty easy going. Patience is the virtue of a person of faith. - Pope Francis

  • Will, 30 from Omaha, NE
    30, Omaha, NE
In this day and age in America it almost seems odd to openly classify yourself as a "Catholic man", but I do, because at the end of the day I believe life is pointless without faith. I'm passionate about all my beliefs, including literature, music, Husker football, exercise, and applying myself to whatever test God puts before me.
  • Sean, 61 from Omaha, NE
    61, Omaha, NE
My quiet time is an afternoon walk with my dog when I pray the rosary. I'm blessed with a generous pension, everything is paid for, so I'm ready to travel. I enjoy all sports especially Kansas City football and baseball. I"m in very good shape and workout hard 5 days a week. I really liked being married and miss the affection and laughs.
  • Nate, 24 from Omaha, NE
    24, Omaha, NE
My name is Nate I love the outdoors and I enjoy being around friends and family. I am originally from Wyoming, I moved to Nebraska to work for First National bank after graduating from the University of Wyoming, with a bachelors degree in business administration. My Catholic faith is very important to me for as long I can remember but especially in the past few years as I have moved away from family and friends. God has used that to help me grow closer to him and helped me grow as a person. If I am not at work I am usually out enjoying the outdoors fishing hunting and taking pictures.I also like going out with friends and having a good time or staying in and enjoying a good movie!
  • Ryan, 34 from Omaha, NE
    34, Omaha, NE
Hmm... Well, first and most important thing about me is I am a dad. I love my little girl more than anything. She makes me a better man on a daily basis. I have her every other weekend. Outside of my M-F 8-5 job I am very active in our faith. This past year of mercy has given me the tools to try and incorporate corporal and spiritual works of mercy into my daily life. My hobbies: I love to stay active. I run or lift weights 3-5 times a week. I try to live as St. Augustine states, "Take care of your body as you're going to live forever, take care of your soul as you will die tomorrow." I could eat better and I am continually working on that. I love food, who doesn't? :) I am an outdoors person. I hunt a lot (duck hunting is my passion) in the colder months. I fish, camp and hike in the warmer months. Music is something I absolutely love. It unlocks emotion in me very easily. I listen to all kinds. I am really not a fan of rap or R&B. Otherwise I listen to everything from 80's, country, metal to classical piano. I played bass in a band many years ago but would like to learn another instrument or pick up my bass back up again sometime soon. I watch like zero TV. I love movies of all kinds. I'm a huge Nebraska Cornhusker football fan and a Chicago White Sox fan. That is about it for sports for me. Not sure what else to says.. I prefer conversation face to face over anything. I text and do social media these days because that's how most people communicate. So I feel this process to be a bit cumbersome.
  • Jesse, 27 from Omaha, NE
    27, Omaha, NE
I am a person who is working on becoming Catholic. I don't know what you call that. Catholic-to-be? I was raised very religiously and have always taken faith seriously, so I'm hoping to find someone who can say the same. It might seem weird that I'm on this site, but there's more on that below, under the "faith" section. I'm 27 years old, love anything to do with the outdoors, hope to be able to travel in the future, and am marriage-minded. I have a lust for life, and a growing bucket-list. I believe it's important to be well cultured and before I die I want to have mastered an instrument, one or two foreign languages, visited two countries on each continent, and read more books than my dad has. (The last of these may be the most difficult.) My Values are the good old ones; knowing God is necessary for being truly good, every divorce is a tragedy, children are the greatest wealth in a person's life, and once a man is married, the happiness of his wife comes before all else. A man must play all kinds of roles but none should define him as much as husband and father.
